Why does invisibility NOT make you invisible, even if I cast it I can still be seen, moving casting anything. (recently died to this)
Its described as: Invisibility makes the target undetectable by mundane means. The spell effect ends if the creature makes an attack or casts a spell.
And before people say that someone would know where your at, they would know where I WAS before I cast it. So I am posting this up to understand how the script for invis works and why I can still see people walking around EVEN after they have cast this?

It's a nwn2 engine bug. You won't be seen if you zone into another zone and come back.

As for dying, some creatures see through invis. What killed you?

You cannot trust invis to save you all the time. I always have several expeditious retreats memorized as well. Saved me many times. Certain bosses can see invis.

Ethereal jaunt (lv 7)
Gr. Sanctuary (lv. 9)
are the way to go if things go wrong. Not even icehauptannartanyx can see through it.
Levels are in circles, not character levels.

Re: Invisibility Question
In pvp invisibility does not make you invisible. :/
in PvM it does, sometimes it will take finishing the round, sometimes it will take longer, but eventually all monsters will not be able to see you... ...unless they can legally. Some have see invisibility every time, sometimes some are randomly endowed with the ability, but it is rare.

Always wandered, should these spells make you invisible? Reading PnP it sounds like it should - but it doesn't in nwn2. Even if you transition between an area, you are still visible (glowing white ghost visible) simply not targetable by anything.Hoihe wrote:Ethereal jaunt (lv 7)

I would love it if an invisible effect be applied as well to these spells personally. Every time I'm moving around under jaunt or Sanctuary I'm always stopped, acknowledged, and talked to. I lack the will to correct people and just go with it lately.

No it doesn't. It's doesn't make you ethereal, it's 'greater sanctuary'.
The ethereal was removed. So no, you're not supposed to be invisible.

Re: Invisibility Question
Perhaps the VFX should be changed from the ghostly one similar to Ghostly Visage to something a bit more distinguishing.
