Re: A few NEW ha ha's worth
Cake is a lie, there are only donuts
Through donuts, I gain happiness
Through happiness, I gain calories
Through calories, i gain fat
Through fat, my chains are broken
The donuts shall free me

What's the british meaning of public school? Or is it simply a reference to public schools being good?

As I understand it:
UK: "Public" means owned by members of the public, rather than "the state"
US: "public" means publicly owned, IE owned by "the state"

Dang, why did you have to spoil my pulling of hoihe's leg? Killjoy! It happened the same when I tried to convince him that bears are commonplace in Russia and everyone keeps them as pets
Anyway yes, English "Public Schools" are basically "Oxford Universities for teens". They are called "public" because they used to be charity schools for the poor and "open to the public" in medieval times, that is, open to anyone regardless of social standing, religion, race, etc. Hence the "public".
