Friendly Armn Inn on the surface. If you play a surface character, you can go there from the Nexus once your character reaches level six.

In the UD, no idea. Probably Sshamath or Varalla's Passage.

As for the biggest faction, it depends. Some factions are more open and some are more secret. Some players play in several factions while some in just one. It is best to find yourself the one you like the most.

As for the surface im sure the two knightly Order would appreciate a paladin or paladin/FS. There usually are some knights and paladins camping out at FAI.

If you feel more inclined towards infamy the zhentarim might be interested. For the obvious reasons they arent as easy to find as the paladins.

Not to mention all the others depending on your toon's faith, alignment and your playstyle.


I dont think there is a largest guild on the server if you look at it longterm.

Largest event party ive been in was 17 players spread over two guilds.
Largest single guild event party was at 10 players.
Ive attended theatre performances and planning events with more players but then it was multiguild.

I can safely say we have one of the largest player based factions on the server with over 20 members and most of them are active. There are always a few of us on at most times so plenty of time to interact and RP. Also we are one of the few that takes in lower levels and grooms them. The Radiant Heart, Doron Amar, and Silverose have expansive player bases as well if you’re more good aligned. Plenty of options on the surface and the general playerbase out there is pretty helpful overall. I don't know enough on the underdark to comment. Good luck in your search and I hope you can call this server your home.

So the radiant heart is the biggest? Gosh i loved them in baldurs gate.

I don't know about numbers, but they have a lot of dedicated players like many of the older factions. There are some smaller upstarts always created but the gamble is that many of them crumble within a short time. You can check them all out in the guild section of the forums including ours.

Edit: Nashkel Trade Emporium and Candle Keep are also a pretty active surface guilds.

I reson that since new - i need to surround myself with a large pool of players who can actively steer me and teach me. The more the better

I should leave it to them to speak for themselves but they definitely have a presence and have made several server RP impacts. They are very active as are the ones I mentioned before including our own. You have a lot to choose from so take a look. I can definitely tell you we are very new player friendly as in you would have a lot of help and attention at most times. It's one of the reasons I created the faction in the first place besides carrying it over from another campaign. I figure guild leaders should be out there actively trying to involve new players in the on goings of the server so they don't get the whole "I have to grind mentality" to feel they are equipped enough to get involved. Seen too many come on the server and get burned out by early epics because they never were able to make a connection on the server.
