Let us say that you have a target who is being influenced by the presence of a telepathic creature. It "guides" them into being more good/evil by speaking to their mind directly. You wish to remove the influence of the telepathic creature, for your own innocent/nefarious goals, and want to silence the telepathic creature in a non-hostile manner.
Would giving the target (The one who is being influenced) immunity vs Mind-affecting be enough to prevent the telepath from communicating with them? I know Immunity vs Mind-affecting is enough to prevent Psionic control (Illithids in particular) but I'm not sure if Telepathy would be affected.

Re: Blocking out Telepathy? (Lore/Event question)
It depends on what 'spell' or ability the creature uses.
If it's the spell "Telepathic bond", then no, mind blank isn't enough. Though, a simple dispel magic strong enough would be enough.
Your character could first cast detect magic on the person to see the magical effects upon them, roll appropriate spellcraft to learn what kind of magic affects them.
If the creature can 'read' the mind it speaks to, though, then yes, Mind Blank or protection vs alignement will work.
Telepathy only isn't specific enough to give you a clear awnser.
ALSO:
The character under mind blank or protection VS alignement can't be influenced magically. The character can still worry and have doubts if what is said to him makes him, but he will not be magically influenced.

Re: Blocking out Telepathy? (Lore/Event question)
Well to be clear the situation involves a Pseudodragon, a tiny neutral good dragon with the special quality telepathy (60ft, Sylvan or Common), and my character was attempting to use Protection vs Good to block out the creature's communication.
Judging from your post however it seems as if I was in error for trying that. Which is saddening, as I can think of no existing method other than what I tried to block telepathy.

Re: Blocking out Telepathy? (Lore/Event question)
remember that telepathy is a spell like ability, and as such falls under the same rules and effects as the spell telepathy would do. Hence the term "Spell-Like".
