/// Just to be clear, I did not get a said PM, but have adjusted my previous post for it not to be an OOC outburst. It's now an IC outburst.

CONTINUED; The Marking; Brave non-Drow Citizens of Sshamath

Not to throw more fuel on the fire.. I had another run in with this Orc player. I took screen shots this time and will provide them to a DM if they request them for review. The Orc claimed to be a Grandmaster. Grandmaster of what? He is not even a spell caster (maybe warlock) and more importantly he is not Drow. When I called him on this he changed his story and stated he was a bodyguard of a grandmaster. I would appreciate fact checking on this. If he is indeed a Grandmaster or bodyguard of a Grandmaster I will apologize. Even If he is a bodyguard though, I don’t think he has the right to RP the way he is.

The faern of Qu’ellar Baendar moved swiftly through the Basilisk caves, unseen being shrouded by a cloak of invisibility. Following closely was his brother, Jaspien of Qu’ellar Baendar, and Cal’s undead ghast minion. Jaspien too was shielded from sight. The minion was not. Cal grinned wickedly and hoping they would encounter a basilisk so that he could watch the beast be devoured by his undead.

Cal turned to his brother, though him being cloaked, Cal always enchants to see such things. He snickered deviously in his comment.
“Do not fall behind brother. Ussa would hate to lose concentration and have dos enchantment fail”

Jaspien dismissed his brother’s comment and made his way to a basilisk nest.
“A moment brother. Ussa require something for that fool faern”

Jaspien scooped up a basilisk egg and placed it securely in a protective pouch. The disturbance however, seemed to catch the attention of the nest’s creator. A basilisk charged around the corner and in a rage attacked first thing it saw. This was of course the only thing visible. Cal’s undead ghast groaned and met the basilisk violent charge. Cal grinned, receiving what he hoped for and stepped back watching the two monsters battle.

The Basilisk soon realized it was outmatched by the ghast and began fighting for its life. Cal enjoying the scene began dreaming to himself about what he would take from the basilisk to be used for reagents. It was then that the hairs on his neck stood up as he heard a noise behind him. A sloshing and screech announced the arrival of a gelatinous cube. The cube, driven by a magical instinctual lust for destruction, charged the basilisk and ghast. Cal managing to dive out of the path of the cube before being devoured now watched the scene with more grimace. His excitement faded as he now knew the fight did not favor the ghast.

Cal turned to Jaspien
“Brother. We will need this minion for our destination. Ussa do not have the proper “materials” to summon another.”

Jaspien understood and drew his blades, exiting the shadows. He moved upon the cube quickly and began cutting and slicing the monster to pieces while it focused on the ghast. The ghast also turned its attention to the new threat and began attacking. It did not take long before the cube was weakened and ultimately destroyed. This left the basilisk, still clinging to what little of its life remained. The basilisk continued to attack the ghast in vain and did not notice Jaspien approach from behind.

Jaspien plunged his two blades into the basilisk with the intent of finishing it off, but the basilisk was stubborn and did not die. Yelping and now spooked feeling two sharp swords being stabbed into its back, the basilisk turned to face its new attacker. Its gaze meeting Jaspien’s.. Caught off guard by the basilisk’s strength of will to survive, Jaspien now found himself locked in a new battle with the basilisk. A battle which he did not win. The basilisk’s gaze claimed victory just as the ghast finished killing the creature off. Now Cal was left with a crippled Ghast and a petrified brother.

Cal realized he did not have the proper magical supplies to free Jaspien.
“Fantastic..”

Cal did not see the Orc who was standing a few feet away observing. The Orc or must have been wondering if the Ghast belonged to Jaspien, because he became startled when hearing Cal’s voice. Cal had not yet to this point moved out of the shadows and revealed himself.
“Reveal yourself! Or I will.”

Startled, Cal turned his attention from his brother to the Orc. He could not believe the coincidence of running into the same Orc who was threatening him the previous cycle.
“I have the means to save this one. Reveal yourself.”

Cal realized he did not have many options and it would save him a trip to Sshamath to return with the proper means to free his brother. He ended his concentration removing his enchants allowing himself to become visible to the Orc. The Orc watched as Cal became visible, his enchantments dispersed, and the ghast unsummon.
“Now apologize to me and I will save him”

“What?”

The Orc engulfed himself in flames staring at Cal.
“Apologize to me or I will crush you”

Cal stood in awe of the Orc’s request and thin skin. At this point Cal regretted removing his enchantments. With his Ghast unsummoned, his brother petrified, and mind too fatigued to cast further spells, Cal stood helpless and vulnerable. But he would rather die than apologize to this Orc. Cal leaned on his staff and laughed at the Orcs request.

The Orc, very brave and confident seeing an unprotected faern as his target, charged. Cal fell easily after a series of blows and laid on the ground unconscious…

As I said I have screenshots of this encounter. I am very annoyed with this player. I have confirmation from another player that he is an epic level bully. Brave against low level characters. I called him out on this as well, but he denies this and says he acts this way around all Drow players regardless of level. I doubt this. I hope I can get a DM ruling on this and a fact check on his claims. He has made these claims OOC or once he said in a third party conversation I heard. Although when I stated I was going to get a DM ruling he began apologizing. So I am thinking he may be RPing incorrectly and knows it. BUT I will apologize if I am in the wrong and have no problem doing so.

/// He can be Lolth's cupbearer, for all it matters, yet the lowest of drow will always stand above the highest of non-drow. Simple as.

Yeah I got told by him once, he outranks 5 of us drow in an event. That includes a warlock of the Temple of Lolth, High priestess of Eilistrae, a follower of same deity, a wizard of the 7th circle iirc, and a freelancer warlock. Random order, by no means ordered by rank. All witnessed by DM's.

Star Wars is fun on the other hand 8-)

But feel free to PM me if there will be some orc hunting happening. Gather some 30 levels and let the kill-fest begin, until he turns level 1 again. Better that than wait for the matter to be swept under the carpet again.

After listening to the faern tell his story, Szark realizes that the situation unfolded just prior to her arrival on scene in the den of the basilisks that cycle. She calmly stares at the faern as she peers over the rim of her glass. "A fascinating tale, faern." She presses gently against her glass of bitter black pretending not to be alarmed. "The Rothe rebellion extends further than the Sshamath guards are aware of and, unfortunately, it is not an isolated incident." She swishes her beverage in a slow circular motion. "But the conclave is tolerant. Perhaps overly so." She releases her glass and it crashes into a wet mess of shards. "But some problems are left to escalate into a mess that is difficult to clean up...and the stains remain long afterwards." A half drow races to the table and begins to pick up the broken glass and wipe up the spill. "But other messes are easily erased." She stands abruptly and marches off without looking back.

// In UD, lesser races fear us drows. The reason is simple: when they show no respect to the drows, the drows will bring force to raze their whole village. Actually, lesser races show respect everywhere in UD, not only in drows' cities.
// I suggest an IC method to simulate the RP. Let us set up a message board in The Gloura's Wings to mark those bully's name (it would be a thread in the forum, provide a screen shot as a proof may be?). We drows go read the board periodically, and start hunting those lesser beings.

Zaknas heard Cal's story in The Gloura's Wings. And he shouted furiously "Faern, this orc is not going unpunished!" Another drow shouted "death to the insolent orc!" Yet another drow shouted "Let us all go hunt this orc and teach those lesser beings a lesson!" All the drows in the tavern yelled "Xas! Xas!" And so the hunts begin.

/// PvP and assassination rules still apply. Screenshots are OOC contents therefore it wouldn't count towards a potential board. Plus there is a thin line between that and victimising players. I don't think the DM's will look favorably on this idea.

/// Another thing is dealing In Character with an OOC matter which is the case here. The only way to deal with it is to submit enough evidence to the DM's and hope for the best... If that would be an IC matter, well then we can talk :)

Xercia listens to the angry mob in the tavern but decides not to get engaged as she has enough matters of her own to deal with. A lousy orc is not enough to distract her from preparations of things to come in the near future and the lack of discipline among the jaluken reminds her of the surface elf forest guard.

// hmm if a forum thread and a screen shot are OOC, then how about we spread the word in game and IC to others fellow drows?
// I don't mean we really search him and kill him when we spot him. Actually what we do is when we meet him by chance, we make him apologies. If he does, then all matters will be forgotten and we spread good words about him like "that orc now knows his place." But if he doesn't apologize, then we pvp.

/// I'm of an opinion that IC matters should dealt with IC'ly and OOC ones OOC'ly. To me there is nothing wrong with hunting an orc out in the tunnels, as long the hunting party has their IC reasons and the game (as in the prey) provided those within RP boundaries. I met at least 3 characters of this guy and each and every one of them had the same features:

- Unfounded hatred towards drow whilst playing in UD (and the next thing he goes trading in Sshamath as nothing had happened - explain anyone?)
- Used OOC knowledge to spark a fight (if you played a Lolthite, he'd call you a spider kisser, but if you weren't, surprisingly he'd resort to other insults and not a mention of spiders, even if he hadn't met you before with this character...)
- Don't care much for RP (interrupted a DM event only to try and start a fight in 'The Spiders Kiss' when Lolthites were gathering, that got his character permakilled, then started an argument -new character- with an event group and another DM, I'm sure there might be more...). In his mind he also outranks all drow as well, but he also has the right level even if it's too high, to be in an event.
- Got permastriked by DM or were at least brought to the DM's attention, therefore it's not worth noting down char names but the player name.
- Had all his characters PvP built only (monks mostly to deal with the mages)

Apparently as rumour goes, he was spotted starting a fight with his mate in the middle of Sshamath's market to see "How much damage can I do. That's not against the rules..." and confessed to me on tell (I still might have screenshots of that, but it's very old news now) that he swapped chars to resurrect his friend who contacted him.

Oh and I'm on his blacklist too. That's because he didn't get any items in the loot draw and I (and few others) did and instead of giving one to him ignoring the dice roll I gave it away as agreed with the group... And he demanded it after having insulted me IC a couple of times...

I'm all for sorting things out by RP means, but this is clearly above me... Therefore my advice. Print screen is your best feat when dealing with him :) Trying otherwise can get a banhammer on your head instead, as if not enough RP has been lost already by his presence and doing... But hey, I can't really stop you, can I? :)

/// Just advisin' :| While wearing my human skin cloak... from my loot draw...

Listening to the Drow in the tavern begin a chant for blood, the Faern of Baendar could not help but form a small grin.

“Xas. The hunt does begin.”

Standing just inside the kitchen entrance, with the tankards dripping water, Nawiel Jr'eine reflects upon the conversations she have been focusing on.

That the dangerous orc will be taken care of, is just a tiny speck of good that will come from all of this. With the crowd thirsting for blood, one Orc won't be enough for them. Not at all. She dosn't sigh, knowing the keeness of Drow ears, but it is with a heart heavy with worry that she resumes her work.
