On,

Druids.

Way to kill a heavy lore class. I will wait to play mine again, when the class is about Rp again. Untill then, I see no way to RP with any of them (save for a few) without outright pvp-ing.

Edit: Yes, the post is clear. I freaking hate druids now. Bah. :(

As I see it, there are two issues with druid.

1) It is mechanically powerful, probably excessively so when designed for that purpose. Not an issue in itself, except when you consider...
2) It is difficult to RP one well - the druid's mindset is at odds with the way that most people think. A druid circle is not just the Forgotten Realms equivalent of a college environmental issues society.

The mechanical power of the class subsequently leads people to take it without considering the non-tangible difficulties of playing a druid.

And let us not forget that Druid is one the easiet ways to get a 'pet.' People wants their pets, in which case it would be better if there was PRC that grants animal companion to non Druids/Ranger/Animal Domain Clerics.

I have to agree. I have played a druid for years on several servers, including this one. It is never easy to play, and often you are at odds with the rest of the player base, including fellow druids.

Because druids never talk about their respective gods or think playing one means to act like they just got back from Woodstock.

Sure. ;)

Ban the Druid class from the player base. That's how I feel. :D
This isn't even me being sarcastic: I am actually curious how much I'd enjoy a server limited to something like... the only classes available are fighter and barbarian. We'll throw man-at-arms in there as well.

Strangely... I think I would find that... entertaining.

As someone who plays a Barbarian/Fighter/Battlerager... ///* I know Barbarian 20/Fighter 10 would be mechanically better in some aspects... *///

... I would not be so happy about that. Because I have found a PvP-sweet spot. I can taunt others for PvP, without having to actually do any PvP.

My dwarf: "Alright you weasely runt, put up your fists if yer worth a damm." [ Waves his fists in the air. ]

So many people just go: "Oocly: WTF, hell no I am not using my Doom Build built for my Doom Blade +12 of Vorbal Buttucks!" And they scurry away, leaving my dwarf stand victorious! :D

Or my previous encounter with a Druid capable of Dragon Shaping... Rage + Dire Charge, Knockdown, and pummel the druid dead with character's fists. Most other times the druids have dragon shaped, mind you.

Well, and assuming that the druid has the appropriate PvP spell selection ready.
