[Rumours Around Baldur's Gate]
A rags to riches tale ends tragically as word spreads of a man dressed in rags and smelling of the sewer was found dead after showing off and spending a large sum of gold around the merchants. No one's sure how this poor man gained such a large sum of gold or where the golds gone after the murder.

A werewolf attack occurred a few nights ago at the Friendly Arm Inn. Adventurers report hearing a howling, and encountering a werewolf on the roof. His victims were found in one of the rooms. A noble and a bodyguard, badly mutilated by the assault. The guards put the wolf down in the FAI courtyard, and burned the body.

Rumor spreads that an old man named Kel recently showed Dukes Belt, Liia, and Entar two stones with symbols of Talona on them. These were recently found near other temples and are thought to perhaps be a warning. The duke has ordered the Fist to investigate.
In the place of a Dark Lord you would have a Queen! Not dark but beautiful and terrible as the Morn! Treacherous as the Seas! Stronger than the foundations of the Earth! All shall love me and despair!

Word spreads of a miracle turned to tragedy as a poor man known to be severely ill seemed to be miraculously cured over night, only to be run down by a runaway horse a few hours later.

Sammson Hart seems to have gone missing, as a number of Fist guards have been asking for his location.

Re: DM Rumours of the Sword Coast
An odd sight is encountered along the North Eastern Trade road heading from Elturel to Baldurs Gate. A contingent of Flaming Fist Mercenaries - their tunics torn and tattered, their armor scuffed - march on Baldur's Gate. They are led by Dimitri Val Naar, a prominent Red Wizard from the Baldur's Gate Enclave and the Thayan Knight Tharxos Kyros.
As they approach checkpoints and patrols along the trade way nearing the gate, they are greeted with cheers and celebration, as various Flaming Fist mercenaries recognize their thought lost compatriots.
This fanfare continues through the streets of Baldur's Gate as the soldiers - led by the Red Wizard and his Knight - march through the city to the Flaming Fist Fort in the Docks District. For the next several weeks the mercenaries benefit from a boost to Moral.

[Rumours Around Candlekeep]
Guard Stanley is seen in the Candlekeep Inn off duty.
He's sitting alone with a stein in his hand contemplating his next move.
Few of his comrades have heard him talk about plans to become an adventurer for the sake of charming a female elf out of her boots.
Obsession is a dangerous thing.

And though I played the role,
I lost my soul, it's still within your heart.
It took a part of me, the heart of me..
To watch it fade away, It's over now..
Shades of blue and purple haunt me..

Re: DM Rumours of the Sword Coast
Several Flaming Fist mercenaries are seen approaching the campfire the Friendly Arm Inn Campfire to confront a masked man and a hooded elf rousing talk of sedition against the Duke's of Baldurs Gate. Those present may say that the Fist confronted the two quite forcefully, ending in an arrest of two subjects and a warning to the others gathered.
If encountered over the next several days, the men taken appear to have been 'worked-over' pretty good while they were in custody.

Director Hymm's advertising campaign for recent performances seems to have drawn the attentions of High Society in Baldur's Gate. The palace district was bustling with activity as nobles flocked to the Theater, showing off exotic wares and new hairdos. Nobles and foreign dignitaries were in attendance. A few flaming fist were sent to show a security presence given the large number of high profile figures in attendance.
During the Performance, several urchins, beggars, and less well-to-do citizens gathered outside the white mask courtyard. A few stared yelling occasional slurs at the few Fist Guards posted outside. Eventually a mob formed, and grew bold by their numbers. Guests inside could hear the ruckus inside, as well as the occasional bottle breaking on the Theater Doors.
The Fist guards entered the Theater and spoke to their commander, who had taken a position at the edge of the stage. High profile guests were ushered backstage. Eventually the Guards escorted the remaining nobles and adventurers outside. Several Knights of the Order of the Silver Rose were reported aiding the Flaming Fist in their attempts to maintain order.
Outside they were met by the mob, who pelted them with slurs, rocks, and rotten vegetables. Eventually an alchemists flask found its way onto the White Mask Lawn.
Marching could be heard coming up the street from the Docks, as a larger force was mobilized to restore the peace. The emboldened mob pelted the troops with stones and rotten fruits and vegetables. The Fist in tern descended upon the mob with clubs, beating the peasants mercilessly until the crowd dispersed. Several peasants were rounded up and thrown into the stockades. The nobles and adventurers were escorted further into the palace district and allowed to go about their ways.
The temple of Ilmater reported several injured being taken to the temple that night, some quite seriously. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

There have been a couple of attacks on the Temple of Tyr for unknown reasons and they've been handled without any casualties. It is rumoured the attackers were after a relic.

Recently when asked about the elf Celestia, the Flaming Fist answer "The status of the elf will soon be reviewed and if still deemed a danger to society she will be executed"

[Baldur's Gate]
A large group of farmers begin to work and build some large structures within the Farmlands around Baldur's Gate. They seem to be preparing for some sort of event or ceremony of some sort. Lumber, tables, tents, and kegs of wine and the like are slowly brought out, as symbols of Chauntea and other deities associated with farming are slowly erected and put forth.
It seems that some celebration is going to happen. Rumors state it involves the end of year harvest, although the turn outs in agriculture have been poor due to the recently solved drought problem. If one were to check back, perhaps they'd see the full event in process.

Re: DM Rumours of the Sword Coast
Similar whispers and accusations are heard among the circles merchants frequent and within the seedy taverns filled with ruffians and brigands along the northern trade roads. They speak of shadows stalking them visages glimpsed in the corners of their eyes as they tread down the tradeway to ply their respective trades. Most of these stories are dismissed as paranoia, what with all the troubles that have plagued the trade route of late.
Certainly the road is still riddled with banditry, but the increased Flaming Fist patrols bolstered by several knights of the realm have given sufficient confidence for caravans to brave the way.
Meanwhile, the bandits reassure one another that so long as they stay clear of the Fist patrols, they have little else to fear upon the open road. "If heavy footsteps and the clinging of chain links catch'ya, ye' deserved t' be cott!!!"
Voices are lowered over card games and ale steins as those along the trade road find respite in the swill of the understocked taverns of the northern tradeway. "Elves, I tell ye! Always in the corner of ye' eyes. Can never git a clear look at one. Can never get a good read on'em."
Laughter and spilled ale dismisses these tales. "deal anotha' card ye' skallywag!. An quit ate'n dem wild mushrooms on da road.... HAR HA HA HA HA HA HA."
However, a pause befalls those who set out into the wilderness or the roads along the northern trade way. "Oi' tell ya. Thar be elves in dem woods. Who knows what dem sneaky feyfolk buggers want."

Mothers put there children early to bed at night, as an increase in will-o-wisps is seen at night, the strange lights well known for beckoning those who follow to there doom. This comes after an attack near the Friendly Arms Inn by no small number of strange and maddening creatures, the learned know them as aberrations.
Worry that the madness is spreading is overheard as a elf skiping her way up and down the coast speaking of dark nonsense is seen.

Re: DM Rumours of the Sword Coast
A trial was held in the Temple of Tyr where two Humans were accused of Devilish Pactmaking. While the two were not found guilty of being pact-makers and sentenced to death by purifying fire, they were found guilty of cavorting with Devilish forces. The two were taken to the City Dungeons to serve a short penance and endure rituals of purification.
