I have been trying to level in Underdark, but finding quests suited for my level is quite hard. And its hard to find out the level of a quest before it's "too late".
Any chance someone who is an experienced UD player can perhaps make a list of the quest of where to find them and what level i should be before attempting them?
Would help me lots, since being UD is hard enough as it is with few players down there and therefore little aid to get.
There are only a handful of Underdark quests, all of which are repeatable once every seven days or so.
Peaceful quests
Fetch 5 ore samples for a Duergar merchant in the Dark Weavings Bazaar.
Location - The Darkspires.
Reward - 300 XP
Fetch 5 weapons for another Duergar merchant in the Dark Weavings Bazaar.
Location - The Darkspires
Reward - 300 XP
Low combat difficulty quests
Kill spore beetles for the wizard Zarmoon standing outside the Goura's Wings.
Location - Mushroom grove near Varalla's Passage
Reward - 25 gold per pincer.
Deal with escaped slaves for the guards in Varalla's Passage at the gateway to the city.
1st part) Kill 10 escaped slaves (only kobolds and goblins count, for some discriminatory reason bugbears are excluded).
2nd part) Kill an escaped slave leader (always a goblin readily identified as a leader).
Location - Slave tunnels near Varalla's Passage
Reward - 500 XP for part 1, 300 XP for part 2 (please note that both parts can be done at the same time)
Gather 13 Mushrooms for the wizard in the School of Mages
Location - Mushroom patches in the goblin tunnels
Reward - 700 XP
Medium combat difficulty quests
Recover the svirfneblin's precious plate (the rich little twit is relaxing in kitchen of the Gloura's Wings tavern).
Location - Northwestern corner of the basilisk cavern.
Reward - 750 XP
Bring back a basilisk egg for the demanding wizard (the mad teleporter is standing in front of the Gloura's Wings)
Location - Center of the basilisk cavern.
Reward - 2000 XP
Mixed combat difficulty quests
Bring back 8 corpses for the female necromancer (Vaszyne) standing next to a pile of skuls outside the Gloura's Wings.
Locations -
1) Tunnel opening from Varalla's Passage
2) Mushroom grove
3) Kobold stronghold
4) Troglodyte tunnels
5) Basilisk cavern
6) Slime cavern
7) Mist Lake
8) Drider cavern
Reward - 50 XP per body (can only carry one corpse at a time).
Two new quests have been recently added, both of which require fair combat ability if the aggressive option is chosen.
Fetch a stolen idol for a priestess of Lolth (Yath'abban) who can be found at the temple of Lolth either at the bottom of the ramp or in front of an altar.
Location - The thief took refuge on a platform near the entrance to the Eastern Drider tunnels.
Reward - 1000 XP (potentially 1100 XP with a high enough social skill).
Fetch a tome for the necromancer (Valshar) standing in an alcove at the rear of the main chamber of the School of Necromancy.
Location - A fancy coffin on the bottom level of the crypt opening from the tunnels immediately west of Varalla's Passage.
Reward - 1000 XP (potentially 1100 XP with a high enough social skill).

I know not what life is, nor death.
Year in year out-all but a dream.
Both Heaven and Hell are left behind;
I stand in the moonlit dawn,
Free from clouds of attachment.

Due the the devastation of Varalla's Passage, the wizard who initiates the spore beetle quest now stands in the Dark Weavings Baazar next to his colleague who seeks a basilisk egg.
In addition, the necromancer seeking corpses to experiment on now stands near the entrance to the Gloura's Wings.

Small update for the slave hunting quest: the two segments can no longer be completed at the same time. Completing the first phase and returning to the guard allows you to progress to the second phase, otherwise you won't get any credit for killing leaders (I tried).
You can, in fact, do them together. I just tested this yesterday.
However, slave leader spawns are unpredictable, so you might have to tarry in the area for a while until one appears.

I have never been able to get both, but I only have female characters. I've tested it on Genasi, Grey Orcs, Duergar, Drow, and Half Drow, but they were all female chars. That leaves gender as the only logical reason why
For life to be worth living, afterlife must retain individuality, personal identity and memories without fail - https://www.sageadvice.eu/do-elves-reta ... afterlife/
A character belongs only to their player, and only them. And only the player may decide what happens.

The character I tested the quest with is female. It simply takes patience. Since he spawns are random (at least during the first part of the quest) you may run into several slave leaders per x amount of time or none at all.

Perhaps some clarification is in order. Some people can not take both parts of the quest, no matter what character they are on. Spawns have nothing to do with it. The NPC refuses to give the quest for killing the leader to the affected players until they turn in the first portion.
