Arionna Lo'ran

Unread post by Care »

A few weeks after her arrival, she found her Brother Arjay. The older one had stayed with their mother and it was him who had told her where to find Arjay.

After finding her brother, she met with other elves living near the human lands. The village was called Doron Amar and she was gladly accepted there. For the first time since her childhood, since ever, she trully felt at home. Like she had found her place.

She also met Tyressen, a grumpy, dark and solitary elven swordmaster. Something in him called to her.

Week passed and she was accepted into the Mathora of Doron Amar, by the same time, she had to choosed between two swordmaster. She choosed Tyressen, the other one was greatly angered by it, but she had to follow her calling. Tyressen needed her help, she couldn't help the other one as he needed it.

As Arjay was learning his skills and also to know better one of his childhood love, who by a great and beautiful coincidence was also living in the elven settlement, Arionna was learning to fight alonside with tyressen. She was also getting to know him more, and she already cared more deeply for him every day.

As time passed she continued to train hard, she was there at almost every elven gattering, doing her best to be of help and to use her powers for the community. Tyressen was also slowly opening to his exhuberant and quite naive student. She thought him to have fun, to be a child again. They made waterfighting into the fountains of Candlekeep, she made snowfighting with him in Nashkel, and she kept teasing him. She was seeing with more accuracy every day, the flaws in the dark armor of Tyressen's souls. And what had to happen happenend. They both felt in love. At first, he was denying it to her, she had to force him into admiting his care and love for her. She didn't knew either what love was. She was never invited by elf to the festival or to share a night of love with them. She was completly naive in that as well. But she had help. Vanira and other elves made her see how deeply she cared for him and they got togheter.

By that time, they were almost indivisible, fighting alongside one an other. It's when she found out about Tyressen's curse. Then she decided she would dedicate all her free time to search for a way to cure him, and she found it. But it needed a miracle or a wish. Not something easily asked to someone. But the miracle came to her in the form of a dragon. As time passed, even while she was training so hard, she wasn't strong enought to cast herself the miracle, and no one could find enough strengh to cast the wish. And Tyressen didn't wish anyone to try. It was too dangerous. But the dragon came, the day just before the curse was to completly take Tyressen, he came to Doron Amar to speak with the elves. he had lived amongs them, unoticed, and was proud of them. They had gave him a house, and had showned him love, care for the community and much more. He was happy to give them back one wish each. Arionna didn't need anything for herself, and the community was well. The onlything that was really needed at that time was strong mathora to protect it. Tyressen didn'T wanted to be one because of his curse, of what it made him do at times. So she asked for his cure and the dragon accepted.

Arionna continued to train, to travel and protect the elven community. She also learned to befriend with humans and to respect much of them. Slowly bounding with the whole region. Vino, Juez, Thiago II, and others. Time was passing, her love for Tyressen was growing with her fighting skills he was teaching her.

She fighted a demon at his side, one that disguised himself as a doe to get to Doron Amar, but they banished him. She fought into the war, and she also was offered by Juez to join the Radiant Heart order. At first, she wasn't sure. It was a human order, and she had her oath to the elven community that was to always past first. But they told her it was not a problems... and then there was the troubles with the drows and man hunting elves. There were pirates as well. All sort of problems the elves couldn't solve by themselves. They needed allies. She spoke with the consilors and finaly convinced them to ask the help of the radiant heart. At the same time, the troubles with some ogres accured and she fought with the Order, realising she was enjoying having them at her side and that she was fighting well with them. She finaly got herself convinced and joined their ranks.

Soon after being initiated into the Radiat Heart order, Tyressen told her he had some troubles with the old order he was into as a young elf. It was a dark order, elven assasins convinced that they had to kill all the elves ennemeis, including those that would just snob elves. They were convinced they had a divine missions, but in fact, they where driven by hatred and darkness.

To wed Tyressen had to be relieved of his vow, but he also wished to help them all to get freed of their hatred as Doron Amar and Arionna freed him. So Ario decided to go with him. She couldn't leave him to go alone, and again, she felt the strange call in her heart that it was her place to go. So she went.

Nothing got has planned thought. As she came into the village, she was greated coldly. Every one knew after the first day that she was the one taking Tyressen away, the reason why he was resigning his vow. But she was a patient elf, and even more important, a charismatic one. She did nothing more then start to be part of their lives. She cooked with them, made the same chores, did all she could to help them. She cured the injured and slowly showed them her powers. Slightly, slowly, they started to inquire about her. Some started to bound with her and were ready to hear her out. To those she thought of Corellon's real dogma and way. They listened and slowly they came to understand and accept.

Others though, closed their heart and started to hate her. They accused her of trying to get them to betray their vows and to leave the elves unprotected. They accused her of being a demon in disguises and all sort of thing. Soon, the village became in sort of a civil war. People with her or against her. No one could stay neutral. Arionna was compeltly torn appart by this all over her and over Corellon. She tryed all she could to settle all this with peace, but the hatred was too deep into most heart, and violence so deeply into their habits.

One day, Tyressen came to her, saying they had to go. But she couldn't leave like that, not without trying one last time to convince the chief of those against her, his most strong ennemy, to settle that in peace and accept Corellon's real dogma. When she arrived at his house, she found him almost dead on the floor, a dagger in the throat. She cured him to full health, but only to get insulted and accused of using her foul magic on him. Then an idea came to her. She couldn't let them all like that, abandon those who believed in her. All in the village had one thing in common. They strongly believed that they didn't need magic because they were strong enough, because the stronger were those that had Corellon's favor. So she offered an ordeal that would settle it out. Would she loose, he would be welcome to kill her and resume his life as before and show to all those who believe in her that she was wrong. Would she won, he would accept Corellon's jugement and disband his order and give freedom to all his people. He accepted.

The ight was fierce and hard. Almost dead, Arionna gave the final blow to her ennemy, but he refused to surrender and challenged her to kill him. She refused, instead she spared his life once againt. Still, he refused to oblige his words, but the others that were following him, or her, didn't let him attack her again. He was forced to released all of them of their oath. Half of the village still wished to continue in their old way, but she was able to bring with her those who wished to live in peace for now on.

There was also the problem of Neverwinter having promise a lot of gold for Tyressen's life. Would anyone bring him into the city's jail. Seeing there an opportunity to end the elf chase on Ty's head, and to get rid once and for all of the elven assassins, she brought Tyressen's "brother" to Neverwinter, making them believe he was Tyressen. She also arranged things so that all the other who would not let go of their dark ways were also took by Neverwinters gards so they would all pay for their crimes and never had the chance to commit other. They had to pay for what they did, and she made sure they did.

The others, those that were "saved" she brought them to Evereska to start new lives. She left a report of what had been done, so they would be given a secound chance and if they wanted, could possibly be brought to Evermeet to find peace and learn some usefull way to live.

And there she is, back to Baldur's Gate. This adventure changed her. In the process she lost a lot of her naivety, understanding that sometimes, you can't always save people that doesn't want to be saved. That you can't help every one, and you have to live with that burden all you life after.

For the last weeks and even months, Ario can be seen getting more and more the temple. All her free time, even her rest time she pass them in prayer and thought. She gave over the time a sum of around 9,000 gold piece Corellon in encenses and other offerings.

The prayers she utters are done in the silence of her heart, but she seemed to put every will, faith and hope she had into them. Every time she's in the temple, she look most concern, hopefull and concentrate. Sometimes she also sings a bit.

If you pay attentions, here are a few of the songs she signs when she's not deeply in prayers.

(You're always there from Secret Garden)
When I'm less than I should be
And I just can't face the day
When darkness falls around me
And I just can't find my way

When my eyes don't clearly see
And I stumble through it all
You, I lean upon, you keep me strong
And you rise me when I fall

You are there when I most need you
You are there so constantly
You come shining through, you always do
You are always there for me

When life brings me to my knees
When my back's against the wall
You are standing there right with me
Just to keep me standing tall

Though a burden, I may be
You don't weary, you don't rest
You are reaching out to carry me
And I know I'm elven blessed

You are there when I most need you
You are there so constantly
You come shining through, you always do
You are always there for me

You are there when I most need you
You are there so constantly
You come shining through, you always do
You are always there for me

There when I most need you
There so constantly
You come shining through, you always do
You are always there for me

***

(You raise me up - Celtic Woman)
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up... To more than I can be.

The more the weeks passes, the more time she spend in the temple. Even when she is not there, she seems more grave, more strong willed in her training and in her Faith. As the times pass, she slowly changes until yesterday. That day, she purified herself completely, leaving all her belonging except simple vestments out of the temple. She passed long hours in prayer and when she emerges, she had changes. She accepted to sacrifice some of the magic and the powers she develop to become different and carry a even heavier burden. She will regain most of her power through times, but she permanently sacrificed some of her divine potential to try to become a beacon for her people, a hero they could rally to. She accepted the mantel of a Divine Champion of Corellon.

///The prayers are scripted as well, but I prefere it is not known by every one. If a DM is curious, or someone, perhaps he could send me a tell, or for player, ask me IC
