Finally, I came back to the server.

First of all, I entered Underdark. Great place. Even if it is in war mode, Sshamath is beautiful. I thank all designers who helped to make it such wonderful place.

I would like to extend my sincere (and very humble) gratitude to Grimnail, tooley1chris, Lampir, Demitrious Ducas, Considerate_, LeslieMS, Valefort, Whisper, Kage, CorruptedDisciple, gimchi, Paladin, b00seven, Deathgrowl and paw. What does this eclectic mix of players have in common, you might ask? They have all given up time that might otherwise be dedicated to playing their PCs in order to create and RP NPCs on the forum for me. Your stories thus far have blown me away and betrayed a flare for writing I could never have anticipated. One or two stories actually moved me to tears (like, for reals). You have also created a ton of context detail that is far more varied and creative than I could ever have done alone.

Almost 20 of your NPC creations have featured in my events so far, and I have already killed off three and maimed one. May there be many more casualties to come.

Please keep it up. I will notify you if something major happens to your characters (like if they are murdered...for example...).

+1

I really enjoyed these stories and I pray they might continue to some extent, if not with a new setting, with new characters.

Bravo :)

Yeah, big cheers to the players of these toons: Zyak Stongbox, Nersial, Dartyn Malacant, Weung Zhen Wei. You came with your RP and it made the Draconomicon Quest come alive.

Also, to Mordanus Ironfaar who insisted on joining, free of charge. I hope you satisfied your curiosity...and didn't lose too much blood....

As well as Grun, who was in the right place at the wrong time...or was it the wrong place at the right time?!?

And, of course, the leopard. *rarrrrrr!*

Let me just say, I am truly humbled by the friends I have made on this server. Today, after two weeks of planning a self made player event my internet went down. I would not begin to explain the slow creeping panic I began to feel as the event time began to creep near.

When I realized I was not going to make it, I sent a pm to my partner in BG crime, Nezzerscape. Basically I said, I have no idea how you can do this with no prior coordination but a lot of people were looking forward to it, good luck.

Then, after truly hoping to make this a player designed event with very little DM support, I get a PM from Darkshard telling me, don't worry I will set up some archery targets for you. I thanked him of course, but thought little of it with no hope this thing would come together.

Then, about 5 hours later my service comes back on and I am immediately greeted with a tell from Mrm3mentalist saying, "Get down here, Saline is getting overwhelmed and I'm drunk right now" (I love that guy)

So, I thought oh boy this is going to suck. Then I walk down from Gullykin toward a beautifully tented and decorated archery event with detailed lighting and statues. Nezzerscape's toon standing there giving orders to about 15 people and Mentalist's yelling out to my toon, "Glad you could make it to your own event, by the way the dwarves are here!"

Wow, I have to say it was really touching and I thank each and every person who partook! But, I have to give a extra special thank you to my friends Nezzerscape and Mentalist, I can't tell you enough how grateful I am to be able to RP with people I truly respect.

Finally, to Darkshard. This guy gives us his everything and draws from us all the best qualities that we aspire to here on this server. All of the DM's whether you agree with their styles or decisions give us a part of their lives so we might enjoy a world outside the harsh reality we deal with day to day. However, Darkshard inparticular is one whom shows a passion and empathy for us all that is truly amazing.

My hats off to you Sir, you will always have a fan in me.

Thank you to all for tonight,

Mav

Ps
If this means I get

I absolutely have to say thank you to everyone who was involved in the Draconomicon Quest. It was the most fun I've had since my return! Even the orc's brief appearance was nicely handled and added some flare.

Thanks to you three who picked Weung up in the gnoll caves today as well. It's nice to find people who take their time to rp through a dungeon or cave.
