First Name: Estreia
Last Name: Wefeyn
Appearance: Small and slender, even for an elf, Estreia certainly doesn't look like someone who would fight on the front lines. She carries the natural, otherworldly beauty of the Elves, with blond hair and lovely sun-kissed skin, and golden eyes that mark her as an ar-tel-quessir, otherwise known as a Sun Elf. She can almost always be seen in robes of elven design, with what appears to be a spellbook bound in leather and gold clasps either in her belt, or held in her hands as she studies it.
Race: Sun Elf
Age: 100
Height 5' (152 centimeters)
Weight: 104 pounds (47 Kilograms)
Eyes: Gold
Hair: Blond
Personality Profile: Estreia is usually somewhat cold, always to be found with a book in her face and not wanting to speak to anyone while she has something new to learn. Once that is out of the way, her demenor doesn't improve much--at least, to non-Elves. To almost every non-elf that she meets, she is corporate and cold, with a passion for gold and knowledge that surpasses all else. To Elves, however, this changes. She is more welcoming and cordial, though she still prefers to not speak and go back to her books as soon as she possibly can.
General Health: Prone to sickness
Deity: Corellon Larethian
Initial Alignment: Chaotic Good
Profession: Initiate Wizard
Base Class & Proposed Development: Wizard, Wizard/Archmage
Habits/Hobbies: Reading, studying, understanding, finding ancient ruins, trying to glean information from ancient ruins, speaking to tel-quessir, praying to the Seldarine, being slightly snide and sarcastic to n-tel-quessir.
Languages: Common, Elven, Draconic, Cormanthan, Arcane
Weapon of Choice: Magic
Background:Born to a minor Sun Elf house on the mystical isle of Evermeet, Estreia's sharp intellect and passion for magic and study manifested itself quickly as she matured. This was of no suprise to House Wefeyn, a line of wizards themselves. Indeed, they were proud, though harsh, and tutored Estreia for the many years that she made her home upon the island.
Yet she had always been intrigued by stories of ancient Elven lore. The stories of the Crown Wars took her breath away, as did tales of Cormanthyr and Illefarn, of Miyeritar and Aryvandaar. She was entranced by tales of the mythals and of ancient Elven High Magic that could change the world and destroy gods themselves with it's power.
But of course, these things have been long gone for ages upon ages. With all of their holdings upon Toril gone, and the blood of the Elves growing weaker, the Retreat was called. The Elves are leaving their ancient lands and returning to Evermeet, leaving all of their ancient histories behind... Which Estreia cannot even bear to think about.
So, she went to her father, begging naively to stop them, that their power yet remained out in the world. She was, of course, told there was nothing to be done. Thus, she took her own path, and fled from Evermeet in the hopes of finding something, anything, of the Elven past that she can use to prove that they yet have reason to remain.
Now she is at the Sword Coast, still continuing her hunt. Though whether or not she'll find anything is another matter entirely.
Goals: To find ancient magic and knowledge that could convince the Elves to stop the Retreat. A reason to make them stay. Or, at least, a reason why she in her infinite wisdom decided to flee from Evermeet against the wisdom of her elders and her family, who are retreating even now from Toril. She also wishes to gain in power herself, and prove herself as a true member of the Sun Elven race, against these n-tel-quessir malcontents who have taken what was once Elven lands.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Any hints of ancient lore and Elven magic is enough to get Estreia running for the source, even if they are terribly obscure. Thankfully, her own knowledge helps her in her searches, and her brilliance with ancient lore can be hard to match. She doesn't like to talk to most people, but mentioning such things can easily break her out of her shell, into full-blown excitement and joy.
