He slowly draws his hooded, barky face out of the trunk. Twisting his neck around, he scans the immediate area for any would be threat. After deciding that things were to his liking, he slides one foot out of the trunk and on to the thick branch before him. The other foot soon follows, then his bow and arm, until his whole form emerges from the tree.
It is dark, and cold this close to the coast. He takes a deep breath, the smell of the sea breeze teasing his senses. The ranger balances himself atop the branch as he gets a better look at the ground below. The place can be eerily quiet sometimes, with Selune providing as much light as she could through the canopy. He could see movements in the dark, a branch here, some leaves there. It was as if the forest itself was alive. "Treants..." he thought. He was where he needed to be, after all. And it was there in the distance, towards the coast and up by the cliffs, he found that forsaken house.
Deciding it best to remain high above, he starts to jump from branch to branch, one tree to the next, where he can. A good place to set up camp is what he needed, especially with the kind of nocturnal predators out there. "Gonna be some long days ahead..."

An average height elven female with a ragged breath stands in the snowy mountain pass of amn with a heavy snow fall coming down along with the wind blowing fiercely at her causing her cloak and hood to whip back and forth threatening to fly off into the wind. She appears to be covered with specs of dirt and twigs stuck in her leather armor along with splotches of dirt and snow on her skin and in her hair showing of many moons in the mountain passes. Her armor is cinched tightly to her body with thick vines also baring a crest of the Forest Queen Mielikki near her shoulder. The once brown leather resembles the color of bark and moss.
Next to her while she is scouting the lands is her loyal companion and friend who never leaves her side even in combat..Eillan...a beautiful white snow leopard with soft yet thick luscious fur to keep her warm.

///More will come later. Any tips/advice/criticism please PM me directly!

Celduil stalked through the Sharp-Teeth wood slowly, footsteps careful and measured against the soft autumn mulch of the forest floor. The elven ranger watched hidden, pausing regularly, checking for any tracks while listening for signs of any disturbances deep within the woods. Hearing none, he would then move on. The last leg of his journey brings him to the land near Doron Amar, which he searches even more thoroughly.

Her body trembles in anger as she struggles to control it...seeing these creatures in these natural lands causing a disturbance..she clenches her fist tightly..*how dare they she says angrily...how dare they..* "the snow leopard stands back slightly watching her knowing to give her room as she struggles to gain control of her emotions" Her skin begins to shimmer...her hair begins fall into the snow..her armor falls off as her skin becomes more and more transparent as her body takes on the form of a large flowing creature of water leaving no remnants of her except for a small pile of hair that is now flowing inside of this creature along with a pile of leather and cloth.
The snow underneath her melts slightly as it slowly freezes causing a film of ice on top of the snow as she moves forward slowly at first then quicker as she reaches the creatures before they can defend themselves slaying the first one then the second in mere second as she overwhelms them. As she moves away she moves over one body covering it in water causing it to freeze leaving it as a frozen tomb next to blood stained snow next to it as a warning to others.

After many moon spent in the mountains...Nessa is nearing her destination...a place to rest...to be at ease around the earth. *Nessa kneels down and strokes Eillan fur softly before speaking quietly to her "We will rest soon..I know of somewhere you will like".
Smiling at her as she stands up she speaks to her again "Go look ahead to see if it is safe...but be careful.." Nessa watches Eillan run off ahead of her searching for any signs of danger. Following in the direction Eillan ran off to she hears a loud growl she begins to run quicker before spotting Eillan cornered by two large long white fur'd creatures closing in on her...
Nessa lets out a scream mixed of anger and fear as she runs to her aid her skin begins to shimmer as it grows long lush hair as she begins to run on all fours before taking the form of a wolf.
In moments the the creatures lay dead...the large wolf approaches Eillan as she touches her with her own paw in a loving embrace the two pad off to the south. Picking up the scent the two avoid another ambush before reaching a waterfall with a cave hidden behind it..
As the wolf takes on her elven appearance she whispers to Eillan "Go rest...it is not safe here...go hunt and I shall await your return while I venture inside to visit this...sacred tree..the creatures here guard it carefully...it is best if I go alone.."
Nessa watches her companion run off down near the streams edge she stands before the cave with a determined yet eager look on her face as she looks back toward the hill before entering.

Re: Elder Circle Role-Play
Celduil knelt down upon a hill overlooking the ember glow of a great fire burning below. His hand clutched around the crescent moon pendant about his neck as he stared unblinkingly toward the fire. The fire was contained, by a magic he did not even know existed. Even so the damage was done, the Shadow Druids had won this fight.
Cel gazed toward the ground, remembering the words he once spoken to Elvina: "When it comes to who loses or who wins in a war, it depends on whether you lose what it is you are fighting for".
He again looked toward the burning section of the woods, and he knew he had failed. Somehow, the Shadow Druids knew everything about the Circle, while the Circle were not even aware of the Shadow Druid presence within these woods. What the Elder Circle stood for, for so long, long ago ceased to be a priority for the Circle. Two winters came and went, and the only thing to show for it was the slowly healing, scorched earth of the forest, the result of the Orc War, the death of the guardian, the tainting of the rivers, drought, the ever-present undeath, and what was now the tainted earth of a once sacred site.
"Were you in charge of all of those failures?" The words of the Shadow Druid's rediculous attempt to mock him came unbidden into his mind. The elf had scowled. "Have I hit a nerve?" the druid had sneered. Celduil almost stove the man's head in while attempting to knock him unconscious again.
His gaze turned upward toward the gathering clouds, thinking of all those who'd come and gone. He remembered Nai's outburst when he announced he was leaving for Silverymoon. He believed firmly a ranger was not the one who should lead a druid's circle, yet he knew he was the only one who had stood to push it in the right direction, through the past few years since Toshiro left. Through his beliefs he had not pushed for change, believing the druids were more capable than he. Yet this lack of leadership had pushed open a void which could not be closed, and had resulted in the loss of everything they had held dear.
No one was at fault but he.

Alyndra was shocked upon reading the message from Ivan. She felt a primal anger rise in her. Especially about the shadow druids she had always mistrusted. She wanted nothing more than to tear into Cloakwood and kill them all.
Syllith, the she-wolf, at her side, pumped into her, sensing the discomfort of her friend. Reaching down the wild elf came slowly to her senses.
Oh, she would avenge the grove and the unicorn. Of that she was certain. But right now they needed to find the Golden Ash Treant.
With that in mind she travelled to the Sharpteeth forest.

*Nai fought her little heart out with everything she had to try and protect the grove, her home and her pack. She was killed 3 ... 4 times? Each time losing more and more of the civilized elven girl that she's worked so hard for. The animals were prepared for this, as Nai had warned them long ago when the unicorn or "Un-corn", as she called her best friend and protector of the sacred grove, was brutaly and savagely murdered... they made it out safely as she cut a path in the fires in water elemental form, then attracting the attention of every werewolf and shadow beast in the place she quickly was overwhelmed and fell the first time.
Time after time she reverted a little more to her animalistic ways till the last stand where she watched her home being burned to the ground as it was when she was a child watching her family and friends fight till their last breath against the black orc ...... Now all that was left was instinct, drive and the will to live.
Mendel doesn't take his eyes off her, caring for her as she stares blankly into the trees most likely in a state of shock. She speaks no words nor answers even to her own name. Nimcarak, her arctic wolf pup, refusing to let anyone but Mendel near her as she stands guard over her. *

*Deep in the Cloakwood a wolf howls as the wind whispers the tragedy of the Sacred Grove to the ears of Calen Lasgallen. Filled with rage, Calen watches the shadow druids knowing that soon blood will flow.
*Calling Tsali to his side, Calen begins the preparations with his druid spellcasting. When all is ready, Calen takes the form of a fire elemental and with Tsali at his side, the 2 of them emerge from their hiding. The avenging fire of the Lady of the Forest, in the form of Calen Lasgallen's fire elemental wild shape, breaks loose on the Central and NW Cloakwood. Many of the corrupted fey fall, as well as the phase spider and monstrous spider allies of the shadow druids. Vampires from the abandoned estate and many of the wytch-kin succumb to the fire as well. When it is done, Calen and Tsali track down 7 of the shadow druids and slay them with impunity. Calen takes their burned out skulls and leaves them near the fey circle.
*Before he leaves the fey circle to take up his watch again, Calen whispers a short prayer to the Lady of the Forest, speaking softly in Sylvan, "My Lady, be with the Elder Circle as we seek to restore Balance to the Cloakwood. Comfort us in our loss of our sacred grove and in the loss of our beloved reminder of your presence, the unicorn. Guide us through these dark times. May your presence be felt in the forests."

Re: Elder Circle Role-Play
The constant threat of war once more loomed upon them. The child of Bhaal or Malar - one of them - an ugly murderous creation which sought to drain the very soul of the earth itself was upon them. It was known to Druids, and even as much like the cycles of nature which it sought to destroy, it had returned many times throughout the cycle of the world only to be stopped by those who could.
Each victory won against it had come at a great cost for nature.
Celduil straddled a tree branch high among the canopy of the forest known to adventurers as the Wood of Sharp Teeth. Keen eyes followed unerringly as a pair of elves walked past on the trail below, on their way to Doron Amar. The elf felt disgust. This beast, whatever it was, had taken on the form of his kin. The very concept that such a creature could take on the form of purity, the guardians of nature - for that is what elves considered themselves to be - reviled him, leaving him bitter.
Not even the sense of great loss he felt, or the weariness, could subdue the sense of determination he now felt at hearing this news. "We go to war, and I, possibly to Arvandor. Sehanine and Labelas watch over my soul, and those of my friends," the elf remarked, once more clutching the crescent symbol around his neck. "And may this beast be banished to the abyss".
Whatever lack of conviction the elf had felt before dropped from his shoulders as he uttered the words. The Elder Circle sought to stop this cycle to prevent the beast from rising again. They would give their lives for it, freely if need be, to preserve the nature of the world. It was what was necessary to destroy the beast before, and from what they knew, it would be again. There would be no great weapon, no easy answer, just a war, and the emptiness of death awaiting them.
The elf grinned conversely . "Perhaps it is just another life-threatening event to overcome, and we will all be home in time for tea."
With that he descended the tree; he had farewells to make.

Tyn sits thoughtful in the woods, pulls out a parchment and quill from his pack, and begins to write a note. Once completed he summons a bird from the boughs of the tree tops with a call.
Tying the note to the birds leg, he instructs the bird to carry the note to the Steward of the Dwarven Hold in the Troll Claw hills.....Lord Revanark.

Re: Elder Circle Role-Play
* Mendel watches Nai curiously as she gathers leaves and other things deep in the Misty Forest silently. She takes some spring water from the fountain in the front of the tavern, then gathers some Oak, Ash, Thorn, Mistletoe and Acorns carrying them over to the druidic circle by the pond. She crouches down and places the acorns on a flat rock and with a second heavy rock she begins crushing the acorns and mistletoe leaves into a fine powder as she watched her mother do many times so long ago when she was a child. She works diligently pounding out her frustrations and pouring herself and her emotions into the work. After they are a fine powder she mixes them with the sping water from the fountain in a small bowl, making a thin paste. Seemingly entranced, If anyone tries to speak to her or ask her what she is doing, their questions would go unanswered as if they were not even there.
She takes the remaining leaves and the mixture and turns towards Mendel with her sad eyes looking into his deeply. With a motion of her gentle hand she beckons him to follow her to the water's edge. Kneeling down she takes the three types of leaves and floats them on the top of the water in the pond by the waterfall. Bending over and outstretching her arms she lays her palms on the top of the water as she closes her eyes saying a silent prayer to silvanus. Just then Nimcarak her arctic wolf pup slips up beside her and trys to immitate her by placing a paw gently on the water.
In the prayer she asks for strength of the pack to fell the beast Kazgoroth that has destoyed the sacred grove, her Un-corn guardian and injured greatly the Golden Ash Ent who now lies dormant and healing. She asks for the ways and means to heal and bring back the balance to the land and animals... and finally if all else fails and they parrish in this task ... for Silvanus himself to come and purge the land once and for all of this vile beast at the cost of her own life if need be.
With tears streaming down from her face she stands once again in the middle of the druidic circle there by the pond and lets her hides drop to the ground. Mendel looks on with raised brows about to say something but decides against it as he sees she has once again painted her body with the henna type paint tatooing her body in the form of a dragon, right down to the claws on the back of her hands and feet. Over this she spreads the mixture on her entire body, even in her long flowing hair, making her look very much like a dryad of the forest.
Nim tries to copy her once again, knocking over what's left in the bowl and rolling around in it on the ground.
One last glance at Mendel and she heads into the deep forest to one of the moss-covered giant trees in the village. She settles in on the moss between two of the trees huge roots, her back leaning against it's massive trunk. Nim lies down beside her and after a final prayer asking for the same as before she slips into reverie for most of the night as Mendel watches over them protectively. *

The simplest prayer to Silvanus is the Call of Oak, Ash, and Thorn, wherein a priest gathers leaves of the three named sorts of trees, floats them on water, and entreats Silvanus to hear a prayer. For deeper concerns (a conversation with a servant of the god, or the receipt of godly favors or magical powers) a Vigil is often employed: The worshiper anoints his or her own body with a powder of crushed acorns and mistletoe leaves mixed with rainwater or spring water and lies down on, or in contact with, a growing tree for most of a night. Some part of the bare flesh of the faithful must touch green, growing moss, so moss-covered giant trees are most favored for use in Vigils.

Re: Elder Circle Role-Play
Vendor and Mendel, the two rangers of the Elder Circle went for their weekly patrol to the South. Along the way they talked about current issues, with the most important being the latest drow raids. In addition, they replenished the leaves of their common locations, that they use for treestriding.
Once they walked through Nashkel they headed to the Frost Keep, where they counted the dragon eggs, making certain that their numbers are balanced.

The next destination was the lizards cave far to the South. Once inside they stood for a minute, savouring the beauty of the sacred tree. They took a sample of the water which they later brought to Candlekeep for analysis.

Re: Elder Circle Role-Play
In the last Elder Circle meeting, many important desicions where made about its future. It seems that after the latest changes, things begin to move forward. Once the meeting was over, a group of rangers and druids went on patrol to the North.

The moved from the Sharpteeth forest, along to the River Chiontar but when they reached at Boareskyr bridge, they came upon an unexpected encounter. The patrol had to be stopped, because much were to be learned on that day.
