Re: Enclave of Thay RP
As the night folds upon the land, clouds consume the moonlight and soon pour down upon Baldur's Gate on this hallowed day of spirits.
Lightening flashes, giving moments of sight where there is no torch to light, arcs of it come down upon the golems and into the metal rod atop the tower. A blue hue is seen from the upper most windows, pulsing like a vein of life.
The church bells strike the hour, midnight.
By the morning, the golems are gone.

A package arrives via local courier to the Thayan tower. It is roughly the length and width of a tea tray, by hand's length tall. It is wrapped in light-colored broadcloth and tied with twine. There is a note written on parchment tucked between the twine and the package, bearing a red wax seal. The note is addressed to Dimitri Val-Naar.

What once was the Weavemaster's tower in Balder's Gate has been completely renovated to suit the style of its current occupying faction: the Thayan Enclave. A temporary sign outside reads:
Coming soon; Quality Magical Equipment at Modest Prices! Speak to a representative of YOUR local Thayan Enclave for details!
Thork Kurz FIGHT!

A cloaked figure glowers as the sign beneath cover of nightfall, keeping on the lookout for inevitable shipment of slave labor for the new endeavor.

Re: Enclave of Thay RP
Red Wizards can be seen scurrying around the Enclave inspecting it for structural and magical weaknesses. The interior of the Enclave is filled with bustling activity as news of Amn's victories in battle spreads to Baldur's Gate. Paperwork is shuffled about and goods are staged to be released should they be required.
Knight Commander Atreuss and Knight Imperax depart for a first-hand survey of the battle odds. After seeking to speak with the Flaming Fist leadership, they are snubbed. The Flaming Fist Commanders are either too busy to have audience with the Knight Commander, or they simply don't wish to be bothered with his presence. Rude behavior doesn't change the facts. The odds seem desperately in the favor of Amnish victory. Adventurers are seen rushing about without any apparent form of leadership. It won't be lack of troop strength that will be the deciding factor in this battle, though that is a valid concern; it is the lack of unified effort. Small skirmishes and ambushes carried out from mercenaries and adventurers can't possibly match the might of a 10,000 man strong Amnish army and the Cowled Wizards.
Atreuss and Imperax engage a Cowled Wizard during their survey of the opposition. Knights aren't exactly the best scouts. Thankfully, time spent with the Red Wizards has taught them how to survive a magical onslaught and they manage to escape after severely injuring the wizard. The Knights return to their Red Wizard masters to make a report of their findings. It would seem a poor decision for Amn to attack a Thayan Enclave should the battle press all the way up to Baldur's Gate, but catapults do not descriminate.

A men knocked on the door of the enclave this morning, stated his name to the guard at the gates and demanded entry, and requested an audience with the Khazark.
As he clarifyed himself as a Red wizard of Thay, he's been allowed to enter, and wait to speak with the Khazark.

Re: Enclave of Thay RP
The Thayan Enclave planted in the heart of Baldur's Gate was seeing an unusual spike in activity in recent days to any who made it their business to keep an eye on those coming and going through the heavy door leading into the darkened stone tower. Additionally, any passing within close vicinity of its walls who carried an innate sensitivity to magic - or those who made a habit of casting Detect Magic at buildings they pass - would sense immense arcane energies radiating from somewhere deep inside the Enclave. The Red Wizards, it would seem, have been busy.

Re: Enclave of Thay RP
The Crimson Guard's Thayan Knights could be seen frantically entering and leaving the Enclave's grounds, carrying heavy bundles and parcels, greeting every passer-by with what ranged from cold, stolid stares to annoyed, angry glares from underneath their plated helmets' eye slits. The procedure was being overwatched with fervid zeal by the Khazrak, whose orders where conveyed to the Knights and initiates by their Commander in the form of barkings and thinly veiled insults whilst the Enclave's interior was abuzz with arcane chanting. Yes, barring the sudden influx of goods, this seemed a typical day for the Thayans.

Re: Enclave of Thay RP
Aside from the occasional barking of orders or the occasional "reprimand", the resident Knight Commander did best to uphold his reserve and stoic demeanor, overseeing the proceedings with an almost detached expression, broken only by a failure in operations by those under him in the form of a sneer, which was almost surely accompanied by certain choice Mulhorandi sayings, or the subtle, satisfied smirk which seemed to appear on his face.
"Finally", he uttered quietly, and unusually calmly. "...and not a moment too soon." A glance was cast in the direction of the Khazark, with a single nod of formality, and the Thayans were ushered into the inner chambers of their Enclave.
They were ready.

Re: Enclave of Thay RP
The Baldur's Gate Thayan Enclave was buzzing with activity once again. As the Red Wizards and other Enclave personnel were readying themselves for another open-air bazaar, a lone wizard and accompanying Thayan Knight were seen putting pamphlets up on notice boards from Baldur's Gate to Beregost. Any who stopped to look would read the following:
///Event is being held TODAY, June 30th, at 8 PM Central time (GMT -5:00). Will last until server resets, we run out of goods to sell, or we pass out from exhaustion at our keyboards
- Citizens of the Sword Coast,
It is with great pleasure that the Baldur's Gate Thayan Enclave announces its second open bazaar, located once again along the roadway just barely north of the Friendly Arm Inn. Come and browse our selection of arcane goods sold at generously low prices, or merely stay for conversation and entertainment. This week we will be offering:
- Crafted wands, made upon request. We will provide the necessary material components (including bone wands) and only ask a minor fee for our effort, in addition to covering the cost of the wand's creation itself. We will save you thousands of gold, compared to buying a bone wand yourself at Auction and then bribing some lesser wizard to craft it for you!
- Potions, again at discount price. We advise you arrive early, as these sell out quite quickly.
- Scrolls, scribed upon request. Come and access the heavy arcane spell tomes of the Red Wizards, arcanists unequaled in their mastery of the Weave! A small taste of their power, or a much-needed scroll to close a gap in your own spellbook, can be yours - again, for a minor fee. Each scroll will be negotiated on an individual basis, and we reserve the right to refuse certain requests if given reason to suspect it will be used to violate local law.
We hope to see you there, and bid you a pleasant day.
Best regards,
The Baldur's Gate Thayan Enclave
