Background:

Born in the year 852 DR, Anen was the son of an Elven soldier in Earlann. With an early training with the sword and the bow, Anen learned from his father what it meant to be a protector of the elven civilization and there will be times that all elves will need to work together. Anen listened closely and learned quickly, but at the age of 30 years when he was just a child, the mass summoning of the devils of Ascalhorn nearly ruined the city of Earlann, and Anen thought the words of his father. A year later after the conquest against the fiends, Anen received his first bow from his father. That was the last time he saw his father, as he died in the battle against the orcs, and subsequently the city fell.
In memory of his father, Anen fought in the battle against the orcs, not as a soldier but as a mere child. After the fall of Earlann, Anen lived in different Wood elven settlements in the High Forest, offering his skills to the local elven armies. Having lived through numerous battles, and having lost many friends, Anen left the High Forests in 1290 DR in order to get to know more civilizations, cultures, races, believes and find other elven settlements. So he wandered North to the Citadel Adbar where he only briefly stayed (a few mons only) due to increasing problems with the tolerance of the dwarfs against his living habits and finally a dispute about the trade with the caravans from the underdark. Since then he has been in the regions near Neverwinter, Waterdeep and has arrived in Baldur's Gate in 1348 DR.

Goals: Wandering the Forests and getting to know more elves and looking for elven settlements, keeping a balance in nature, increasing his skill with the bow and sword, perhaps one day establish or find a settlement/town where different elves live in one community together.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Even though he is a ranger, he still feels more like a soldier than a ranger due to his influential past. He feels that looking after elves is more his duty, than looking after nature.
