Vision Quest
Herrans visions have driven him to the point of forgetfulness, disassociation, short temperedness and a mad craving for sleep, at times even when he is walking the roads. In desperation he has come up with a plan. A plan that Mila has agreed to help him with. A plan to recreate his vision, in an attempt to bring it to a conclusion.
Herran has for weeks now been pushing the props department at the White Mask Theater to complete the tasks he has assigned them to do. They have removed all the furniture from within the directors private quarters. They have brought in plush cushions and covered them all in a certain shade of red. Candelabras have been set around the room in exactly the right places, but only one in three candles are placed so the light will be more likely to cast shadows, then bring light.
He has spent most of his time in those weeks searching the merchants up and down the coast looking for incense, candles and rubbing oils with certain exacting scents. They are now strategically placed around the room.
Finally satisfied with the results, he looks over the room one last time and sniffs the air filled with its exotic aromas before stepping back into the backstage area, closing the door, and turning to look at Mila who is standing there watching him.
"Things are prepared as closely as they can be my love." he smiles softly. "They are not exact but with this .." he holds up a potion he had acquired from nurse Abigail at Candlekeeps infirmary and pours the entire contents down his throat. "my mind should overlook such minor details i pray. The potion does not cause sleep, but rather dulls the senses."
"If things go well ... as we recreate my vision ... as I have thus far seen it ... we will either live its conclusion," he grins to her and blushes slightly "or ... I shall once again fall asleep, and with the help of the loving goddesses see this to its final conclusion so we can be done with its haunting and addicting memories."
He looks to her closely as he hesitates, not yet opening the door for them to enter.

Hoihe in the meanwhile, as he keeps his vigil in the Friendly Arm's Inn for an aberration attack also seeks Iselishtra to talk with her about the diamond.

Re: Vision Quest
Mila had watched as the final preparations for the recreation of Herran's vision were finally coming to fruition. The White Mask Theater assistants had done a wonderful job, she thought, in assembling the items and various props to be used. She was nervous about this recreation plan, and had been concerned for some time as to how it might play out. She would fret constantly about her love, and this affliction he bore. Not necessarily much in the way of physical pain (that she knew of), but the emotional burden on her lover pained her greatly.
This should have been the some of the happiest times of both of their lives as they prepared for a future wedding, but the pressure from various occurences was taking a toll. She felt the pressure, and was sure that her love did as well. These visions, that damned gem, it was confusing. Her love, constantly the hero willing to lend a helping hand no matter the danger to himself. She worried for his safety constantly. The Family, the sudden burden of responsibility dropped in her lap. Then there were the personal issues that apparently most couples must face. Other women, men, acquaintances...the gods be damned! One had to be careful that these things did not become small chinks in the armor of their trust of one another.
She sighed heavily, forcing her mind which had been in contemplation of all of these things to clear, to focus on this vision recreation. Perhaps these visions would come to an end. Perhaps.
"I am ready, my love." she would smile and say to him. "If you don't mind, let's cover what it is that I should do at each step, and what you will be doing. Then hopefully we may be rid of this curse upon you." She would smile lovingly to him and take his hand into hers, feeling comforted by his presence and touch and await his reply.

After the final battle of the nightmare business, Hoihe stopped searching for Iselishtra for his armour became useless for the moment's cause. He once again holds the canary diamond within his personal pocket-dimensional storage.

He smiles lovingly in return as she takes his hand in hers, taking a moment to look deeply into her sparkling eyes, he reaches up with his other hand and caresses her cheek with his fingertips. "I love you" he whispers nearly inaudibly.
"I LOVE THIS WOMEN!" he shouts up as if into the rafters and laughs loudly as someone shouts out a reply "We know! Now kiss her and let's get this show on the road!"
He grins wide as he drops his forehead to touch hers, then leans his head to the side just enough to offer a tender kiss.
Taking a deep breath he answers her query. "I will enter the room first and position myself within the cushions. Naked. " he coughs and grins at her "beneath the satin sheet."
"So give me two? minutes before you enter the room." he pauses in thought briefly and nods to himself at the timing "Then you will -sneak- in and move along the outer ring of candles not allowing me to see you fully, only your silhouette. By this time .... my potion should be taking effect, hopefully duplicating the intoxicating feeling I get in the vision."
He then pauses once again, looking to her for any reactions and or questions.

Were Lillith aware of any of this, she would wonder just WHY the Hells she was aware of any of this. She would likely then facepalm and mutter about needing a sandwich, paying no more heed to the overly-dramatized love life or soap-opera antics of her fellow Candlekeepers.

Hoihe just stares blankly at the canary diamond, trying to command it with his words at time to release.

Mila stares at Herran a moment, letting the directions regarding the recreation sink in. "Alright, love. I will wait for the required time and then enter into the room." She ponders something a moment and a small rosy blush emerges. "I'll look for signs that the potion is doing as required and then continue with the recreation. I hope this works, love. I hope it will free your mind from whatever this is. I just hope it works, that you may be...yourself."
She would smile again, watching him with an expression of both hope and nervousness.

Re: Vision Quest
"When you are near my love ... I can be nothing but myself. For when I look into your eyes ... all my problems melt away." he smiles softly, then looks around to make sure none of the theater staff are near and whispers to her and her alone "Just remember ... as we discussed earlier ... do not allow me to see any part of you when you massage my feet and legs, but, when you massage my chest ... and abdomen ... allow me to see your hands alone, and when i make my first attempt to draw you near to me ... do not allow it ... "
With that said he smiles to her one more time reassuringly turns the nob to the door and opens it, but before stepping inside he barks one more command to the theater staff. "Under -no- circumstances are we to be disturbed ... nor is -anyone- to open or allow to open this door!" His voice is one filled with distrust ... paranoia? .... even anger. There is no doubt in -anyone's- mind ... that he means what he just said.
Then he looks to Mila squeezing her hand gently before letting it go. He turns his back to her as he steps inside, pausing a moment ... as if allowing her one last chance to change her mind.

((( As you enter the smell of the incense alone brings back the haunting memory of the visions. The room is not perfect but is damn close. You disrobe and lay under the silky sheets and take in the rooms ambience once more as the flickering candles start to blur under your dulled senses. Still you can't help to think something is missing....)))

In the place of a Dark Lord you would have a Queen! Not dark but beautiful and terrible as the Morn! Treacherous as the Seas! Stronger than the foundations of the Earth! All shall love me and despair!

Hoihe walks around Baldur's Gate with the Psicrystal in his grip, looking for a ring or talisman with Charisma bonus.

Re: Vision Quest
"There is not anyone, or anything that can come between us unless we allow it, my love." She would smile to him as he prepared to enter the room. Her gaze would then fall to the bed, noting there should be a canopy of black cloth surrounding the bed to allow her to move around and only a silhouette be seen, so as to fully recreate the vision.
Following her inspection, she would leave the entry way to the room and find an appropriate place nearby to change clothes. From her pack she would gather her "work" clothes, consisting of her black robe, gloves and hood. The beautiful engagement ring Herran had given her when he asked her to marry him that day on the island near Ulgoth's Beard, that ring she would make sure was out of sight, removing it from her finger and placing it carefully wrapped back into her pack.
For a brief moment, the slightest sense of doubt crept in...'What if...' she shoved the thoughts from her mind. It was time. She glanced to the doorway and waited.

He turns long enough to flash her a smile before stepping in and closing the door behind him.
"Two minutes" he whispers teasingly.
He then looks around the room once more and sighs as he disrobes, tossing his clothes out of sight and slides in under the satin sheet. He frowns slightly as he thinks to himself "something is missing ... just not ... right." But as the potion kicks in, this thought slips his mind.
He simply lies there watching the shadows dance around the room. He breathes in the incense filled air. Lost in time and place, he truly does not notice when Mila slips in.

Hoihe is wandering dangerously close to the whitemask theater with the diamond, probably looking for a charisma bonus item that the performers use.
Rumours say that Hoihe has the tendency to be at the right place at the right time.
