((Paws would have been... Paws. A barbarian wielding a halberd or greatsword... with a flute tied to one of them for good measure. Slashing with both inpunity and inaccuracy, making music only the deaf could tolerate, and probably being the only large-weaponed halfling there. I would have lost miserably and with good fun!))

- Furious Charger background feat ( for +4AB when charging )
- Ice Troll berserker ( for +2 AC when in rage )
- Whirlwind Frenzy instead of normal one for another +2 when raging
- The last feat should have been either extended range or Luck of heroes
Put rage at first quick slot charge at second and press 1,2 when the fight begins ( unless the player is mrieder who tries to be clever and runs away, then you have to get close to him first

I had great fun during the event and even more after my character won the million. Kudos to the dms, the others players, but especially to karond for doing it and paying from his own - deep - pocket.

Should work unless you run into a bunch of critical hits.Passiflora wrote:(( My character had +13 parry, someday we'll have to try it out.))

The Drow killed my internet before I had the chance to duel mrm3ntalist.
"Next time mrm3ntalist.... next time!!!"
*Laura shouts as she goes for an over dramatic pose of falling to her knees while reaching both fists toward the sky just as thunder sounds and heavy rain starts to pours down, the camera pulling back*
Agreed this was a very fun event. I'd love to see more of these, the purse does not have to be 1 million or anything mind numbing like that lol. A great idea Karond, I did not think level one duels would be as fun as they were, made for some great fights. Thanks for it man, and thanks to the DMs involved!

20 dex, 14 str, 14 con (12 hp)
Skill focus: Parry, weapon finesse, weapon focus: Shortsword Background: Militia (+2 parry)
Makes +14 parry, 12 HP and +8 AB (so your character simian could be hit on a 19!

But I guess it'd only be terrible luck on a fight like this. ^_^ ))

As the Dm who ran this I can say that crits when landed ended the fights real quick and some fights dragged out till someone landed a crit all in all it was alot of fun and perhaps next time we try it without barbarians and see how it goes.

Whirlwind frenzy was the key point. Having the extra attack without having to drop your shield was instrumental to victory. Great building on the part of the victor.

Passi... if Paws as a barbarian is barred, I will build a parrier... and we can stand idly and mock each until one is proclaimed victorious. A battle of cracking wise! Verbal parries between two obtuse swordsman... Or swordswoman as is occasionally the case with you.
