Formal Letters Sent, The Slayers, Candlekeep, and Doron (IC)

* A winter's wolf, white as snow, can be seen at the gates of Candlekeep, the hunting grounds of the dwarven slayers, and within the confines of Doron Amar. It carries a parchment with official seal.*

To whom it may concern,

The time for action is now, our peoples are under direct threat from the denizens of the Dark. A meeting to be held within Doron Amar, on the fourth moon, will discuss alarms to be placed upon the passage under Durlag's tower.

The time for talk is over, Lady Laitae Lafreth is prepared to give us the chance to thwart the raids on our lands and we must act now! Dwarven stronghold's have fallen, Elven Priestess have been mutilated, Guide's of Candlekeep targeted, and we do nothing!!

Those brave, those strong of heart and of will, I pledge my service to you and all those you would call brother if you might stand with us now in this hour of darkness! Stand with us, in the light and we will strike a mortal blow against the Tryanny of the Dhaerow and Duergar. Stand with us for peace, or lay down to their horror, it is your choice.....

Laitae receives the letter from a guard, reads it and nods to herself. She then proceeds to put it on the table in the Avowed's meeting room.

*reads the letter and rolls her eyes* Course now they want me around, I'm only good enough when things go bad. *snorts and tosses the letter into the fire*

Reading the letter Mealir can't help but smile a bit at the tragic tone. A moment after he begins to write an answer stating that he will be there.

"Wolf?" Starkad snorts as he says the word aloud. What sort of honourable man calls himself a beast? He mumbles to himself;

"Tree-huggers, never clear, never solid in word or action. Are they calling forth volunteers for a meeting about a watch, or an actual expedition?" He pauses to think over it.

"An expedition is likely ta be da end for em', if they come across da Duergar army. What company ta have in death."

"Na matter. That may just turn out ta be...perfect".

Starkad crumbles the paper and throws across his shoulder. Seems a call for revenge driven Slayers is in order.

How large of an army is he planning on taking into the halls to accomplish this?

What hope of success do you believe lays in the plan of placing wards in the Tower? In this field, I leave it up to you as I know little about the arcane arts. I will have Saline ensure the Mathora is ready to assist as guides and to guard them while the wards are being laid. While I would prefer to just pull the tunnels down on thier heads, they would just find a diffrent route to the surface that we would have to search out eventually. Perhaps this will be the edge we need if they decide to come at us en masse in the future.

Having not seen Laisren’s writing before, thoughts begins to swirl in Saline's mind…

“…though, any opportunity to kill the darkones is something I will not pass up.” Making note of the position of the moon she beings to prepare for the days to come.

Teo notices the parchment on the table in the Avowed Meeting Room. "Hmm, we are not a security detail, how can we support such a venture? Wards of of little use if they want to rise to the surface. Another distraction."Scribbles on the parchment, "Wasted effort without occupying the tower itself."

"Well if you ignore the limited range and duration of any wards placed the biggest concern would be the mages of the underdark simply detecting and dispelling them or even worse tracking the magic back to its source. "

The priestess reads the letter, glancing at the moon elf in reverie at her side, lying on the bed of their house in Doron.

"So...it is time. Good."

Her gaze turned to the rooftop, where she had a window built, so that she could gaze upon the sky.

Hoihe reads the letter, wondering wether he should take part or not, for he hasn't recovered all his Magic Circles still. But, if he beleives it is stable, then he will head there, even if to learn from watching Laitae cast the wards.
