Lexa Sends this message to the Flaming Fist and all other relevant authorities. As well as a copy posted at FAI for anyone interested in reading.

I would like to report what Fate fell over me yesterday. This is partly to clear up any confusion. Partly to exonerate any others who may have had a similar experience. When I was in the Lions way yesterday. Elril came up to me Yoruchii and Gustov. He asked to speak to me alone. So I went with him. I was warded up due to some recent training. He asked to see my face. So I unwarded so that he may look me in the eyes. He placed a hand on my shoulder and without warning attacked. He turned into a Doppelganger. I killed him. However many more came. Yoruchii and Gustov returned and assisted me. I was un warded and soon died. Gustov died shortly after. I found out latter that Only Yoruchii had the strength to survive. But our Bodies were stolen by the Doppelganger.

We woke up in a cave. Surrounded by Giant Centipede like creatures. The real Elril was there. As was me and Gustov. Trapped in a small section of this cave. Walls held us in. Teleportation failed and we had limited options. However the walls soon cracked. A path became open to us. With little options we followed the path. We heard someone screaming for help. Being a follower of Ilmater I could not ignore this. But after some investigation what we found was a Will O Wisp. My knowledge of Lore Guided me well here. I knew that such creatures can imitate Human Voices. And that they feed off the despair of the lost. After I explained this trap to the others, We agreed to move on. Elril decided to carve a pattern into 3 rocks. Thus we could identify each other. Incase we were separated and a Doppelganger tried to infiltrate our party.

We soon found a path that seemed to lead out side. There we found a camp sight. Some basic supplies. But no food or water. That was when the strength of my mind again seemed to aid me. I alone noted that the air smelled Wrong. That the ground felt to hard. That the fire was not as hot as it should be. I came to the beliefe then that this was a trick. That it may all be in our minds. As soon as I noticed all this and told the others. We found our self back in the cave. As if the illusion of our mind had vanished.

Again lost we began to wander. Soon we found our way back to the very room we started in. The centipedes were still there. Frustration can no explain how we felt then. As our wanderings continued we soon came across the Ocular Adept. The 3 eye man in purple robes. He indicated that we should be silent. Then showed us a portal before leaving. With little choice we used the portal. And were returned to the Mines in the Cloak wood.

I have questioned why the Ocular Implant might have guided us. I know the 3 eyed man is the servant of a beholder. But I speculate that it was not HIS master that captured us. I speculate that he was trying to free us so that his Competition could not have us. If I am right then he was not helping us. He was hurting his Masters Rival. But this is only my speculation.

In the Mines. I smelled the air I felt the ground. I exerted the power of my Minds defenses. I looked for evidence that this was an illusion like the last illusion. But to my shock I found that it truly was the Mines. We ventured towards the entrance. Exhausted and on the edge of metal strain. There we found a party of people. Yoruchii and Aiden and several others. All coming in to look for us. I was safe then I was free at last. Or so I falsely believed. For a second Lexa then showed up. She claimed that it was a trap that I was the fake!

One there healed me and thus helped prove I was the true lexa. Yoruchii in turn knew me so well that she vouched for me as well. The fake was killed. And thus the adventure was over. With haste we fled from the Mines. Seeking the fresh air and Glorious freedom of FAI.

This is my tale thank you for reading it. The Beholders are a growing threat. they MUST be dealt with. We must band together and not allow illusions and mind games to tear us apart.
