Katiya Aeseph

Unread post by Cube404 »

(I will be keeping some parts vague, reveal if asked // needed to. Probably in PM's.)

First Name: Katiya
Last Name: Aeseph

Appearance: Has a slender build, not very much muscle to her. Her skin is tanned, showing she's from the Southern part of the world. There are a few spots on her arms, near the bicep, from her heritage. Also (and most noticeable) are the horns, which sweep backwards (Same color as skin, albeit slightly whiter due to covering them)
Race: Tiefling
Age: ~23
Height 5'-9
Weight: 125
Eyes: Golden hue
Hair: Light Grey (Almost always put into a ponytail)
Facial Hair Style: No beards, 'staches, or 'chops here! Unless you know, you've imbibed too much Ale or something. Then who knows what you'll see!

Personality Profile: Used to be very shy (When first arriving at Baldur's, changed to be a little more sociable coming back) since she hasn't really had the best of times talking to people in her hometown. She's usually content to just watch people go about their business. Isn't one to try and stand out, but is willing (and perhaps attempting) to make friends, given that they're patient enough. She's also very proud to have come from Amn, and to have made it this far North by herself. Due (in no small part) to her heritage, she isn't very keen on being near Paladins, or other "Holy" people. Gives her the shakes, might occasionally freeze up, etc.

General Health: All in all, pretty healthy, aside from the occasional "scratch" from trap experiments. Goes through a type of panic attack when near "Divine" people, getting worse with stronger Divinity. (*Cough* Meri.)
Deity: Mask
Initial Alignment: Neutral Evil
Profession: Wanderer, Dock Worker, Errand Runner
Base Class & Proposed Development: Rogue, mainly wanted to have her as a "traveler" from Amn, that wandered around the Sword Coast area. (If actual Build detail is needed, let me know!)
Habits/Hobbies: Sitting on "her" bench, "Drawing" on said bench, Maps, Reading, Poking fun at people, Dice games, Watching the Trade Way, Practicing Bladework, Throwing rocks at Charraj
Languages: Common, Abyssal, Infernal, Elven, Orc, Halfling, Dwarf.
Weapon of Choice: Daggers.

Background: A child abandoned near her first year, she was left near Waukeen's Temple in Athkatla (Amn's capitol city). She was, at first, rejected by the Priests, who saw the small horns as an ill omen. Ultimately, they sheltered her for some time, giving her a fairly good education and a place to stay. Years came and went, and she was finally "old enough to look after herself" as the Priesthood said. "Old enough" happened to be 12, and by then, Kat had learned her way through the grand Port City, also learning to hide her "ill omens". She took to "urban exploration", with maybe one or two pilfers from the many stalls, becoming one of the many street urchins of the Docks district.

Living life evading Guards and the Cowled Wizards eye, taught Kat the skills needed to stay hidden. Years passed, as she found odd jobs to do, ranging from unloading cargo to delivering mail throughout the "City of Gold". Eventually, she became bored of seeing Athkatla, since she had been there for over 20 years. Kat wanted to see more of the world, other than the great walls of the city, so she left the city, not as quietly as she had hoped, and started her trek Northward. With no particular goal in mind, she wandered for some time, seeing the sights of the world with newborn eyes.

After some time, she passed through Nashkel, and finally exited Amn. Skipping Beregost all together, she arrived at Baldur's Gate. The Fist weren't exactly thrilled about her presence, since she hadn't exactly concealed herself that well (Not that she was trying, anyway). Most people were surprised, or downright ignored her, but she found her place and made a handful of acquaintances.

Rumours started flying about Amn, and speculations flew around. Mobilizing military? Disputes on the Amnian border? Kat decided rather than be involved (Or worse, be accused of spying), she should leave before the going got rough. Waiting until the whole affair was done and over with, she returned to Baldur's, to find a familiar campsite waiting.

Goals: Eventually wants to see the entirety of the Northern Coast, maybe venture through Icewind Dale.
Find work, decide on possible places to stay or rest at the very least.
Deciding on what she wants to do, pretty "live in the moment".
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
- Is a Tief, always possible for anything to happen there.
- Has lived in Amn for almost all her life, possibility of being tracked down (By Amnians, Cowled Wizards etc.)
- Does have a Hat from a Demon Farmer. (Event item)
- Vague references everywhere, details if asked//needed.

(May expand, clarify, reword etc. This is my first actual character.)

Reviewed, rewarded
My ship plowed through the storm.
Looking into the waves, I grew dizzy,
for I glimpsed the chasm between myself & the infinite.

Yacht life.
