Vision Quest

Herran quickly returns his attention to Mila as she speaks, nodding slightly at the cleaning up part.

He looks at his closed fist at the mention of the gem and at first tilts his head as she begins her inquiry, hands ..... manicure ..., a frown begins to form as she proceeds, ring ..., he is about to answer but she continues, anything else you remember?, he looks away now. His head bows and he stares down at a candle that is not too far away.

"Visions my love ... visions explain away so many things ... slight discrepancies ... like the smoothness of skin ... a simple manicure" He half chuckles still looking away "even a ring ... though i know that you would not ever wish to replace the one i gave you ...."

He pauses a long moment now bringing his free hand to his forehead, eyes now focused on his own naked toes. " but you are right .... there was more ... I thought this, waves his fist with the gem in it, was there ... but I am still not sure ... there was -something- " he points to a certain spot in the cushions. " something right there ... I thought it might be this gem ... but when I took it .. and laid it there ... I don't know .. it just did not seem right."

He then goes completely quiet, still staring, still not giving any hint of wanting to look Mila in the eyes as he speaks.

When the staff return with a towel and few wet rags, Mila tries to wipe away some of the blood from the clothes as she listens, difficult though that it is to remove the blood.

"What...what is it, love? Can you remember?" she looks at him in concern. "Do you suppose it is just a vision of the future and nothing more to do with the gem?"

"That could explain the... manicure..." she says dryly, watching him closely.

[Hoihe]

Hoihe observes invisibly.

He shakes his head side to side slowly, still not looking at her. "There was more ..." his voice cracks and he takes a deep breath before saying any more.

"There was a mask ... You ... " covers his eyes with his hand "She ..."

[Hoihe]

Hoihe mutters to himself, wondering who this "Iselishtra is" after not finding anything of interest in the room. He leans against the wall and toys around with a dragon scale.

She goes silent, simply looking at Herran, to see if he will continue.

[Hoihe]

"Wish I had a way to check for planar involvement at the moment.. would be excelent.. or if I could jump into the Ethereal or Shadow plane..." Hoihe begins thinking and suddenly takes out a book. Sound of scribbling could be heard in the room which's wall he leans against. He then exclaims : " OI! You lot want to recreate a vision? You should attempt to do it in the Shadow Plane. In that plane, the subconscious is brought closer to the actual conscious. It's a dangerous place, to bring people with hallucinations, but with proper precaution I think this whole vision thing could be better explored."

"She wore a mask ..." he flushes in his own anger ... frustration ... guilt "When I called out your name ... she took it off ... and all but cursed me for calling out your name ... she is dark skinned .... with red hair" he frowns as he finally looks up to her

"You..you had a vision...of....someone else?"
Mila frowns a bit, puzzled.
"When did this...why...why didn't you tell me this before now?"
She gazes at him cooly, trying to hide the slightest bit of hurt in her eyes.

"until ... until but a few moments ago .... i did not know ... i have -always- felt the vision was of you .... of us .... " he drops his head in shame " somehow ... someway ... " he stops himself afraid now of simply sounding like he is trying to make excuses.

"You are my one true love ... " he all but whispers

Mila watches him a moment then hears Hoihe's exclamation regarding the Shadow Plane. Turning back to Herran, she watches him a moment before smiling.
"And you are my one true love, as well. I felt a little foolish now, doing this and then realizing that it wasn't simply me in this vision with you. But...anyhow we should finish up here and inform the staff or they'll be whispering all sorts of things about what they thought went on here."

"I'd like to take the gem and a few...companions (she gives him a knowing glance)... and meet this Isellishtra, and see if I can find out anything further about it and your visions. If you will give it to me, the yellow gem.

"I'd rather you not go although the choice is obviously yours, since I can move...unseen if there is need of it. Since, as you and I have seen, trouble seems to follow the gem. Perhaps if you and Hoihe want to work on this Shadow Plane idea *she shrugs* in the meantime, it could be a possibility, I wouldn't know. Unless you have a different idea of course, love, it is just a suggestion..."

Her eyes would lock with his and then glance discreetly to the other room.

Herran stands and begins pacing back and forth as if in deep thought, finally stopping between the broken door and Mila turning fully to her. "NO! There is no way in the nine Hells you are going to carry this gem Mila! .... by the loving goddesses! I have been ruthlessly attacked twice now by whoever is searching for it! ... I will -not- allow you to place yourself in such danger!"

He begins getting dressed "This!" holds up his still closed fist "will remain with me!" he stuffs the gem within his armor and gives Mila a quick wink, his back still turned to the broken door.

"As for this Isellishtra ... Hoihe and I will meet with her ... and show her this gem, but, she will not be allowed to hold it until questions are answered ... to my satisfaction."

He then turns to the open door figuring Hoihe is there somewhere, even if out of sight. "As for this vision ... I no longer think it is one, but, rather a memory ..." he frowns slightly " I think we should go find Valqis ... and see if the place where I was tested with this gem can take us to where it happened."

He turns back to Mila and steps forward wrapping his arms around her in a warm embrace "I am sorry my love ... I do not know how such a thing could happen ... please ... forgive me."

He then leans in next to her ear and whispers something that he is sure only she can hear.

As their arms were wrapped around each other, Mila would carefully feel for the gem on Herran, and then gently pulls it loose whether he becomes aware of her doing it or not.

"Fine, if that is what you wish to do, love." she would say, then quickly pocketing the gem. "As for this...vision..memory or whatever it is. I do not understand. But as you suggest, I think Valqis might be able to give some answers. I don't understand but I need some time to think on it, Herran." she says, frowning.

He nods and sighs "You are taking this much better then I thought " He kisses her forehead then pats his armor where he placed the gem.

"Ready Hoihe?" he says as he turns to the broken door once more "To the keep first i guess ... then on to the Friendly Arms ... then ... on to hell I guess"

"Oh! before i forget my love." He turns to Mila and covers her in protective spells. "Just in case ... they are still looking for the both of us you know. Please stay to the shadows as you travel about."

He then casts an equal amount of spells on himself, and heads out the theater, following Hoihe to the keep.

After leading Herran to the keep Hoihe found an amulet of Pure good and ran off to help in the black orc war. After half the farmlands was destroyed, alongside the inn and Doron Amar.. he returned bloodied to the Keep and sighed. "Been a long day.. but I think we could move to the Shadow Realm version of the Theater and there you can touch the bed and the candles for a forced vision."
