New items, the making of, for a role play related reason?

This is both a question if something is of interest to any DM and/ or developer, and if there is a possibility to make a specific type of item for the server if there is a story to go with it.

My character, Nawiel Jr'eine, a drow living in Sshamath found that cut slices from some of the glowing mushrooms contained a sort of glowing 'ink' like substance, which was used to some comedic effect with her boyfriend (In that she got glowing purple ink (or paint) on her nose).

This has led her to some interesting marketing ideas, for 'glowing body paint', or for clothing.

What I'm thus is asking, is if it is possible to make a potion that have the 'bark skin' effect, in different colours and with a glow effect. (and make it so that one have to take a bath to remove the effect.)

I'm prepared, and indeed hoping, to involve the development and distribution of this product in an on going story that Nawiel has with House Oreb'le'i in the city of Sshamath.

Hi Empoweredfan, there are some technical difficulties that would have to be overcome if this was approved.
You would need to mod the barkskin vfx for the various colors.

That does sound difficult. . . and probably much too difficult for an item that will probably not see much use by most players on the server. I have no idea how to mod any vfx or even what vfx stands for, so I'm out of my depth on any of that.

How about the glow effect? Such as a potion that just makes your character glow in various colours, and one can rp that it is covering this and that feature or clothing? The effect of the potion isn't as important as the fun that can be had with the story.
