Helping Triel
Laitae packs several healing kits containing salves and bandages and whatever else she might need and travels to Triel. There, she offers the inhabitants to teach their children to read and write as well as basic knowledge and lore. She by no means tries to take priestess Antriera's job from her, but rather help out with healing and bringing supplies.

Over the past weeks a red hooded woman could be seen venturing to the village of Triel repeatedly. She and her comrades cleaned the road via Thundar's Ride repeatedly from the local monsters which are threatening the village.

Re: Helping Triel
*elwyn leafshade arrives in triel with rose kross and provides her skills and supplies to the town, bringing what she normally has on hand for much smaller villages and settlements not providing mucxh buit still helping, amongst her supplies are a weks worth of non preishable and perishable food (normally a month for her usual rounds) pristine bottled water, bandages, sterile and sealed medical supplies, various tonics and concoctions to help fight off infection and disease, basic treatments for water sources and fields seeds of a large variety (again more of a starter set of seeds than an actual supply) clothes cloths blankets and even 800 gold which she distributes evenly.
she also goes about teaching who she can about how to build and maintain clean and healthy water supplies how to gather emergency food how to stash a cache of supplies and possessions and a very simple marking system to allow even non literate people to know where things are and teaches some of the more hands on villagers how to recognise some of the diseases common to emergency areas and basic ways of treating them long enough for proper treatment.
she also provides counselling, healing and confession for any who ask for it, focusing her efforts on the worse areas of triel to allow for everyone else to focus on the more established areas.
when not working she maintains a small camp at the very edge of town by the river where she maintains a very small campfire a shabby tent has a blanket laid down for laying/sitting on and has set up a simple little pit to catch and keep rainwater clean for drinking, she also allows any to come and use her little camp child man or beast
whether anyone accepts her aid is another matter completely but she always tries and maintains her position no matter how many refusals she gets

Re: Helping Triel
As Rose and Elwyn arrives to Triel, they may find Laitae busy helping Antreria with tending to general sickness, wounds from the orc occupation and any hurts the villagers may have sustained in their daily life.
However, if it is day-time, it is just as likely to find Laitae helping educate the children in the village.

Re: Helping Triel
As the days go by, and more and more villagers have been tended to, Laitae spends more time, especially in the evenings, walking around in Triel, checking up on those she has helped. She always carries extra healing equipment in case she needs to change someone's bandage, or if someone has hurt themselves working.

More and more often a woman cloaked in red robes appears in Triel. Without much talk she regularly leaves a huge create full of bandages and other healing supplies to be used by the clerics. A note attached to the crates identifies them as being send by Magus Olyssera.

Re: Helping Triel
The summer months begin to pass, and the longest of days now shortens with every sunrise. The village of Triel continues on with the burden of rebuilding their fields and their homes, fields that were stained in Orc blood and trampled by battle. Luck would have it that the farmers of Triel could reap the economic benefit of a dead dragon left within their village in the aftermath of the liberation from the Black Orc occupation. Many an armor of great power would be fashioned from the harvested scales of the felled Green Dragon, and the monies reaped from the scales would counter this year of no harvest.
While poor compared to those of noble blood, the men and women of Triel are wise in their generations of learned frugality in times of suffering, and strong, from a life of back-breaking field work—it is an altogether different form of wealth.
But now, having found themselves at the mercy of...being forgotten, their political allegiances waver at the many offers from opposing sides of spectrum. The villagers of Triel have become protective, some say even secretive, towards outsiders. Without a Grainlord installed under the Duke's watchful eye, Triel has found itself without direct leadership, but in no time did the wisest of the elders of Triel create a community-based council, first formed to located the two missing children taken from Triel in the confusion of battle during Triel's liberation, then, actively negotiating with agents and Guilds that would have a hand in helping to rebuild Triel.
The Elders of Triel, led by a man named Elderman Trabo, now are known to be guiding Triel's rebuilding, a process underway for many weeks. Rumor has it that while Triel does rebuild, outside supplies do not arrive through merchants or caravans from out of Baldur's Gate.
But what is rumored and discussed around Triel abstractly, is put to the test by and with direct observance and dialogue. Many have taken an interest in Triel, maybe late, but at least never.
To the casual observer that travels through Triel on their path to Soubar, and those that have traveled to Triel in particular, the community of farmers keeps an arms length distance to all outsiders, it seems. General interaction is short: farmers take the offerings, replying with a terse thank you, then retreat into their homes as quickly as politeness allows. When confronted in the fields by the healers, druids and the learned who approach them with good will, the farmers of Triel remain mostly silent, not offering much of an answer to any question. The children of Triel are never left out of the sight of their parents, quickly shooed into the farm house when any strangers approach, especially those not of human blood. More especially to those that arrive in bright armors, or seem to have relations to the knightly Guilds of the region.
Without doubt, a lack of trust filters all aspects of the community of Triel. Rumor has it the the Elders act with a shrewdness that borders on irresponsible protectionism. If it were not for the windfall from the dragon scales and bones making their way into the magic item trade, it could be said Triel would barely resemble it's pre-Black Orc occupation ways.
Maybe it is the fact that this agricultural community based on a barter of goods—now having no historical goods with which to barter—finds itself without a soul. Maybe it is the recent knowledge that their home and way of life exist at the mercy of so many forces that would trample their peaceful community, then, when the fight is over, none, not even the Dukes, come quick to their aid, and that the people of Triel are truly, on their own...and forever will be.
What is even more odd, to the sharp-eyed observer, some farms display a pale skull—many Orc but some resembling...human—in a window, or above the barn doors. The simple people have always held a healthy respect to He that Lords over the Dead, but it is an eery sight to some. The farmers will not discuss these symbols, and should an outsider push them further, with pitchfork in hand, he or she with the questions will be asked to leave, and never return.
Yet one should never underestimate acts of good will. The Elders do not seem to be unwilling to entertain an audience. Letters arrive and are dispatched from the old Grainlord's residence, where the Elders hold their community council. Here and there, the gifts and offers of aid begin to create a fragile but developing comfort...maybe even a quick smile from the Farmer's Wife, or a the wave from a child's hand from an upstairs window....

The heart of Lexa has been Touched by the plea for help Made by Laitae. Lexa has been seen at Triel on her spare time Assisting with the medical matters. Compared to Laitae and several others her Healing talents are limited. But she is capable of handling the smaller injuries and basic sickness.

Laitae persistently, but politely, keep asking if people simply need help with anything at all, always keeping a friendly smile on her face. If any of the elders wishes to talk to her, she gladly speaks with them, but she refrains from speaking politics with them and explains that she simply wishes to aid those who need it - physically or psychologically.

Re: Helping Triel
*All of those that are aware of the Aid the Order of the Silver Rose, The Radiant Heart and their numerous Allies together had given to the Town of Triel, along with and up to and including giving their lives to save the town and it's people would know that Lady Elvina was the First to send an offering of Aid as well as gold to fund the reconstruction and rebuilding of the town, along with an offering of protection from the Evils that surround it. Even though the letter was never answered upon, those in the OSR would frequent the town anyway, making sure the Zhentarim, Orc or other vile groups were no longer present or plaguing the townspeople.
How or when this aversion to the caring and giveing Knights in Armor happened is a mystery and unknown. *

This council seems pulled in many directions, with regard to where their allegiances lay, as information reaches them almost daily that pulls them either to the Lord's Alliance' camp...or towards that of the dark north.
This council drafts an official looking letter, as best as they can muster with limited education and experience in such political matters, and sends it to the Radiant Heart Orphanage, demanding the return of the two children.
The circulating rumor ends with the mystery surrounding what the children witnessed first hand...and to a desire to learn first hand of whom the real saviors of Triel are...
To the Council of Triel,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today on behalf of the Order of the Silver Rose. We would like to express out deepest sympathies for any losses you have endured and offer some aid as you rebuild your town.
Under the leadership of our Knight General, Sir Uriel Honorblade, we and our allies of the Lord's Alliance the Radiant Heart, the Dwarves of clan Stonebar and Kraak Helzak, the Elves of En Dharasha Everea and those from the Elder Circle, have all worked very hard together to try and keep the Black Orc, aided and led by the Zhentarim from occupying the town from the first moment we were informed of their arival North. If not for the vile Zhentarim giveing the Black Orc's weapons and Aid, your town would still stand untouched and all those lives lost would not have happened in the first place.
With your permission, I would like to offer some of our Knights to help patrol the town, being that there is Evil and Crime rampant in the neighboring city of Soubar that is occupied by the Zhentarim, to help keep the people of Triel safe as you try to return to some assemblance of nomalcy. We require no payment for this as this is our duty and our honor. Enclosed with this letter is the sum of 25,000 gold to help aid the people and rebuild what you have lost because of the Black Orc war.
Sincerely,
Lady Elvina Aira-S'efarro

Re: Helping Triel
Ameris is seen heading north to aid the town with his skills as a cleric of Ilmater. He dresses in the brown robes of an Ilmateri rather than the armour of the Radiant Heart, but makes his membership of that Order known when introducing himself in the town. Although concerned by the reactions of the townsfolk, he politely hides it and continue to offer assistance to townsfolk during his visit with any ailments and sickness they may suffer from. He is careful to make clear that this aid is not offered with thought of reward.
As he leaves, however, a look of concern can be seen upon his brows, and he glances warily at the skulls on display.

Re: Helping Triel
A cloaked man steps up on a stone in the middle of the small town and begins shouting.
"Good citizens of Triel! Don't let the would-be saviours' so-called 'good intentions' fool you!"
The words quickly caught the attention of quite a few townsfolk. He waited a bit till more was gathered around him before continuing.
"You all know who liberated your family's home for generations! It was not the self-righteous knights in shining and very expensive armour! Nor was it the elves who abandoned you after a few skirmishes! The dwarves hardly cared for your future well-being, either. And where was the Dukes? Probably getting fatter inside their walls, caring less for what happens to mere mortal beings like you and I!"
He looked around, making sure the words was seeping in before continuing once more.
"No, it was the forces of the North who bought your freedom and your ancestral land with their own sweat, blood and lives. And what did they ask in return? Nothing. Absolutely nothing."
He fakes a cough, and continues.
"Now after you've returned to your homes, all those who lacked the courage, the ability and the conviction to help you the first time around, flocks to your doorsteps and spins false tales about your true saviours, claiming them to be the heralds of darkness and despair."
He took a short breather, taking the chance to see if the crowd was with him.
"Yet... yet, do you see them occupying your streets? Do you? No, you don't. Instead you have these... these sycophants and tale-spinners trying to mend your wounds with bandages provided by none less than the Thayans. Yes, the Red Wizards of Thay! Notorious slavers and dictators of millions of poor souls. Who knows what these bandages they've put on you was infused with? Perhaps they want to sell you as slaves once you all have been physically mended? Perhaps it's all a plot to make you forget the truth? Maybe, maybe not... but it does make one wonder why so-called forces of good joins in with such immoral would-be-tyrants, doesn't it?"
