Patrol Log 134556


Friendly Arm Inn- I walked up to the Firepit near the Friendly Arm Inn to find men shouting about undead Paladins. I saw Sir Uriel there his face looking upset and I asked what was going on. Apparently one of the men a Peter said he used to date our commander. Now this was told to me later so at this moment I was not aware that Peter was a liar. But since I did not know this information I was told by Peter that Sir Uriel had threatened them and that he was also talking about undead Paladins. Mr. Mookie took offense to Sir Uriel saying he was lieing about what he had said. Sir Uriel swore he said no such things and that is enough for me. I believe Mr. Mookie, this Peter and their friend were mistaken. But again I did not know Peter had lied before I walked up. Almost the entire time at the Firepit it continued to rain. Sometimes I wonder if we will all be up to our necks in water as it had rained almost all day.

We met Mr. Celduil and I spoke to him about getting into contact with his order and seeing if they could help move the trees in the proposed site of the Order’s Keep. Also I introduced him to Master Tyr who was very happy to learn of the grove. Sir Uriel did mention dwarves near his homeland that could help with the keep. I told him that he should speak with Lady Elvina for she would be extremely happy. After all of this we said our fairwells to Councilor Rhys, The Saint, Julindra and others and we headed off a way to began talking about what had happened.

I was approached by someone who I cannot describe nor say due to giving my word. Information was passed that some bandits had taken the boats from the local fishermen and set up a camp in the northwestern Cloakwood. At once I gathered Sir Uriel and we headed there.

Cloakwood- We met an initiate of the Radiant Heart, Auron. He asked if on such a task if he could join us. I told him that the person who told me of the bandits told me to take only those I could trust. I told him since he was a Paladin and an initiate of the Radiant Heart that, that was all I needed to know to trust him. So we headed deeper into the wood and it was not long until a horde of bandits attacked us. We all fought bravely and soon Demons began to attack. We had wondered how a group of bandits has such good gear and it appeared we had our answer. We fought demon after demon until a Balor came. We faught and faught and it seemed the darkness came into day as we faught until the Balor was driven off. Unfortunately we could not send it back to its native plane. We looks around the area and Mr. Celduil arrived. We all spoke of informing our respective Orders of this. The Balor is still out there… somewhere..

I headed back in the rain after we all parted ways and informed the farmers of their boats and helped so that they could retrieve them. Hopefully tonight has helped keep the bandit issues down in the region.

A white wolf, notably Celduil's animal companion, approaches Haeman while he is out on patrols. This is no ordinary wolf it seems, as it has a note in its mouth, trying carfully not to drool all over it. When it is certain Haeman is not about to cleave it in two, it approaches him and drops the letter at his feet. The wolf then sits, eyeing the cleric with ears its pricked, waiting for the Morninglord to open it.

When returning to the FAI last night to speak to the merchant I met up with Counsilor Rhys, Catam and Sir Arkaine briefly. Rhys informed me that the problem with the Black Orc Clan has been resolved peacefully and that Miss Silas has been returned safely. He said this peaceful solution was reached to avoid more bloodshed, because in the past they went to war with this same clan and it wiped out Doron Amar completely. He said this began over an elf attacking the clan and breaking the peaceful truce they had since the last war with them. They are now looking into the reason as to why the wildlife is moving south. I have offered our assistance to Doron Amar should they need help in the future and also offered to speak of an alliance should they desire one if even simply militarily.

To the Elders of Clan Soulaxe,

Greetings to you all. It was a great honor and pleasure to see all of you again during my visit to Sundabar and Citadel Adbar. I thank you all very kindly again for watching over my dearest daughter and my beloved grandson while I follow the path of my calling. For generations your clan and my bloodline have been bonded through he mutual ideals and safety of those in the lands and fighting the course of evil which has rooted itself in that which we call home. My grandfather often spoke dearly of his days travelling with the noble dwarves of clan Soulaxe to do battle against the agents of darkness who distorted the land and those who lay within it. Myself I was honored to travel extensively beside Morgal and Orak when I was still training under my Uncle Gabriel Honorblade. Morgal himself was there that dreaded night when the Banites came and sacrificed my dearest wife. If it was not for Morgal dragging my nearly dying body out of the temple I would have died that night with my wife and my uncle Gabriel.

It is the aid of my most trusted ally which I must call upon again. We spoke at length during that time of the Order of the Silver Rose and our wishes to build a keep in the lands of Baldur's Gate. There are many fine stonemasons and crafters amongst your clan and this day I am seeking your aid in the construction of our Keep. You would do us great honor if you are able to aid us in our endevor. I understand that the journey from the Silver Marches is quite a travel and if you are able to aid us I will support you in your journey in any way that I am able.

He then slowly stands and walks out of the Temple of Tyr. He strides casually but deliberately, totally relaxed, towards the Docks district. Upon reaching the Docks District he enters the merchant league , where he hands delivers the letter addressed to Barbryn Glori *

Most honorable Barbryn Glori,

Allow me to reintroduce myself, as I didnt speak much at our last meeting. I am Seth Siger, Knight General of the Silver Rose. I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for your guidance in the steps we are needin to take in the building of our Keep. I appreciate your wisdom in these matters. I am new to building of a keep, so any guidance is deeply appreciated.

I did have several thoughts, as it is the duty of each and every member of our order to help and protect the citizens of Baulders Gate and its surrounding lands. I have found that many of the citizens are without means of income. In other words they are without work to support their families with. To this end, I would like to suggest that we hire as many as possible to help the dwarven with the building of our keep. To give them work as would be suitable for each individuals set of skills, or lack there of, which ever the case may be.

I believe this will both benefit you, and help the Silver Rose help those who would ask for our help. The needs of the people are of great concern to us. This will also help reduce banditry on the roads , as people will be gainfully employed and will not need to resort to such means. And we both know reduced banditry also means increase in profits for you. Not only with the building of our keep but in your own endeavors as well.

I would like to send several that are without work to be considered by you at your own descretion, for employment. And who knows , you may find some of these souls are invaluable, hard workers, and decide to keep them on, long after our keep is finished.

Be advised, take great caution when approached by any member of a dragon clan. DO NOT ATTACK, but treat them with great caution, and show respect where it is due. Most you will not even know, who are of Dragon blood. which makes this difficult. But those who wear red much as the Red Wizards of Thay do, could be of the Red dragon blood. Seth then wads the paper up and throws it away. And begins to write a report to the Senior staff of the Silver Rose, For the Senior Knights eyes only. As what he writes is much too important and many decisions will have to be made in the future*

In a few days time caravans will be heading to their destinations with relief effort items. Mr. White has called for guards to protect the wagons. I would like us to protect the people who volunteer for this guard duty along with the wagon drivers. The items will help thousands but more importantly are the people. Let's do our duty and protect them as they get these wagons to their destination.
