It was the year of the Ageless One a wonderful warm midday in the in the Village of Conyberry. I just got word of Mother and Fathers arrival from Helms Hold Village on the Sword Coast not far from Never winter. My father a proud and noble knight Servant to Helm was the speaker for the high counsel on diplomatic affairs involving trade between the two Villages.

My mother was the Village priestess servant to Ilmar. A white monastery where she practice her healing Ki and is where they had met. My father was badly wounded from fighting a group of Hill trolls. Still holding his Great sword in hand and blood running from the side of his body she told me of my fathers strength and flirty ways. My mother would accompany my fathers to all his events to keep is level of temper down. Well at less that's what she tells me but I see the glow in her eyes when she tells me the stories of there travels the battles they fought. I think she wanted to travel just as bad as I do.

My name is Joyleaf. My age is 14 and this is my story. I'm the daughter of a rich and noble family. Anyway today is a day ill never forget for this is the day my family was killed by bandits. I was doing my usual stuff being bored out of my mind with studies on how to use herbs and healing potions. You see around here in Conberry nothing happens. Its a very small village with not much excitement or entertainment.

The maid servant ran to my room and told me that a messenger from the advance party from my fathers patrol guards is here to alert the guards for a possible raid on the village. Two guards busted into the chamber room asking me to stop doing what I was doing and to change into some traveling cloths for I was to come with them to a safe place. I was in so much in shock that I couldnt move, I remember asking the where abouts of my parents. The lead guard said for me to come now we are under attack. My maid servant Brenda was more in action than me for she had already gather much of belonging and was rushing me out of the room. Passing the window I could see black smoke and fire coimg from the homes. The village was on fire people screaming and animals was running all over the place.

Running threw the halls of the palace I could hear the guards and servants yelling as they die in pain for the sounds of steel hitting wood and metal rang thru my ears. I had just reached the doors to the entrance outside the court yard. When four men with long swords entered. I could see that the guards that was sent to protect me was in disbelief to see that the bandits made it this far inside the village. One guard swung me around to my maid servents arms and broth forth his sword and ready his stand. I was so scared that I started to scream and cry for one of the badits gave me such a wicked look I could see the gold shinging from his mouth.

I could hear one of the bandits saying that her kill the winch!. The lead guard in front got into a ready stand for the attack. The other guard used his shield and sword to protect me and Brenda. The bandit ran for a swing to the arm of the guard but caught his shield. The guard returned with a thrust to the bandits stomach. With a sicking yell the bandit fell to his feet dropping his sword, as the blood rush from is belly. Seeing this made the other three men very mad for the one they called brother is now dead. Two of the three rushed the guard. One of them was not paying attention to the blood trail on the ground for he slipped. I could see him go flying into the air head first only to land on one of the daggers he was holding in his hand.
