Bloodmage and UD

Unread post by Elthan »

I was curious... is blood mage KOS in the UD?
Also are evil summons still KOS in the UD?

The logic that guides the above on the surface is the adhearance to morality and virtue where as drow seem to me a society of self serving backstabbers barely held together by the realization that total anarchy would weaken them.

I hug my bloodmage friends, and grab their undead summons to rub their head with my fist playfully. Sometimes some hair get stuck on my fist, but oh well.. :)

In a word, no. Evilness isn't 'kos' in a place like the underdark. Openly saying that you're a paladin, though, might bring you some problems.

They still see your character as only fuel for their magic though. Blood magus magic is akin to cannibalism, I'd think even drows, especially other mages, would be extremely wary of a blood mage.

From the class description :
Blood Magic can be exceptionally evil and corrupting because of the 'easy' power it offers, for this reason it is outlawed and shunned in all civilized societies regardless of alignment. Those that have attempted to regulate the practice have historically ended up with power crazed cabals of Blood Magi which (attempt to) sacrifice their patrons, apprentices, colleagues and other Mages.
