The wind gently breezed by, as the sun filtered down from the golden sea of leaves of the Misty Forest. She was home, and that meant comfort and safety. With a sigh of relief, she flopped down against a tall thick and mighty tree. Reaching into her pack, she took out a small leather brown journal. Perusing further, she discovered a hawk's feather, and a vial of ink. She opened the journal to a crisp, fresh page and thought a long moment...
A few moments pass, and Annabel dipped her quill into the ink, and began to write.

"Today is the Twenty-Fourth of Marpenoth, and this is my first journal entry. I decided it'd be... well... nice to write things down in here. I mean, who else is going to read this? Anyways, I've been okay lately. Sore, but okay. I can feel the kicks, and they are wondrous. Each kick is a sense of hope to me, that my little boy is doing alright. Little Gwydion Mann. I haven't decided on a middle name. Perhaps 'Ian. It's alright, the name will come in due time. I have four long months to decide... '"
The writing seems to trail off, as she paused to think. Again, she dipped her quill and wrote again.
"I hope Beardy's going to be alright. I'm worried. . . I mean, I know he's a grump, but deep down, he's a good sort. I look up to him. . . But I do not know why. He's not like my father, not in the least... I just don't know..."
She sighed heavily and set the quill in-between the pages, and leaned back against the tree. She closed her eyes for what seemed a moment, until she was awoken by the sounds of the coming night. The sky was muddled, streaked in crimson and purple, as Lathander's light slowly set. She closed her journal, packed up her things, and walked back quietly to her cottage...
