Luna can explain. It is about properties of scrolls and their usability with scroll-reading classes.

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
I fixed the scroll description in the last update and removed he mention that clerics can use it.
I guess I have to re-update item in the shop itself?
I don't remember if you globally change something it kicks down to all the shops.

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
Blindness/Deafness renders player unable to attack, even if they have the Blind-Fight feat.
Blindness
A blinded character is unable to see. Attacks made while blind have a 50% miss chance and a -4 penalty to hit. Spells that require targeting others cannot be cast as a direct line of sight is required for this.
So, instead of just not being very good at combat, even though I've trained to fight blind, I am unable to do anything but derp around. I didn't see anything about this on the spell changes list so I assume it's a bug.Deafness
A deafened character is unable to hear. The character automatically fails Listen checks, has a 20% chance of spell failure when casting spells with verbal components.
Deafened people cannot be affected by a Bard's songs, or even certain spells which require you to hear its effects. Being deaf does not automatically protect you from sonic damage, as this is caused by sound waves whether they are heard or not.
It is unconfirmed as to whether the character takes a -4 penalty on initiative checks.

Blindness works like that in game. I believe it was not possible to script it like in 1st NWN to have everything except five feet radius to be covered in black shroud.
Ah, NWN had some interesting bits...

Worked fine at level 6, I must not have had the BAB I thought I did.

Avasculate needs it's Evil descriptor in-game since people seem confused about it.

casting Shield after being cast on with Magic missile, but before they launch\hit does not protect from Magic missiles as I experienced on the Trade Way with goblin shamans

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
This isn't a bug, it's working correctly. The travel time of the missiles is just a visual effect, the damage of the missiles is calculated immediately per the timing rules of D&D. To put it in perspective, it would look like this in the Pen-and-Paper:burbles wrote:casting Shield after being cast on with Magic missile, but before they launch\hit does not protect from Magic missiles as I experienced on the Trade Way with goblin shamans
Shaman: Begins casting Magic Missile, full round action
Player: Begins casting Shield, full round action
Shaman: Completes casting Magic Missile
Shaman: Rolls damage for each missile
Player: Completes casting Shield
End Round

Shield Bash:
Shield Bash attacks occur on the targeted target, even if you have not engaged said target. This is also true for chests, placables etc. (Anything attackable)
This causes problems with targeting someone when you are in stealth next to them, often breaking stealth.
Shield Bash does not properly trigger Sneak Attacks, the black "Sneak Attack" text occurs but no damage is applied (In some cases, even if it is a hit). Shield Bash also does not trigger Death Attack Paralyze roll.
Shield Slam:
After activating Shield Slam, the character attacks the first attacker that strikes against you, instead of re-engaging the previous target. Much like circle-kick does.
I also have a few suggestions on how to improve above skill.
When Shield Slam successfully lands, there should be a visual indication showing you the target is dazed.
If possible I would also want a "Shield Slam: Miss" text pop up like with the Knockdown skill when you miss.

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
The VFX on Freedom of Movement seems to crash peoples clients. Today it happened to me 3 times, and later on on another character it happened to someone else.
I havent been able to confirm if the client extension does fix it.
I have been in events and crashed people when casting it (sorry guys) so i beleive the vfx should be changed.
On a side note SR also does this sometimes. (maybe it is the purple vfx on the two)
Edit: This has been going on for a long time to myself and others i play with not just recently.

Ghost Faced Killer
My original assumption was that it would do melee weapon damage as well, though that does not seem correct in the actual instance of the ability. Instead, it is doing two hits of 9 and 4 damage (tested three times), though the ability should do no damage and this is most definitely not my regular melee damage of 2D6+15.
Could the in game feat and the class descriptions be updated with damage and effects if this is actually working as intended please?
The ability is a melee-touch attack that is a full round action, not a melee attack as stated.- Frightful Attack: Beginning at 3rd level, a ghost-faced killer can panic onlookers and even frighten his victim to death by making a sudden strike attack. The ghost-faced killer makes a single melee attack and the victim must make a Will save (DC 10 + ghost-faced killer's class level + Cha modifier).

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
Moon Domain
Moon Blade states it will last 1 minute per level but only lasts for 3 rounds on my level 5 cleric. It appears to be lasting 1 round per spell level, could just be a coincidence.
Additionally a description of how to activate it may be useful, I only noticed how to swing by accident.
Aside from that the spell works beautifully so far, very nice look and feel.

AHA! I couldn't figure out why I kept crashing every now and then, when I was grouped up with a cleric - but that cleric always cast Spell Resistance on my warrior.... I'll try to test this with her, when we both get online again
