"Ariba...what?" Mila mutters, shaking her head as Hoihe gives his title to the Fist. She immediately returns her attention to Herran sitting at her feet. She places a hand on his head and rubs her hand through his hair lightly, as if trying to soothe him.

"We are going to need some time here alone." she would admonish any remaining staff or citizens. "You may of course stay if Herran wishes it." she says to Hoihe alone and turns to gaze at Herran, a look of concern on her face.

Momentarily she is distracted, seeing Hoihe fumbling with the yellow gem.
"Allow me to help you with that." she says and reaches for the yellow gem slipping from his hands, in an effort to prevent Hoihe from dropping it.

If fast enough, Mila would grab unto a canary diamond covered in Hoihe's blood, it has a cold feel to it and smells of heavy rain. The smell of rain could be led to the blood covering it and Hoihe.

((( Milas cat-like reflexes snatch the gem from the air mid-fall and quickly places it in her pack which she already had. More a reflex than a reaction. )))

Herran motions with a hand that Hoihe can stay as it sounded to him as if Mila did not mind, but, does not look up, concentrating rather on a combination of songs intended to clear his own head.

As he feels Mila's hand upon his head, he pats it gently, then runs a hand up her arm caressing her with his touch.

Too absorbed in his own recovery, he does not even notice the exchange of the diamond, though is still keenly aware of its mention.

Hoihe raises an eyebrow and speaks "Mila, may I have the canary diamond back? I can protect it best, as the Ariornernesjdarastrixarytiss and ariornternesjvorastrix of the area. It's a bad idea to possess that gem without an expert's insight."

Herran turns his head to Hoihe at the mention of the gem, then to Mila.

"Not yet my love." he says almost in a whisper "Let me see it first ... let me hold it ... there is something i -must- see."

Saying no more he simply keeps his eyes fixed on Mila, a hand extended up to her, palm up, ready to accept the gem.

Mila glances from Hoihe back to Herran and nods to Herran and quickly hands the yellow gem to Herran while smiling apologetically to Hoihe:

"If you don't mind him looking at it a moment, I really wish to get to the bottom of this."

He smiles up to Mila as she hands him the gem, and nods to words only he can hear.

With gem in hand he slides back to where he was laying during the recreation and once again lies back.

He turns his head to where that -something- had been missing ... and places the gem exactly there.

He motions firmly to the other two to stay where they are as he pulls his hand away and stares at the gem.

Hoihe utters "*malsvir* nuade karif thric xtirl *ios* vers" casting protection from evil in a stilled form and follows up with a spell of Mind Blank, this time using a purer form of Arcane without hints of draconic in it. He looks at the couple with an apolgetic frown and turns his entire attention to the golden diamond before he utters "nurocuirgarh lae marfedelom vur suaco" before turning invisible. At last he unrolls a scroll of Legend Lore and reads it while invisible, then swaps out one of his rings.

Hoihe, as he often did during his possession of the canary diamond, which is now covered in his blood, just stares at it trying to "tell it" mentally to "eat all the psionic energies around".

Herran stares ... frowns ... glares ... sighs ... then flares! "Damnable piece of hell stone!" He slaps his hand over top of it, wrapping his fist around it he slams his hand into the cushions cursing the gem as he does so.

He looks first to Mila, then to Hoihe, then to his fist with the now cursed gem inside. "Hoihe ... please step outside the room a moment ... I need to talk to Mila ... alone ... " He looks to the now broken door. "you can watch us from there, we ... nor -it- are going any where."

Then as an after thought, as if he only just now realizes it. "I need to get dressed ..." He looks up to Mila and with an apologetic smile, motions to where he had tossed his clothes "If you would please love ..."

"Oh" he looks to Hoihe "do you think a gem like this can act as if it has a mind of its own? ... or would someone -have- to direct its intentions?"

A disembodied voice speaks through the room, it is obviously Hoihe's: "Only if it has been made to be like that, which is doubtful. The Gem is merely a receptable of psionic energies. My theory is that the energies have been unleashed unto you and what I want to do is to trap them back in the gem again. I've got rather good senses, I should notice any magical or psionic phenomenon in the room using Detect Magic. I'll be outside then."

Hoihe takes a knee outside, closing his eyes and opening his ears after he extends a spell of Detect Magic. He makes no further sound, creating the illusion of not even being there.

As Hoihe started casting the various spells, Mila stepped protectively in front of the nearly naked and blood covered Herran, her hand moving instinctively to one of the daggers at her side. She started to call for security, but Herran spoke then asking Hoihe to step outside. When asked to fetch his clothes, she nods and adds:

"Let me get you a towel first love so we can clean you off." She yells down the hall for a staff member to request a towel from. She then returns her attention to Herran as he and Hoihe are in conversation about the gem.

"So we have the gem, and probably where it should be...what about anything else? My...hands? A manicure...a ring? Anything else that you remember?"
