Very Short-Version Background:

Alex grew up in an orphanage in Waterdeep, and was apprenticed at a young age to a blacksmith who taught Alex how to forge good steel. Alex would also make deliveries to various clients of the blacksmith, which allowed Alex to meet all sorts of interesting people, including a traveling cleric of Hoar. While on a delivery, Alex was mugged and beaten by a gang of hoodlums, and it was the priest of Hoar that later talked Alex out of funk, told Alex that vengeance could be had if Alex was strong enough to take it. Alex then proceeds to individually ambush, beat, and mug each of the attackers over the next several days, and very soon after leaves town, traveling with the priest of Hoar who then teaches Alex all about the worship of the god of vengeance.

Goals:
Bring vengeance to any who deserve it, better own skills at blacksmithing, bring the worship of Hoar to the people of the Coast.

Plot Hooks:
Might get in trouble with the church of Tyr for practicing/preaching the Hoar form of justice.
Would actively seek out smithing resources, or connections needed to become established as a smith.
