Ice fiend and his story

Appearance of Shirayuki no Kyogetsu:

Hope you do not mistake him for a girl. He will get upset. Ne?

A cold winter days eve... Mountains of isle of Nishishima... a castle of Yashima is embraced in fire. Enemy army marches in and pillages every corner of the fortress. They do not take captives. Castle's garrison perished or commited suicide. Finally a regiment of invaders reaches the upper floor of the main keep, they slam the last door out... there they find a seven years old boy, the last child of clan Shirayuki. The howling of the wind gains power and a suddnly silence falls upon it.

A boy looks over the room. Walls are frozen, corpses of frozen invaders lie still. He looks on the floor, a large snowdrift is there with some blood on it. Child closes his eyes for a second. He does not seem to express any emotions. No fear no pain, no hatred...
That day Shirayuki no Kyogetsu left his home, Yashima. He wandered off to mountains and has become known as the Ice fiend.


PS: Want to apologise for some inconvenience Kyo may have caused in past. He is biologically nothing to do with "fiends". Ice Fiend is rather a nicname, but by no means a race.

Journal Entry 1

And why that happens? I perfectly know, that principle "friend of my friend is my friend aswell" does not apply to faerun, but still what I witnessed recently seems not quite fair to me. No, I can not of course accuse O-Kati in being friendly to Doron-amarians... of course she does not just know, I hate that town, Corellon Larethan and all his followers. Just this conversation I've witnessed makes me seriously worry, abuot a threat, that we will get on the opposite side of a barricades. I do not want under any circumstances us to become enemies, but thats me. Never know what that girl will have in her mind or does she consider me a friend at all. All I have left now it's to hope she will not be there, when my plan becomes to realizate. Of course I'd rather had her as an ally in this struggle, but as I see now, It's quite obvious she won't support me.

Recently also I discovered, my good friend Merek-dono acts somewhat strange. His actions are unpredictable, he does not smetimes recall my name, calling me by colour of my clothing... know any better way to insult a friend? He may run away even without finishing the last phrase he was just saying, or without hearing a response. Hope he will regain his mind soon. I really worry for him.

I MUST purge Doron-amar from the surface of the land, for the Greater Good. Let no enemies remain alive

Journal Entry 2
Today I and Davi-dono were trying to punish an evil orc chieftain... Orcs would have elected a new one very soon anyway, but Flaming Fist seems not to care and still offers a good bounty for their heads. We were on half way to orcish cavern, when I overheared a conversation of a few commoners... nothing special, but some rumors of a pirates landing on the coast to bury their treasure. Idiots! Who in his normal healthy mind would bury treasures on a continent? Interesting, they did not try to hide it in Baldur's gate itself! After a few deductions we realized, they should have landed south from Candlekeep, near the old ruins of citadel of the clan Ironfaar. We got there, froze pirates to death, sunk their ship and took all they had. A nice time we had.

Then I've got a message brought by a hawk from Perro-dono. He sayed a pirates attacked him near the Gibberling cave. We rushed to his aid, but when we arrived, an Aasimar knight took already care of them.

Journal Entry 3

Again adventuring with Davi-dono. We tried to infiltrate the Xvart village. Our losses: Davi-dono wounded. Their losses: 7 Xvarts killed, 3 Xvarts wounded and one tamed Bear wounded.

Next Davi-dono got tired annd went putting out his anger on orcs. I went to Friendly arm's inn to meet Perro.

Journal Entry 4

Now we are fighting orcs in the cave... Perro is helping me to understand tactics of working in pair with assasins. Basically what did I need to understand is, that if Assasin's death strike succeeds, I should better wait for Perro to disembowel enemy. This way I save power for more dasngerous encounter. Second aspect is, that immobilizing spells work great, cause then Assasin can chop foe to death as if it was a result of the death strike. And of course anyone, who has assasin partner should understand: Assasin should go ahead to strike first.

To understand this is a vital to the stealthy tactics.

Journal Entry 5

Helped another good person... Her name is Rose, as I understood she is from Calimshan, but lived most of her life on the sword coast. She was worried for her friends stuck in the mine in a Cloakwood, so I offered her to sneak in invisible and see, they are allright... an easy task to do. Well we sneaked inn and found her friend's group from a third floor. Well... they had Bryn-dono and Captain Ostriel with them. I do not know should I not be worried for their safety, or think, that with Bryn-dono they are in a greater danger... ?

Well, Bryn-dono is a good man, but he has a few unpleasant traits of character. He is impatient, wayward, in some circumstances he can be happy-go-lucky. I would gladly conversate with im, but would not have shared a foxhole with him.

On our way back invisibility spell went out just when we were crossing a spider's nest. An orc by the name Oromirk or someting similar, carried us out on the surface while we were uncounciousness.

Then We met Perro, who also was trying to save us, but was late due to orc's help. We planned to go hunt orcs further anyway, so we got a crazy Idea to call Rose with us to see our work and maybe learn something from what we do.

Journal Entry 6

Today's morning had a few words with Amy-chan. She told me she was doing a funeral ceremony of a deceased elf, so I told her a bit of my religion. It is quite uncommon for some elf cleric, as she is, not to start hating me for believing in subjectiviy of good and evil and that they do not exist objectivly. She is to be honest almost only person, who is willing to listen to the tales of my religion. Told her aswell about the destiny. Well, she seems to have understood me, understood why I think so, but the idea, that all choises in the future in reality are aswell as made seems to frighten her. She thinks, that maybe I am wrong to accept my path, but I personally do not think so.

Journal entry 7

Today I, Perro-dono, Davi-dono, half-orc by the name Krak-dono and a dwarf, who's name I fear I do not know, pillaged a Xvart village. The battle was as allways: we track them, then kill, but soon Xvarts became agressive and launched a several massive attacks on us. After this we decided to eradicate these small blue folk from the surface of the land and I put their houses on torch. The battle was hard, but we massacred the Village entirely. This day will remain in history under the name Xvart Village Festival.

Journal Entry 8

Today, I was to some busyness I do not want to write about. Yes, I participated in a dwarf-napped hostage exchange. Pity of course to cheat Durin-dono, but I shall sometimes make a division, where is my work and where is my life. Hope he will never understand it was me... For me - well it is nothing personal we demanded money from organization, not exact persons. Of course I understand, that if I act hostile to whole organization, I act against evry last member.

Then at a campfire... again that uneducated emishi Lillith was there. Hope her right cheek will long remember my left palm. And that greedy little Nihm tryed to stab Teris-dono. Well it seems that one day I should kill her.

Journal Entry 9

(-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------). I recieved a letter from The Emperor. He demands my Immediate return to Kozakura due to preparations to war with Wa. I may return to the sword coast once their defences are crushed and Wa itself annected.

"Indefeatability is the same as defence, possibility to defeat someone - attack. If someone stays in defence, means he lacks something, if someone attacks, means he has evrything too much."


Journal entry 10

On my waay back home... I decided to travel through inlands this time again. While travelling through a region of Rashemen again I met up an individual of an Imaskari origin... We started to speak and soon I discovered, this lad has a great warrior spirit, which is to non-kozakurans. The man offered his help in travelling, so we walked for several days now. Watching him I should say he fighs quite well with his glaive.

Maybe I'll have a good use of this lad afterwards... I decided to oficially accept this man as a bushi-mononofu of clan Shirayuki and give him permission to use my family kamon. He accepted my offer, so I sent him to the sword coast, to collect information there and to glorify our clan. He'll be a good for monitoring the sword coast, especially Underdark region in my absence.
