Background:
Born in Evereska as Elias Selim. Elias was always different from the rest of the elven society. His father was an extremely skilled archer for the defenses of the city while his mother was a talented mage. Life was pretty normal for Elias as a adolescent. His father taught him how to use the bow at an early age and he became quite good with it. However, Elias did not seem to enjoy life there and always seemed bored with being there.

Eventually Elias met up with members of the Knaves of the Missing Page and started dabbling with the art of being a rogue. There he recovered many treasures for the organization and started actually enjoyed the thrill of "acquiring" treasures. However, he still had something missing in his life.

One day Elias encountered a mysterious elf who had traveled there for trading ancient relics. He and other rogues decided to steal them before the trade was to take place. But when they came to steal the mysterious elf came out from what seemed like nowhere and systematically killed Elias' group. Elias was the last one alive and before the mysterious elf went for the final kill he noticed something about Elias...Elias was smiling. The elf asked, "Why are you smiling when I slaughtered your pathetic team and you are to be next?" Elias answered, "I don't know, I-I guess I am just happy to see one who so effectively kills and will be satisfied with death after seeing what has happened". This intrigued the mysterious elven assassin named Kaelan and so he spared Elias and took him under his wing as an assassin.

From that day Elias traveled around with Kaelan training in the art of death and the shadows as well as the secret language of assassins. Many elves were killed by the both of them as certain rival houses hired them in secret for the extermination of the others. They took any items they could while doing the assassinations and later sold them.

One day on an assignment, Elias and Kaelan were close to their targets when they found that...it was a setup by the house working with the defenses of Evereska. They fought as much as they could but were severely outnumbered. Kaelan was decapitated by a longsword from one of the guards. Elias somehow made it out of a window and ran as far as he could from the city.

Even though he was bleeding profusely and had almost met death, Elias made it despite the injuries thanks to his use of the shadows. Vowing to kill the house that set them up, Elias went and murdered every single elf in that house. After he was done with all of his killing he threw away his name and referred to himself as "Caelmai" (death archer). He dismissed his elven heritage and cut his hair short and dressed in dark colors. However, Caelmai knew he would eventually get caught if he stayed in Evereska so he traveled away...

Traveling many places, Caelmai encountered much of the world and did what he did best while doing it. There were many different customers: humans, gnomes, orcs...But the orcs seemed to be the best clientele because of there chaotic nature and them many times wanting to kill others of their race that were in power. He learned to speak the language they spoke because of his constant dealings with them.

Caelmai fought many different kinds of opponents. Some were easy but some were quite amply trained and were a pain to dispatch to say the least. Because of opponents like this he acquired many scars and almost met death on more than one occasion. He also has had his share of being poisoned from all sorts of methods. This has made his skin discolored but has also given him a resistance to poisons (Same as assassin class).

He eventually moved to Amn and found quite a bit of work during the war in Beregost. There were many targets that Amn wanted out of the way. After the war however, Caelmai was interested in the Sword Coast and how he could fare there. He decided to move there for the time being and see what would happen while living there...

Goals:
-He seeks an organization willing to find him targets for his trade.
-To reach ultimate power both in his own strength and in the ranks of an organization.
-To find strong opponents to battle to further his own knowledge of combat.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
-Has made many enemies in his past and is hated and feared by those who know of him. Possibility of some of these individuals coming to exact revenge on him.
-Has been referred to as a "kinslayer" for his willingness to kill his own race.
-Has a dislike of most other elves and elven organizations (Doron Amar)
