Rumours circulate through the city that organization known as the Balefully Maw has been told to have earned the disfavor of lolth. The rumour seems to originate from temple servants and priestessess, the name of High Priestess Lilith is mentioned among the sources to the claim.
Meanwhile the temple patrols into the tunnels seems reinforced looking more like warbands than scouting expeditions.
A cheerful side rumour is that the temple offer plak'la for the heads of disfavored rothe and males, living female disfavored is claimed to bring in up to 5.000 plak'la for the enterprising!

Re: Disfavor of Lolth
Two half-drunken merchants talking about the tension betwen the Lolthites and the Maw in the Bazaar are approached by a guard on patrol
"Well...as long as it's not within the City's perimeter, and I do not have to clean it ..."
he laughs evilly, walking away from the still bowing duo

Somebody told me I should do what they told me...
But there's a hole in that plan, and I'm tearing it down...

Sorn'vayas would chuckle at the rumors *lets see how this escalates*
He would then look for who to convince, that sacrificing him or herself to sorns deity would be a good idea.

*Word travels fast through dark alleys, from lips to ears and again, between a tankard of ale and a bargain in the bazaar. It flies on the wings of fear, concern, anticipation, or utter joy at the mayhem this could, and will create. It does not take long for it to reach the right individuals, and for the right individuals to communicate it to the hardly mortal being known as The Phantom Wizard. Despite his rare appearances lately, he is still present enough that his name (or the name he uses...) is rarely spoken aloud, not even in well lit and warded rooms...*
*As he reads his servant's missive, the dark mage chuckles, that sound of crushed glass rasping on a marble floor that can hardly be called laugh, nor any other sound coming from a mortal throat.*
"Well...look what we have, here...future corpses." the living shadows surrounding him twitch as he spells the last word "The meetings I have programmed suddenly have become even more interesting..."
*as his words fade, so does his body, consumed by the darkness around him*

Hearing of the matter a human laughs abit before deciding it'd take alot more then a few angry Llothites to stop him. He grins remembering the first Llothite priestess he slew.

From atop their parapets members of the mist lake garrison spot a shield lying face down, floating along the lake edge, giving off an ever so faint glow to their highly sensitive darkvision. As the item is retrieved and turned over to be examined the two step back in surprise as they see a spider held fast to the front face by a dagger through it's back. The surface of the shield has been carved in a crude hand The Spider Crones shall be torn apart limb by limb. One of the guard notices the front left leg of the spider has been severed off near the tip.
I never make mistakes…I thought I did once; but I was wrong.
