*Haeman writes a letter to The Saint and Sir Thiago*
M'lady and Sir,
We have notices sister juna is not at the sanctuary. I hope she is well. We have been patrolling as asked and her absence has been noticed. I hope everything is well and any word as to sister Juna's were about would be greatly appreciated. I told my knights I would write you to inform you of Sister Juna's absense as we were all worried and it is worrysome with her absense. Lady Angelina was extremely worried so I told her I would write the both of you as soon as possible.
Respectfully,
Morninglord Haeman

*Uriel stops by the Temple of Tyr and writes some notes into the patrol log*
A few days ago while I was in Baldur's Gate I meet up with Sir Seth and Squire Cyrus. We were then greeted by a hin named Grim. Grim is curious of the Order but is unable to read the Code of Conduct. I then tasked Squire Cyrus to read the Code of Conduct to Grim. Cyrus did so and goes beyond, offering to help Grim read. I am quite well pleased with this and have asked Cyrus to keep me informed of their progress.
We were then met by Sir Haeman and Lady Angelina. They mention that one of the sisters was missing in the Temple of Ilmater. This must have been a recent development as the previous day all were accounted for. Sir Haeman and Lady Angelina are looking into the matter further.
After reading a post about Bhaalists in the bandit cave past the bridge, accompanied by Sir Haeman and Lady Angelina, we set out to investigate the issue. Upon the way we are greeted by Squire Mara and she accompanies us. Sir Haeman guards the enterence while Lady Angelina, Squire Cyrus, Squire Mara and myself enter. We did not find anything unusual within the cave. It is of note that the two squires performed wonderfully, communicating quite well with us in the cave as we progressed through the cavern.
*Uriel signs and dates the Entry*

Re: The Order of the Silver Rose rp
Shialla visits the temple of Ilmater, but seeing none of the people she hoped to find, she leaves a letter with one of the clerics there. Three names are written on it, Lady Elvina, Sir Haeman, and Uriel Honorblade. She instructs the cleric to hand it to any of the three.
The letter reads: I wish to see any of you urgently. There is a matter which we should discuss, that bears heavily on the honor of the Order of the Silver Rose. Yours in truth, Shialla Shi'arroh
Next she travels to 42 Cobbleway and slides another letter under the door. This one is addressed to Saer James White, the organizer of the recent caravan escorts to Waterdeep.
The letter reads: Greetings Saer White. Have you been to the Palace in recent days? I have heard some highly disturbing things from minor officials there regarding the recent escort enterprise. May I suggest you make independent inquiries, speak with your own contacts, and perhaps request a meeting with Duke Entar if you can, before you are summoned. Yours in good faith, Shialla Shi'arroh

Re: The Order of the Silver Rose rp
To the Order of the Silver Rose,
I have received word that you would like to speak with me about the contents of the caravan. I would be happy to discuss this in private. I tried to speak with Sir Haeman in public but despite my insisting the explanation was long he insisted on accusing me after every one of my sentences instead of letting me complete my explanation. It caused quite a frakas and was rather frustrating.
As for your concern about the textiles in the wagon, what exactly did you expect on the export? The import was where the food and iron-ore and such were to come in. I'm not exactly sure what you were expecting but those were the wagons and wagon-loads the merchants were willing to risk against the heavily bandit-infested roads. It took weeks of effort to convince any merchant to risk their precious little cargo to such a dangerous route.
As I have always explained the City Relief Effort is about economic recovery. Immediate food relief and such is limited because that is something the temple of Ilmater is already working on. The City Relief Effort is a long-term project with long-term goals and results. Our city has been strangled by our merchants being unable to sell their goods outside the city and not having the needed imported raw materials and such to make other goods.
I will be happy to explain more in a NON-hostile setting where I am not being set up to look like a damned thief. I have bled and sweat and lost nights of sleep for months over this. I do not deserve to be persecuted for these efforts. The effort's projects have always been absolutely transparent. Re-read the posters if you forget where I said that the caravans are meant to open up trade and bring IN food and OTHER much needed supplies. That takes money. Money made by selling exported goods like textiles.
Also, I was rather dismayed to learn that your men decided to 'investigate' the wagons. This unauthorized snooping has angered the merchant league. They had come to me saying some of my volunteers had been tampering with the goods and I told them that was ridiculous that none of the volunteers would be so callous. Apparently I was wrong. I will speak more of this in private as I attempted to do with sir Haeman but he refused.
There are also some nefarious developments you should know about since, because you snooped, you might actually know what happened and be able to help fill in the missing pieces.
In the meantime I am trying not to cause a panic and need your help in preventing that.
Your humble servant,
James White the Second

To all who have volunteered to come to the defense of trade caravans as we begin to push open the trade of Balder's Gate.
The Time Has Come.
Rally, my friends. Let us meet just outside of Balder's gate with the great convoy we will protect. Our mission is to safeguard the wagons and their contents out for trade and again back without losing cargo or lives.
I will not lie. This will be a very dangerous mission. Expect many bandits and assaults. As such we need adventurers, healers, wizards, fighters, scouts and everything in-between. Your unique talents could mean the difference between success or failure.
Please sign below this poster if you would like to be included in the convoy escort on Sunday, June 24. For security purposes our destination will not be divulged until after we are underway.

*Haeman reads the letter and shakes his head at the very well worded untruths or missunderstanding about the conversation that took place as Mr. White had begun yelling at them for asking polite questions. He reads the paper then remembers what was said in person and notices the differences. He nods to himself at the outstanding legal work that was done, a paper to prove one thing and words which are unprovable. He then takes the paper and the new information he has just recieved about the wagons and their contents then heads off to speak with the Commander.*

She takes time to pen a quick reply and have it sent to the temple of Tyr before she makes her way to the Orphanage.
Ms. Northstar:
I do apologize for any undue concern that you have endured recently. Thank you most sincerely for both the sentiment and the care offered in seeking the well being of Ilmater's faithful.
Sister Juna is quite well. Her duties of late sometimes call for her to leave the temple and the Orphanage. She can often be found in the city, tending to her tasks.
I pray the gods smile on you, and keep you well within their benevolent grasp.
Mercy walk with you,

Dear Saint Merielle,
Thank you for putting our fears at ease. It is our duty and our honor to provide continued protection for those at the temple. You will be happy to know justice has been served to one Bhaalist whom attacked one of the Ilmatari the other day and is now in the hands of the Captain of the Fist, thanks to Sir Uriel, accompanied by Lady Svala, Lady Gina and Squire Cyrus.
Sincerely,
Lady Angelina Northstar

*After reading the nasty letter, posted for all of the OSR to read, Lady Elvina and many others of the Order of the Silver Rose, wait patiently just outside the Friendly Arm Inn for several hours for Mr. White's return. While waiting they discussed the situation finding out from other citizens the issues wtih the wagons had become public knowlege to all But the OSR. Lady Elvina and the others thinking heavily on this, then discussed the next course of actions to be taken among the Knights.*

Unable to find the other member of the Order Cyrus keeps his patrols to the main roads, stopping to talk to adventurers tomb raiding the ruins to see question if they have seen anything unusal or strange. Having them report they have only seen Kobolds, Cyrus continues to the inn, stopping by the constrction sight to see what is on the work log so he knows what has to be done next.
Overall, it was a quiet, uneventful evening.

Greetings Squire Cyrus,
I am well pleased with your progress thus far in your Squirehood and would like to encourage you to continue with such diligence in service. With such in mind I do have a task for you to encourage your understanding of our Code of Conduct if at this time you are ready to accept. Please write for me your understanding, interpretation and importance of Honor within the Code. By no means must it be a lengthy discourse. I am writing a similar discourse on selflessness and look forward to reading your report.

*Seeing the letter from Sir Uriel, Cyrus sits down in his room at Candlekeep and reviews the code. Setting it down, he sit in a meditative state on the floor. An unknown amount of time passes and Cyrus picks up his quill, and a piece of parchment and begins to write*
"Sir Uriel,
Here is what I have taken from the code about Honor:
Honor isn't something a knight says or something a knight does. Honor is at the very core of a knight's life. A knight does not only walk with honor, he lives honor. Every action, reaction or thought is guided by this. It is so engrained I their character that it would not occur to a knight to act otherwise.
He would no sooner, though action or inaction, allow harm to come to innocents, comrades or family than he would himself, unless in allowing harm to himself is in the course to protecting others even his enemies. His moral compass guides him instinctually in the honorable course of action in all interactions.
Honor is a word others use, honor isn't a word to a knight - it is his life. Without honor, a knight is not a knight, just a man or woman in a suit of armor
Cyrus Stonehold
Squire - Order of the Silver Rose"
