i am currently playing an evil hin, LE. i see the character as starting out LN, then turning evil due to an ufortunate event in his life.
let me know if this is something i can use in my character's background, or if it is just too much. i am open to playing this out IG; however, i am only able to get online or a few hours every couple of weeks.
the jist of the encounter would be, the hin was kidnapped, by orcs, while exploring an old tower on the southern edge of the woods of sharp teeth. the hin was placed in a large sack, and carried for what seemed like days.
the hin was shoved out of the sack, and into a tiny cage, in a dark, and smokey cavernous room. there were many vials, potions, and objects about the hin had never seen. there was a table of sorts, with straps, and dried blood.
the hin stayed like this for quite some time, not knowing his fate. there were other creatures in similar cages, but the hin was the only humnaoid, the rest were animals, or creatures that the hin had never seen before.
he had seen a very large, starnge looking orc coming, and going from the room, in the dim light, it was hard to see. there was a large pot of some sort used for cooking, and mixing ingredients. the orc came close, and opened the cage, just beside the hin, pulling out a shreeking dire rat, by the neck. the orc instantly broke the rats neck, and began preparing it on the table for some ritual of sorts. the large rat was cut open, and symbols were carved into its flesh with a sharp knife. the orc looked over the the hin, and seemed to smile.
...
i will go on, if wanted, i do not wish to bore too much. the hin is held for some time, and various experiments are performed on him. he is there long enough to get an understanding of the orc language(picked at creation), and learns about alchemy, lore, and gaining the favor of evil gods he does not understand. the hin has a few symbols carved into his flesh, and has been "anointed" with dark oils many times.
i see his escape occurring when a group of brave adventures storm the cave, and lay waste to the orcs inside, including the dark one. the hin does not group up with the adventures, but takes the time to gather supplies from the dark ones vast supplies, and hides, and sneaks his way out of the caves.
let me know if this is something i can RP with my guy, or if it is just too over the top. thanks!

Re: character ideas for my hin
I love how you gave the RP justification of his orc language and Warrior of Darkness levelssobebop wrote:he is there long enough to get an understanding of the orc language(picked at creation), and learns about alchemy, lore, and gaining the favor of evil gods he does not understand. the hin has a few symbols carved into his flesh, and has been "anointed" with dark oils many times.
I see no problem with this idea.
And though I played the role,
I lost my soul, it's still within your heart.
It took a part of me, the heart of me..
To watch it fade away, It's over now..
Shades of blue and purple haunt me..
