Oog Cack Mepoots: Part 31: The Binding of the Obyrith Lord
A large group composed mostly of elves was seen venturing into the locked-down town of Nashkel. They were rumored to have been conducting a ritual of sorts. Fantastical rumors speak of the presence of a demon among them, a harbinger of a great evil. Some speak of a portal opening into a terrifying realm. Claims are even made Helm himself appeared in defense of the town to keep a great evil at bay, a reminder that he had not forsaken his faithful, even as they cast him into doubt.
---------------------------------
Most rumors leaving Nashkel in the coming days seem to have conflicting or contradictory accounts, as though the tellers of these tales have trouble remembering the events well, or are making them up entirely. Those who visit the town find no evidence to substantiate any of the outstanding claims made. Merely a town struggling to recover from anarchy and civil unrest.
Nonetheless, there appears to be a noticeable decline in the tensions griping Nashkel of late... perhaps even a threat to return to a state of normalcy.
---------------------------------
The elven led parties split up in leaving the town, with one group heading to the South, and the other two to the Northeast and Northwest respectively. Each group then descended into a cavern and disappeared deep into the earth for some time... one can only imagine their purpose, and what they may have encountered.
---------------------------------
With ardent fervor and steadfast determination, the parties confronted unspeakable evils and manifestations of chaos and madness in their quest. Together they persevered, and, despite the many challenges and dangers, found what it was they sought in the deep dark places of the world. A ritual was conducted, a mere whisper amid the everyday affairs of the realm. But something ancient was found, something nearly forgotten, and with a promise of remembrance, a great evil was bound.
