Background:

Firentis was born the son of a basket weaver. growing up on an isolated homestead near The Marshlands Of Tun. His father would gather reed's. at the marshes edge for his craft. His father would often tell Firentis of the horrible beast's that dwelled there to frighten him and keep him from straying to the marsh. The most dangerous and horrible of these beasts being The "Mudman".

Firentis isolated and bored most of his day's as a child, Had dream of being a hero like in the stories his mother told him. Foolish as he was, he took up a club one and ventured into the marsh to prove his bravery; Determined to slay the Mudman.

It wasn't long before the young Firentis found himself hopelessly lost within the marsh. He wandered for hours, unable to find either the mudman, or his way home. As night fell, and the marsh took on even greater darkness he succumbed to one of the many peril's of the swamp, Quicksand. Firentis struggled to pull himself free, but his efforts only sank him deeper. When he felt a long stick bump against his hand and a weathered voice call out to him "Grab hold young lad!". He was being rescued!

Free of the pitfall, Firentis turned to thank his rescuer. It was none other than the Mudman,
Dressed in moist rotting rags a kindly old man covered head to toe in mud with a unkempt gray beard lay before him. Already terrified and exhausted, this additional shock was too much for Firentis, He turned to flee, but was held still by the mudman.

"Calm down lad, let us find you a meal and dry clothes." The mudman had said. escorting firentis to a crude handmade bungalow amidst a copse of mangrove tree's. The mudman had told Firentis how he tended the delicate swamp. And of many adventure's he had in his many years living there. Once morning fell, He had returned Firentis to the edge of the marsh near his home.

Firentis became enraptured with the old man. Sneaking away from home over the course of five years. Listening to the mudmans tales of the world beyond the marsh and the wisdom he imparted before stealing away back to his bed in the dead of night. On one night however, He had decided he shant be returning. At the age of Fourteen, Firentis decided to follow in the mudman's footsteps.

With the old man's assistance he grew knowledgable of the swamps many perils, but also it's many splendor's. The old man taught him to co-exist with the local lizardfolk. How to craft Poultices from the moss,bark and mushroom's of the marsh, and most importantly; To see the beauty in things most find repulsive. How rot and decay are a matter of course in the swamp. And how that very force of nature makes life possible, Not to turn ones nose at something only because it is unpleasant.

Over a decade passed, and Firentis had become rather capable of a mudman himself when the old man passed. Firentis was heartbroken for the loss of his friend; But adhering to the old mans teachings. Did not mourn his loss, He celebrated the life it would bring to marsh, Setting the old man in the muddy bog to feed the fish, crabs and other scavenger's. Firentis said his final farewell to the mudman.

A year had passed, and Firentis was restless. The old man was gone from him and Firentis yearned to see the world beyond the marsh he was told about so often. Wanderlust took him, and he traveled west. avoiding the roads and peoples he came across, not wanting to frighten them with his haggard appearance.

Firentis had made his way west until he could travel west no longer. He reached the sword coast, He had seen a great many new things on his journey. But decided he should resume the old man's mission. He settled within the High Moor, And has devoted himself of returning the corpses who still stir there to rest. The Swamp shall not be denied it's bounty.

Goals:To rid the high moor of undead permanently, and assist the Cloakwood lizardfolk to migrate there; Away from the danger's presented them so near the Friendly Arm Inn.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:

He carries the egg sack of his giant spider companion Putrescet, constantly. warding it from harm. Determined to keep her children safe until they hatch to greet the world in several week's time.
