Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
Varsharn Marnimen steps in front of the gate to the chapter house reciting something softly to himself. He hesitates a moment and stares blankly into space. He breaks the silence by saying "Q, yes that is it. Q". He resumes reciting his song "RSTUVWXY and Z". Noticing the odd look the guardsman are giving him, he smiles a bit to himself . "You gentleman going to let me in, or just stand there looking at me". A barb is offered in return, polite laughter entails, Varsharn enters and continues to recite his ABC's to himself.

Letter from the Order of the Ruby Rose
A young cabin boy, apparently coming straight from Baldur's Gate's docks, approaches the Order of the Radiant Heart. He hands a letter to one of the guards, which bears the official seal of the Order of the Ruby Rose from Waterdeep. Then he says: “This letter is for the Pre..., Prelatis. You know, the bosses here. It's important!” Then he runs off.
Content of the letter:
“Dear Most Reverend and Right Honourable Prelates of the Order of the Radiant Heart,
We pray we find you well at the opening of this letter.
Over the past decades we followed the strain of your most honourable Chapter of the Order of the Radiant Heart to secure justice and law in Baldur's Gate. It came to our attention, that you are most exemplary to every man of honour and duty.
We regret to admit, that we need to ask the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Prelates of the Order of the Radiant Heart to grant us a favour in a most delicate affair. This issue concerns Arwyroe Melten, a young man of the faith and promising aspirant to join our order.
Sir Melten came to know about two influential merchants in our city of Waterdeep, who were going to marry their children against her will. As a man of faith Sir Melten did not hesitate to speak out loudly against this unrighteous arrangement.
This was by no means a wrong decision, but it has caused a lot of trouble to our order and to Sir Melten himself. The accused merchants are men of great power and use their influence to prevent Sir Melten from joining our ranks. Many sponsors of our order are unsure how to react because of this unfortunate occurrence, so the most important source of earnings of our order is in danger.
We came to the conclusion, that sending Sir Melten away from Waterdeep is the best we can do under this circumstances. The incident caused already too much trouble and it distracts everyone involved from more important matters. The choice fell on the city of Baldur's Gate, because the mentioned merchant has no allies there. Furthermore Sir Melten has relatives in this very city.
So we ask the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Prelates of the Order of the Radiant Heart to take Sir Melten into their ranks. He is very young, but he has proven his faith and his duty to justice and honour more than once. Sir Melten is very capable of wielding sword and lance and Sune already speaks directly to him by granting him divine powers. He will put his abilities to great use in the most honourable Order of the Radiant Heart. We pray we ask not to much of the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Prelates of the Order of the Radiant Heart and we will accept your decision with great respect.
May the Lady of Love watch over you.
In the name of the Order of the Ruby Rose we are yours sincerely,
The High Council of the Order of the Ruby Rose in Waterdeep”

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
The letter is answered to the High Council of the The Order of the Ruby Rose in Waterdeep. It takes few days to reach the council and content is the fallowing.
“Esteemed and respected Knights of the High Council of the Order of the Roby Rose:
We shall welcome your paladin within our ranks we great joy. The path of good is always hard to trail and he shall be guided trough it within our ranks. I do understand that it is not only ours but also his desire to join The Order of The Radiant Heart and therefore he is free is his heart to take our oaths and sworn his sword to our cause.
Know that he knights of this Chapter will struggle to make this young paladin an example that even the Lady Firehair shall be proud.
Best Regards
Thiago, Prelate of the Order of the Radiant Heart, Buldur’s Gate Chapeter”

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
The prelate of the Order of the Radiant Heart writes a public note. Frederic and Toby, two boys who work for the Order, place it on the bulletin board near the Elf Song Tavern and the Friendly Arms Inn. It reads:
“For the Glory of Helm, the Vigilant One, and Torm Loyal Fury, let every one know that Arwyroe Meten, paladin of Sune, the Lady Firehair, was initiated in the Order of the Radiant Heart.
May the heralds spread this news and may the Gods Bless the new initiated.”
The announcement is signed by Thiago, a letter is also sent to the High Halls of Justice in Amn to inform about the new Radiant Heart Member.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
Arwyroe Melten, the new initiate, was assigned with the duty to patrol the graveyard. He often comes back with bruises, but he has never any serious injuries. In his free time he often goes exploring the area around the Gate. In the morning he is in the bathroom for hours and after he leaves, the hole room smells strongly of perfume.
One day he brings a you halfling woman with him, when returning from his patrols at the graveyard. Her name is Remungra. Arwyroe brings her to the prelate and suggest to give her shelter. He found her at the graveyard, she was apparently living there.
Arwyroe reports she is quite good with a sling and helped him to fight the undead. He also says that she does strange things like slaying undead and planting flowers on them, but he thinks she is just strange because she has no one who cares about her. She seems to have no coin and no home except the graveyard.
She also has a strange puppet made of flesh and bone she calls Sally. Remungra seems to think Sally is a real person.
((This really happened IG, the name of the player is Eclypticon, he is also active at the forums here. We came to the conclusion to rp everything after bringing his char to the order in the forum, because you guys were not online at the time. I think it is a great opportunity for rp. Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
Thiago, the Prelate, listens intently to the odd story about the Halfling.
“And what kind of skills does his Halfling show? Is she any kind of holy warrior?” – he asks.
“It is part of our duties do most good trough less harm. And showing you mercy and charity towards this Halfling makes me pleased, but I believe that her place should be among her kin, in their village near Beregost. What do you think?”

The young paladin looks shorttaken: "You are right, Sir Thiago. When I met her I just had to do something. Noone should live at a graveyard. It is dangerous with all those undead around. I guess it would be for the best if I bring her to the halfling village then."

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
Good and Noble Sirs,
It is with some distress I pen this letter. Several companions and I were trying to deal with the gnoll threat on local merchants, however we were overpowered in a great ambush and taken prisoner. By resourcefulness I must credit to my companions we were able to escape in a weakened state only to find, pardon my phrase, that all hell had broken loose in the gnolls' tunnels.
I can scarce describe how painful it was to see what has befallen so many innocent beings at the hands of these gnoll creatures but it would seem the gnolls had bigger ideas. They had been summoning or enticing Efreeti into their control and then by some method or another keeping them locked away. - These had escaped and were killing everything in their path - gnoll or otherwise.
I did what I could to keep my companions safe and see them out, but again I must give credit to them and their strength. Without it we would have been lost.
I know not if we purged the horde of Efreeti, but I know a good two or three dozen fell as we made our escape.
My companions and I were substantially weakened by all the fire, smoke and battle. I am mixing a vapor to help sooth the lungs but if you happen to know of a better recipe for such I would be most grateful. Likewise if one of your fine contingents sees fit to patrol these tunnels to be certain no more substantial threat remains I would sleep more at ease.
I would be quite happy to help show where and what was seen, but I have been made painfully aware I am yet still a novice and quite in need of companions.
Your humble servant,
James White the Second
PS: Enclosed is a fire opal, something I found by sheer accident while in the tunnels. I think it should go towards helping the cause.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
After paceing up and down the path in front of the Orders chapter house for what seems like hours Auron finally gets the courage to walk up to the guards out front. Hoping it is not a sign of hubris he hands the guards a letter and says "Please give this to the Prelate if I have not over stepped my boundaries"
The letter reads
It has always been my dream to one day become a Knight in the Order of the Radiant Heart. When I was coming of age in the city of Tantras at the local temple I had read often of the exploits and kindness the order has shown to those in need. So when I was given the oppurturnity I traveled to the Sword Coast arriving with little more than my faith in Torm and my longing to be help those around me and wanting to be accepted in the order. I come from nothing I have no title my parents were both farmers outside the city. They gave me to the temple when I started showing gifts they could not understand. Ever since then my life has been devoted to Torm. Whether it be as a holy warrior to his cause, helping those in need or coming to understand the strange and wonderful gifts and blessings he has blessed me with. Since I come from meager background all I ask is a chance to serve if there is any knight who would accept me as a squire or shield bearer I would owe him more than can ever be repaid in my small lifetime. But I would try everyday to do so. Even if I am not accepted I would like to be able to tithe to the order to help in its expenses especially the orphanage which is a great undertaking.

Re: Order of the Radiant Heart Role-Play
The Radiant Heart Guard takes the letter and looks it carefully; he simply nods to Auron calls another guard to hand it to the Prelate. These are troubled times in Baldur’s Gate and the watchers of the Chapterhouse wont leave their post in any case.
After reading the letter, Thiago, the elder paladin in the Order writes the fallowing answer.
“Dear servant of the Loyal Fury
If your heart seeks a place among the Knights of Order of the Radiant Heart, I shall welcome you with joy if you can prove your faith and blessing from Torm.
Know that our Order is not only known trough the charity practiced, but also for being a terrible foe of all evil. Therefore, your sword will be required as much as your charity. You will need to serve others, the Order and your God with strength, tenacity, wisdom, goodwill and heart. This is a hard, but rewarding path to trail.
Knowing that, if you do have the courage and discipline to join the Order of the Radiant Heart, look for me or one of my Knights. I assure you that there will be better way to understand your gifts from Torm.
The courage of one may change the destiny of many.
