2 Characters 1 person

So i have a strange question and im not sure if its been asked before.

Lets say i have a level 30 wizard who has decided for RP reasons to start studying a different form of magic lets say... learn divine magic. Now i dont want to RCR the character because getting to 30 took me long enough however i have put in the RP time to learn a different "class"

Could this be played out as 2 characters that are actually 1 and the same person however each character represented the acumulated knowledge of the one? so have 2 characters with the same name "obviously slightly different so it doesnt crash the server or anything like that" but one is a cleric and one is a mage? could it be done? Obviously you cant log both at the same time.

I hate to be limited by in game mechanics!

So its impossible to learn things outside of what your class dictates? well thats fair enough i suppose it just doesnt make much sense to forget everything you knew for a new class.

You can always be 15 wizard 15 cleric.

But no, it's not allowed. Simply because.. where would the limit be?
