random DM intervention storyline quests?

is there a chance that on a random adventure with friends that a DM could join the RP and form some kind of bonus storyline to our journey?
this was something that happened on another server i went to a fair amount and it added a bonus excitement when adventuring/RPing. how often , if ever does it happen here?
i know there are a lot more players so there would be a much lesser chance, but is this something that DMs do? also, are RP tokens ever awarded? or are these type of DM interventions reserved for guilds?

DMs can throw random events at adventuring people, yes. You might have more chance to get in even trough guilds though, as usually their events are predetermined, so there's no luck factor as if you're on while a DM feels like throwing a little something at a party.

As for "RP Tokens", we do not have that on BGTSCC.
