Last Name: Aiden
Appearance: Dark complexion for a Moon elf. Short and slender framed, her movements are fluid. She is very physically fit and some people might consider her beautiful, however she has very little skill in portraying herself as such.
She tends to wear dark colored clothes and almost always has Kama blades within quick reach. She has shurikens scattered about her apparel but very rarely find use for them.
She wears three layers of clothes, the outermost being a formal attire (usually a robe) worn over what she calls combat clothes. Underneath all of that, she is wrapped tightly from hip to neck with bandages. The bandages are clean and well dressed.
Very close examination of her skin would show that she is riddle with well-healed scars, almost unnoticable unless looking for them specifically. On her back, she has a Mark, a remnant of her initiation ritual into the Order of Long Death as an assassin. She keeps this mark hidden (Spellcraft DC 35 to sense it).
Race: Moon Elf / Eladrin / Teu-tel-quessir
Age: She looks to be a human's low-twenties in age. She estimates to be closing in on her first century of life.
Height 5'2"
Weight: 90lb
Eyes: Deep Blue
Hair: Blue color. It has been recently cut as if hastily removing a braid with a knife.
Personality Profile: She may seem emotionless or detached when facing serious concerns. She is polite and very formal. Around unfamiliar superiors, she's painfully formal and extremely nervous. When she detects a threat she addresses it directly.
She sometimes struggles with people's titles/roles and seems unsure of her own. She shows an interest in philosophical discussions, shows wit in her humor even if it's poorly placed, and enjoys talks about morals.
She has an almost primal -need- to have a "master" as well. She often considers herself a resource rather than an entity. Her existance is usefulness. The quickest way to upset her is to belittle her skill or usefulness.
General Health: Physically she's fine. Her family has a lineage of being excellent swimmers. Emotionally she's troubled and even haunted by her backstory. She recovers quickly and always has a healthy supply of bandages and potions.
Deity: Classified.
Initial Alignment: Lawful Evil.
Profession: Assassin, Protector.
Base Class & Proposed Development: You'll have to inspect. I am taking this very secretive.
Habits/Hobbies: Fishing, she had never used a fishing pole before, always nets in the past. Reading books when forced indoors for prolonged periods -- typically about societies, culture, history, anatomy and philosophy (anything she could find useful). She enjoys hunting as well.
Languages: Elven and Common primarily. She knows a few others but rarely uses them.
Weapon of Choice: Kama, Shuriken, Fists and Poisons.
Background: ((This is a quick writeup. I plan on doing a journal of her reveries that eventually tell the whole story. Just as soon as college lets up and I'm not constantly doing homework
For many years she survived the Order's slavish treatment and training. Her initiation ritual was a long and deliberate process of torture and reconditioning. She was subjected to many ordeals and pain greeted her with any unsatifactory answer. Through this process, the Order stripped her of her previous emotional weaknesses, such as affection, mercy and many other traits. This process was also used to brand her with a Mark, something the Order of Long Death does with many of its assassins. The Mark is only applicable through consentual candidates, however, and again torture was their method to finally gain her consent.
Her training focused on elves and humans with special interest. She was taught about elven and human anatomy, society, morals and other tactical knowledge. These were her intended targets, had she completed her training.
After years of training, Selande was ultimately considered unusable as assassin material and given to the Order's elders for -other- purposes. She was angered at being considered nothing more than breeding fodder and she fled the Order, journeying south to Baldur's Gate. On her way south, savage winter storms raged and nearly killed her, but prevented the Order's assassins from finding her.
A tradition her family once held was that when a member of their family would live in a certain place or with certain people, they'd grow their hair out. When they left that organization or home, they'd cut it. So too did Selande cut her long hair when she left the Order, upholding one of the few things she had left of her family.
Selande sought shelter in both the wilderness and darkness itself. She often refers to darkness with an affectionate tone.
Goals: She wishes for nothing other than to serve someone she thinks can use her abilities. She feels an almost primal need to have a master, as a sentient blade might seek an arm to wield it.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: She has a long lost twin sister named Selina who may have survived (PM me for details).
Thay often trades with the Order of Long Death, typically for slaves.
The Order of Long Death may have sent other assassins to silence her.
Selande has a Mark on her back from her initiation into the Order of Long Death. She keeps it hidden, but that doesn't prevent it's effect. I also RP that a Spellcraft of 35+ can sense the effect of the ritual on her, and where the mark is located. (PM me for details)
