Background:
Still in his infancy, Morgroth could handle the elements with ease. His father and mother were witches and to top his already magical upbringing off, he inherited gold dragon blood from times past.

Since they were adventurers, his parents were rich, and young. A perfect combination. Their wealth came from the treasures they found in their many journeys. Both humans, young and well-off, decided to lead a homely life in the City of Splendours, Waterdeep. This is when his mother discovered she was pregnant.

His family quickly built a good reputation in town as a small clinic set up to treat the wounded. They possessed great knowledge in the art of medicine. A few times, people died on the spot thanks to their grave wounds or illnesses which were beyond the capacity of medicine of their parents knew of and had access to. Morgroth found that he could sometimes see the spirits leaving their bodies and sometimes even interact with them.

This ability made his parents worried because neither did not practice necromancy. They feared that the small Morgroth could learn to use the powers of this school of magic and become a necromantic sorcerer. They decided it was the best to send him to the Academy of Magic in Waterdeep where he could learn to better control his powers. They asked an old friend from their adventures, now teaching at the academy, to take Morgroth as his apprentice and lead him away from the desires of becoming necromantic sorcerer. His name was Valkert, also known as Valkert, the illusionist.

And the request found open ears. Valkert took Morgroth as his student and led him through the studies of the Art. Morgorth learned quickly, always ravenous to increase its powers. He soon became a young, handsome and powerful teenager. And before long the girls academy became quite interested in him.

At the age of 17 he started to dating Ilma, who had plans to wander around the world and become rich, like both Morgoth's and her parents did.

Ilma was a magician, still an apprentice, dedicated to the study of necromancy and her association with it has made him increasingly interested by this school of magic. Unfortunately for the lad, his master always denied his requests to learn more about using this kind of magic .

One night, to impress his girlfriend, Morgroth managed to steal an ancient tome of power from Valkert's study. This tome was called "Codex Necromantica". He met Ilma and showed her the rare book. And she, impressed with what he had in his hands, began to devour the contents of the book and teach Morgroth all he wanted to and could learn.

One night they tried something very dangerous. They tried to create an undead creature through summoning magic. The spell was too strong for the knowledge of both. Still, hidden in an isolated room of the academy, together recited the words of power and a ghoul was conjured. As they were still inexperienced, they failed to contain or control the creature. The walking dead dealt a mortal blow in Ilma, ripping the heart from her chest. Soon after, the young man's face disfigured with stroke of it's claws, ripping outan eye. Morgoth needed to act quickly. Instinctively he used the most powerful spell he knew to destroy the creature, but did not understand the consequences of using it in a small room.
His desperation and inexperience meant that the conjured up a fireball that exploded on site, destroying the creature, but it also acted like a two-edged blade, causing more injuries to Morgroth.

Morgroth knew he would soon be discovered thanks by the noise and soon to be blamed for the death of Ilma. Young and desperate, Morgroth gathered his forces to cast a spell of invisibility, carrying along the body of Ilma and the rare book. Then hereturned to his room where he left a note saying that Ilma and him had decided to go questing in the world of adventures.

Since he was fleeing the academy with the body of his beloved, Morgroth had to use an old crypt away from town as hiding spot. He remained there for many years, devouring the contents of the book in search of a way to bring his beloved back to life. His short apprenticeship in necromancy allowed to preserve Ilma's body in a more or less endurable form until now, finally at his 42th year was able to revive her. He was pleased to see that it didn't attack him, maybe even had recognized her old love. This done, he gifted the undead with the remains of the heart that once had been torn from her chest, and the creature, not knowing what to do, crushed it with it's hands.

Morgroth knew then that much of the dead brain had deteriorated, and through that body she could no longer be what it once was. Still, he believed that there must be a way to put Ilma's spirit in a healthy body so his hope was not crushed.

After many years living among the undead, the results of his experiments, he learned the way of the pale master and cut his own right arm off, replacing it with his beloved's. This is what he used as a phylactery for Ilma's soul so that in future, He could could transfer it to a healthy body.

After some time he decided to head for the big city of Baldur's Gate, where nobody knew him. There he started to present himself by the nickname of Jack One Eye, with the goal of getting or creating a healthy body to transfer the spirit of his beloved.

Goals:
- Transfer the spirit of his beloved to a healthy woman corpse.
