It's still possible for him to defeat the "boss" with that chunk of sword, a bit of luck and a kind of Jiu-Jitsu (historical one, for a battlefield and armored opponents) :twisted:

watched the pilot for Sinbad on syfy channel. looks good. will watch episode 2 when it airs

It's basically a show which seems to have been made specifically so that Idris Elba can act out his fantasy of playing an antihero cop type of character. The writing can get ridiculous at times... which is perfectly fine since Elba is a great actor :)
