I traveled south of Beregost this day to attend a meeting of Rangers. It was the first time for me to meet most of these rangers. Those in attendance today were Robin Silver, Celduil Selie, Lambe Arkolyn, Pate, Celdor, and myself, of course, Ellurin Ara'dhel.
There were many introductions and I also went briefly through my time spend in Evermeet. I spoke of my service to the Queen in her royal army as an Arcane Archer and of my Arcane Brotherhood.
All the others spoke briefly about themselves as well; Pate, the youngest in the group seemed to have experienced a wide range of things in his short life; and I was very interested in Lambe Arkolyn, who seemed to know Elohir very well and was very interested in knowing about his eminent return to the Sword Coast.
Before I left the ranger assembly, Celduil whispered to me that I might begin my trials to join the Elder Circle very soon. I know Elohir will be glad to hear that as well.

This day I met with Celdor Latoner and Api'Kartu. We traveled to the foot hills where there are trolls. It was the first time I had been there. We kill several Ettins and trolls before we met with another small group. Among their members was an elven swordsman named Eltier Ellandriall. His skill with his swords was exemplary.
We decided as a group to travel to a part of the land where snakes are plentiful. On our way there, we met a man named Thedran Rock, and his companion Julindra Meynolds. Julindra had fallen in battle with a group of bandits hidden out at a bridge. I used a powerfully enchanted rod to revive her. They promptly left after a short time.
We continued our travels and finally arrived at the snake invested area. Again, it was the first time I had been to this area. The snakes were quite powerful. The others showed their worth in battle.
After a short period of fighting snakes and what appeared to be vampires, Api'Kartu and I had to leave the group.

It is good that I am keeping this journal, as I have met many people. Some I will never forget, and others I can hardly remember their names long enough to write them in this journal. But keeping them in this journal will allow me to remember all those that have shaped who I am, and who I will become.
Today I encountered a man of honor, and his companion in arms, a beautiful elven maiden. The man's name is William King, and the elven maiden was Misara. Together we slew what seemed like hundreds of orcs in the caves of the Woods of Sharpteeth. It was an honor for me to lend my bow and hunt with them. I look forward to hunting with them again.
I also met a young elven maiden in Baldur's Gate. It was at Maltz's shop and I was there to buy arrows. They run out so quickly when killing orcs. Her name? She simply called herself Anethe. She seemed as young, naïve and green as I did when I first started to shoot the longbow. She had already stacked up quite a number of kills in the infamous graveyard. I don't understand where all the undead come from. Surely there is a necromancer hidden in the deeper crypts located below the graveyard.
I stopped at the campfire just outside of Baldur's Gate to collect my things and write in this journal just before I head off to walk under the moonlight of Sehanine and count her tears. It was then that I encounter a being of untimely and unimaginable beauty. She was slightly taller than I, small horns sprouted from just under her hair. They did not detract from her beauty. She blessed me with just a few words and then disappeared as if she was never there. I will never forget her kindness to me. Perhaps I will see her again before I die... that would be something. I was late to the Song of Trees. How embarrassing! Unfortunately I was delayed in my travels and that kept me from arriving in the Woods of Sharpteeth before the ritual began. Celduil was there and informed me the ritual went as planned and the forest was responding quickly. I have never been through a ritual in the name of Silvanus, but I was amazed to see how peace the otherwise dangerous woods had become.
After the ceremony, Celduil and I left the Woods of Sharpteeth and traveled to the Cloakwood Forest where I began my trials to join the Elder Circle. The Elder Circle is the oldest and most influential circle of rangers and druids, and very well any protector of nature, that exists in the Sword Coast. It has a long history.
I will not write of my trials in this journal for fear that someone could use this information against us at a later time. It would be a shame if someone were to steal my journal and use that to harm the Elder Circle or any of its members.
I sit now by a campfire I just made, ready to have a bite to eat and then find some quiet time to pray to Sehanine as I watch her slip across the sky. Now I need to reflect on my day and it's events, for much has transpired today.

After arriving in the Sword Coast, it became clear to me that the troubles of elves here are the same troubles that elves face everywhere. There is infighting between elven subraces, political issues, religious controversy, hatred and prejudice. These problems even exist to some degree on Evermeet.
As for the retreat, I see evidence of elves leaving and evidence of elves staying. Doron Amar, of which I became a citizen rather quickly and virtually unbeknownst to me, is a bastion of its own intrigue. I pray I will not get caught up in its politics, but I must do what I can to help the elves of Doron Amar should the need arise.
I am a hunter and archer. It is with the Elder Circle that my path seems to be following. Although I have not the skill of most of it's members to track and stalk, my skill is increasing; but I would put my bow against any in the group. And so I shall use my bow to defend the Circle.
The recent events with the Talonites have given me a purpose. It's a shame that we as adventurers, hunters, rangers and the like, seek purpose in adversity and trial, but that is our lot it seems. And now that the Talonites have made themselves known, they should be wary of the Elder Circle. For we have a new Archdruid, and his desire is to destroy them.

Night after night, I complete the tasks given to me by the Circle. Usually that is to aid in cleansing the Cloakwood of Talonites and spiders, or to hunt orcs in the Woods of Sharpteeth. Last night I was fortunate enough to encounter the Elder Circle's High Druid. Tyn Silverbeard is a dwarf of few words, but his skill as a druid is without question. Master Silverbeard is the ranking druid, along with the High Ranger Lambe. Together, they are second only to the Archdruid.
I was only able to talk with Master Silverbeard for a short while before he had to leave for the Circle's Grove, but I was able to talk to him about weekly meetings with the Circle. I believe weekly meetings are necessary for members of the Circle to really know what is going on and who the other members are. I hope he and Lambe are able to make this happen.
