Hm.. interesting forum topic. In any case, how do y'all think of Kati? Good, bad? Shoot me any opinions, just send the harsh ones in a PM so I can cry in a corner by myself.

Sorry, not gonna happen. I'll put my harshest, nastiest critiques right here for the world to see. You'll learn to appreciate it when everyone starts PMing you with "No, you're a great RPer, Task is a jerk. I'm going to give you gold and epic gear to make you feel better."

Seriously though, I think you do a great job with Kati. You've given her a good personality and I like the way you RPed her showing and explaining her scars to Gard and the other people present at the time. I liked the RP the other day with her and Zyto. Unfortunately my little guy got sick and I had to abandon the game, but the RP was going really well.

Well, I will point it out. The accent. While it gives some flavour, it is just too hard to read. It's more difficult than drunken dwarf accent and that is hard!

Thank you, Hoihe! Kyo is meant to be hardly understandable, so I take it as a compliment.

Just in case (by this I mean "I know, you did not mean he is drunk") I'll add, that Kyo has nothing to do with alcohol. one sip of bear would make him loose counciousness.

Never seen this posting before, figured i'd give it a try to see what everyone thinks of Buurk Gerz preformance. I'm totally rock solid vs criticism so please feel free to hammer me if there is something that bugs you about him or something you think I could work on to make him more enjoyable for me and other players.

So I will bite, whats people think of vanya who have RP'd with her more then once or twice.

though keep in mind:

Shes meant to be hard to understand in her speech and i designed her with flaws that I am not keen to get rid of as I feel flaws make her unique, yet I do have her grow ( Shes came a long long way since first coming to doron ).

PS please be nice and not mean.

Just as a test, to see if Roleplay can get rusty. Those who RPed with me before as:
Hoihe, Calinde, kwang, Riappi, Nelene, Clandric, Hanten and Vesur, what are your opinions on my RP?

I'll ask again once I return and compare. Let's see if absence improves or degrades one's ability.

Since no one else seems willing to say it...

You RP your character is Half Bugbear... it is the opposite of good Lore/ Character Sheet RP.

Any character that follows this Bugbear theme story and isn't the vilest, most evil monster themselves should be killing this Buurk Gerz the moment he utters the words or implies he is a bugbear, without hesitation or remorse just as they would kill a gnoll wandering the tradeway. If you intend for him to LOOK like a bugbear (as your screenshot story implies he will be half orc and half GIANT bugbear), it should be automatic kos to everyone.
"It is a good bet that I like your character, more than I like you... keep it IC and close to lore and we might stay friends."

There are people that have wanted to kill buurk, and he has been rp called a abomination by a few, his racial background truth has only been revealed to few IC and, only after gaining there trust and respect. I'v only resently added those photos and the new story on buurk's parents bio but, for the last year and half I have played him the bio has always stated what he is. I have seen others with characters such as half hin half goblin, half dragons, half orges, So I figured it to be reasonable, also considering this is all rp he is not aquiring extra stats or feats for it. I'v put a great deal into earning his reputation IC even though a large portion of people still dislike/hate him, the only guild on server that would even consider accepting him is the adventures guild, despite his efforts to become known as good. Most people consider him a half orc IC through word of mouth this has spread and no one has objected to it, except one which tryed to kill buurk, but later his life was saved by Buurk so he was tolerated by him. before he was slain I did originally walk around often with a bugbear companion kanguk that Buurk always stated was his brother. I'v always been open to confrontations about his appearance. I really havent had much of any issues with players just straight up not liking the background rp, and he keeps most of his history a closed book unless they are close friends.

Not including his likeable and happy personality, does this help justify why he is not kos? ignorance is bliss?

The general rule is that you must play what's on your character sheets.
As J.G. Ballard has said, "It's a mistake to hold back and refuse to accept one's own nature."

Evidently this is not true anymore. "My character is a dragon, trapped in the body of an elf!", "My character is really a human male, trapped in the body of an elven female!", "My character sheet says that I am an elf, but I'm really some random nameless race I made up myself!" I guess anything goes, since the DMs don't correct these things.

This is not the case. Biographies like that are not validated by the DM's and are deemed crazy when it comes to in character interaction.
In realms of Mordayn Vapor.. Rollin' DC 16's.. Groovy.

"Evidently" is a relative concept, friend. Narcaleptic's character is obviously convinced he is half bugbear. But he is not, as per character sheet. If he RPs a toon erroneously believing in something, should we rectify his RP? Of course not. People worship Baal believing he will share the power with them...should we invalidate that too? Or warlocks thinking selling their souls to the demonic powers will be a good thing for them?

this, you can do by rolling an aasimar or a tiefling, and believing (idiotically) you have also the counterpart's blood in your veins.
with the minotaur head*
this you cannot do, because I am going to destroy your character.

Clearer, everyone?
Somebody told me I should do what they told me...
But there's a hole in that plan, and I'm tearing it down...
