En Dharasha Everae were preparing to scout the area around Boarsky Bridge and soon felt that something wasn't right. Mendel, who had scouted ahead, returned wounded with a report of an ambush at the bridge, bodies lying everywhere. The elves decided to attack and were met with severe resistance. Valge stayed behind the group, judging it to be a safe distance. No sooner than in an eyeblink she felt fatigued and collapsed. It turned out that the heroes of this battle had been Aiden and Nai who with a stroke of luck, willpower and effort managed to get the wounded to safety and teleport to Baldur's Gate where the priests could tend their wounds. Aiden had found Nai petrified to stone near the bridge but happened to have a wand that reverts that effect. After some confusion the elves gathered that they had come upon a group who were on their way to Triel with much needed supplies. The supplies were however lost and the mood was low at their failure. Not everyone refused to give up as it was and it was decided that Aust be sent to rush his way to Triel where he would mark a leaf for teleportation. The remaining people decided to rest while they had a chance and gather what supplies were available to them in the Gate. In their tired state they couldn't see any other option of getting supplies to Triel than that through teleportation. They were told a mountain pass could be braved but the group wasn't fit for the journey.

//I hope I've re-told what happened correctly in a few words. Pretty much 2 parties wiped and then saved by Aiden and Nai.

Vanya and Celasorian follow there orders and begin to haul empty barrels to two locations and then with many many trips, gently taking but 2 to 5 bombs a trip load up the barrels, packing around each bomb grass, leaves and other soft things, between layers of these soft things many stones and bits of broken glass as well as some rather odd looking murky bottles into the barrels.

Aiden stands guard along the small hilltop near the Boarskyr Bridge after relieving Merek for nearly two days of watching the supplies needed for the forces in Triel. Sir Uriel remains remotely on guard within the small solitary fortress conversing with Sayiel. Within a moments notice, an assassin bearing bandit attire appears from the cover of thin air and strikes down a few to include Sir Uriel himself. Merek and Aiden, being startled by this attempt, in their best efforts try to subdue the death dealer and do so with a bit of good effort. After the ordeal, Aiden found himself poorly prepared for the matters of the fallen and did not pack scrolls to raise the dead, however Merek was.

After regaining stamina and grasping the situation, Sir Uriel decides it best to leave and take the Supplies up north to Triel, else they sit idle and await more attacks from assassins of the like. It only took minutes to prepare for a movement North, but only seconds to realize that the area was being blockaded with a barrage of Bandits. On close inspection, these bandits seemed well armed, proficient, and disciplined much like like a trained army would. The small band of warriors were pressed with the decision to advance on the bandits or take the hills around the way. Uriel noted that taking the alternate route would not allow the supplies to be properly received in time. He felt it inevitable to fight till the death to break through the line and get to his kin. The others did not feel they were properly armed for such an assault. When both parties formed at the ends of the bridge... they eyed one another for a while. A few minutes later Sir Uriel would muster the brave act of charging the group of bandits. The others were still in talks of whether they would advance or not... however when Uriel fell to a swarm of arrows, they took battle positions. The bandits charged with a fierce roar.

In the midst of the bandit encroachment an elven warrior named Mendel could be seeing fighting off a few. The fierce bandit army attacked with a aim to kill. Sadly, the young elf named Sayiel fell. Merek and Aiden split in directions being chased by assassins and and bandit warriors. It was not long after... maybe seconds when a group of elves appeared from the beyond and gathered to fight the bandits who gave chase. After a few minutes.. bandit body parts and battered weapons were lying on the blood stained grasses. The remnants of the original protectors of the supply line joined with the new elven warriors.

In a distance... flashes of light, bursting of fires, and clashing of sword on both body and shield could be heard. Assassins ran like the wind was their guide, cutting down many. The elven warriors would not play down their role to defend the bridge and slaughtered bandit after bloody bandit. The odds favored neither side as both parties grew casualties by the minute. After the long battle... Aiden stood... wounded, and near death whilst a water elemental lay petrified on a bridge. Being delirious, Aiden spoke with the water elemental not realizing its state of being. After coming to reality he dispelled her with a wand and they both managed to gather the bodies of the fallen and port back to the Gate. It was there, they turned to the Temple of Tyr to bring back these fallen heroes. Sadly, the caravan left behind carrying supplies was already burnt. Time went by, those that needed rest, took it.

A plan was in need. Aiden felt his defending the Provisional Caravan was a failure, and it was so. After much deliberation and countless ideas, the group remaining was able to conjure a plot. They would have an elf named Aust Ravenwing stock himself with a countless supply of flight potions and use his evasion techniques to slip through and go to Triel and use the leaf holders he carried to mark the location for a fast shipment of supplies. The Druid Nai would be selected as the one to deliver these supplies. Aust took off with haste attempting to be there in a few hours notice and back. Meanwhile, an elf name Ylleri would join along with Valge and Aiden in gathering as much supplies as possible. These supplies would be planted on Nai and she would use the marked leaf to carry them to the defenders in Triel. It was not a caravan full, but the group felt it was better than none at all.

"The time has come. I tracked this beast from the spine of the world. Lost his trail in Tethyr and suspected his hand in the earlier attacks. This is why I came to the Coast. This is why I came to the Gate. Dahr'kun will pay for his constant warmongering. I would have thought the old man dead of a broken hip, but no... it may be that he stands here again. I will defend this village and then I will see justice done for the mass murdering half-monster. His raids crippled my mother and birthed a beast like me. I will fulfill this oath.

But I have to give the Paragon my holy relics first... They cannot fall into the hands of those orcs."

//Character Biography from a few months ago :) - Been chasing a half-orc that started the raids that eventually led to Borbag's birth. Always suspected he had some influence with the Black Orcs.

//May play this one out myself since it doesn't seem any DM has ever heard of this since I posted that bio, just an FYI if Borbag does something crazy weird during the event.

Silent and grim, three lithe figures skirt the town of Triel. They look with experienced piercing gazes at avenues of approach, choke points, and natural barriers to maneuver. Laisren points.

"There, there, and there. That is where we must barricade, and we will channel them through that narrow ravine where the archers will be able to rake their formations from above."

Tarl nods.

"Indeed. We should destroy these steps and thus drive them to skirt below the palisade so that rocks and flaming oil can be poured upon them."

They continue to make plans and record them on a scroll to share with their human allies from the Order of the Silver Rose and the Radiant Heart.

With the Road to Triel cleared out, Aiden was able to redirect his plan to supply the line. After gathering all the supplies from Yllleri, Julindra, and Aust, he makes makes haste to Triel. Using a wand of Invisibility, he was able to slip by the bothering bugbears that lurked in the area. In his pack, he carried packed soups, bread, bandages, scrolls, and other small rations. The particular fixtures that stood out would be the numerous amount of traps. He would attempt to convince the defensive regime to use these traps to slow down the enemy. In doing this, Aiden believed it would allow for rapid response and maneuverability among the ranks.

In a distance Aiden could be seen a bit hurt. As he was injured in a small battle just hours before. But given the wards put on him, he is able to maintain some sort of intestinal fortitude.

Sir Uriel stood among many warriors in the area, more thank likely taking shifts on watch. Thedran could be seen overlooking the surrounding Terrain whilst some Elves of Doron Amar focused their efforts on strategy. A scouting crew was pushed out, about 7 warriors or so to recheck the path cleared just hours before.

Taken deep into thought, Sir Uriel rose a suggestion to fix a broken catapult that stood in near the outskirts of town. Sadly, no one possessed the knowledge to carry out such a task. It was decided that perhaps the dwarves could remedy this situation.

The town found itself often in silence. The thought of the Orc invasion was dreading on the thoughts of many, though word of mouth played no part in this Theory. Rather, it was the expression and mood given. Nonetheless, the brave stood their ground taking shifts, awaiting for the what would be the Fate of Triel.

Black Orcs are on the move. Bandits challenge from the north.

As a defense is pulled together and built around the town of Triel, as the roads leading to both Triel and the neighboring town of Soubar are patrolled and cleared, as groups bring supplies and fortifications to an otherwise quiet town on the northern edge just outside the immediate reach of Baldur's Gate, the wind carries messages to the Black Orcs that scout and survive the attacks brought upon them by the guild forces.

A heavily traveled trail, used by the Black Orcs, was recently discovered. A failed attempt by a group of adventures to follow it to it's eventual end set the tribe on alert. Emboldened by the rebuke, the Black Orcs—led by an yet discovered but strategically minded source—retreat into the surrounding landscape. Many scouts—be it elf and human or dwarf or halfling—notice the lack of information as to the Orc's current whereabouts. All stare into the silence of the surrounding rolling hills, as the sun begins to set in the western sky.

The combined defenders have done little to hide their preparations—a bold move that stands as a bluff to any that would attack. The bandits skirmish with isolated groups, testing the strength of the defenders, winning and losing in turn. Some might ask: where is the relation between the two encroaching forces of evil? Does coincidence simply arrive bearing chaos, destruction and tyranny?

The region north of Baldur's Gate is vast, and the defenders move position from one point to another, watching their backs, learning the strength of their enemies, preparing with convincing assurance for a battle to arrive on their doorstep like a well boarded crate from a far off land...

The concentrated effort for defense does not go unnoticed...by multiple forces. Yet what is only certain remains this: the Black Orcs are on the move. And Bandits challenge from the north.

Azmodeth, unsure if she can be up to the task of helping out her friends, brings along her apprentice to pick up the slack on some of the more menial tasks like carrying equipment and such, while in Triel.

Azmodeth still feeling the injuries from the beating she had with the BlackOrc squad known as the elfsplitters, is constantly holding her breath through some pains and efforts, walking with calculated two-step - stop movements, while holding her midsection with her offhand.

To those know may have notice, Azmodeth was fine earlier, after some rest and a quick spelling. The fatigued caused by a tleport, caused further harm then good towards her condition, the stress and strain of such a powerful spell has taken its toll.

Merek her friend, and Lexa her apprentice remain at her side, whenever she is in need, for the most part - so far. Merek having sworn no harm will come to her, she is confident she will be fine.
Azmodeth - Retired Frostmage, Abandoned all she had and left without warning.

Boo the priestess scout of Waukeen can be seen greeting various knights, scouts and defenders of Triel, taking time to talk to them , greet them and give them tasty food as a welcomes respite during the wait. She takes time to get to know as many of the faces and names of those she will be fighting aside and healing and perhaps burying.

A rather morose sun elf is posted on the makeshift watch tower on the south side of the inner palisade. He scans the horizon for movements that might give away the horde that will, no doubt, bring his doom.

"Today seems to be the day of the attack. The Black Orcs are camped a short distance from us. I yet have my sights firmly set on protecting this village. My patrols have begun again and I've asked every townsfolk not already in the pallisades, to bring what food and water they can carry with their families now.

I've spoken with every defender as well, though not all wanted to speak back. Hopefully my attempts at diplomacy broke a few arguments and brought focus back to the matter at hand... but it is odd to hear so many dissenting voices at a time of impending doom. Albeit not all can be paladin, I would hope the gravity of the situation would spur others to ignore petty arguments and differences for the sake of survival, without my urging it.

But it does seem to be a common theme on my patrol. I overheard many as I walked by, unsure if they thought me deaf or dumb or both. There is a lot of tension and I hope some songs can be sung to ease it, because I've heard many surprising things. None though so difficult to hear as the disparagement of a paladin by another paladin. It brings a tear to my eye when a holy warrior cannot see the goodness flowing from another. ((And there is in fact a single tear stain on this page)) We should all remember that different paths coming together make a road and roads lead to progress.

And Dahr'kun. I have not, nor will I ever, forget you."
