[Theorem]

A new priest, a young half-elf Healer named Iend, has fallen into the lap of the Ilmatari. He is seen providing care and succor to whomever visits the temple. He also is seen asking for alms and donations on the streets of the palace district.

Brother Iend seems to have been busy over the past few days, walking into the sanctuary with a bulging sack of donations for the church. He sorts out and counts the sizable sum (around 1,300 coins) and passes on halves to both the infirmary and soup kitchen.

Iend also mentions a large group of people interested in donating various things to the orphanage and begins looking to get acquainted with the Ilmatari who run the establishment.

Ameris has spent extra time in the shrine for the past few weeks, filling in for Sister Louise's absence on Ilmateri matters of faith.

During this time he assists with chores which generally he has no part in: cleaning the floors, dusting the furniture, laying the table and helping serve food. His zeal in completing these tasks is offset with an evident unfamiliarity with such domestic endeavour. He is also somewhat particular about the end result, taking a long time over his tasks.

At first Ameris spent much time offering "advice" to others in their tasks, seemingly over concerned with "everything going smoothly while Louise is away". He appears, after a sustained bout of vegetable chopping (perhaps imposed upon him), to have lightened up with regards to the discharge of temple duties.

Ameris brings an insensate Lathanderite priestess, Neschera, into the temple of Ilmater. Both are covered in blood, and the woman's fine dress is in tatters. Ameris tells the Sisters in the infirmary that Neschera had been the victim of a priestess of Loviatar but makes clear her physical wounds have been dealt with. The patient remains poisoned, however. Several sending spells are sent and the patient is cleaned up.

A Lathanderite Priest known as Tolan arrives with an acolyte of Candlekeep, Ayla. Tolan is seen blessing Neschera with Lathanderite prayers, cleansing the poison but himself collapsing from the effort. A certain Illyana of Candlekeep and the Radiant Heart is then seen treating him.

Later, a Morninglord named Mavicyr arrives to speak with Neschera.

A chest is delivered to the temple, the runner saying it was the clothes Neschera had asked for. When opened, it reveals several dresses of different colour and style, all exquisite in quality. One could easily draw the conclusion that the Morninglord Mavicyr Savyr had been afraid to slight the woman by picking a wrong dress and had opted for a wider selection.

There has been unusual activity in the Church of Ilmater in recent days.

At least two patients of unusual background, perhaps adventurers, have been admitted as patients, one of whom at least recieved many visitors. A knight of some sorts has also taken up residence, acting as guard and assisting the Brothers and Sisters of Ilmater.

Rumour has it that there was an altercation between one of the guests and the clergy of Ilmater in the private rooms upstairs, although the clergy do not appear to be sharing any details of what transpired.

Early in the morning a bright bulb of light can be seen for a moment in the eastern farmlands near Baldur's Gate. Two people walked out of it, a hooded human male dressed in black and white wearing a black cloak with a silver cross on it and a blonde elf in red robes, similar cloak hanging from her back. They proceeded to the city gates, human trying to hurry while the elf gazed at the sun along the way as if it was her first time seeing it. Once inside the the Eastern district of the city they could be spotted making their way towards the temple of Ilmater. Anyone visiting the temple over the next few days would likely notice the elf lying in a bed, bandages wrapped around her fists and the man sitting next to it.

Companion Shy'Nar arrived at the temple this morning and has sequestered himself in his room. Anyone peering through the curtain would find the Paladin out of his armour, bandages wrapped around his chest. He is most often seen sitting at his desk, which is groaning under the weight of various leatherbound journals, arcane tomes, and sheafs of documents. Rumour has it that he is completing a research dossier for Brother Ameris, but the subject content remains a mystery. Rumours also abound that the Companion shows an aptitude for several skill sets uncommon to most Knights, such as stealth, subterfuge, academic pursuits, tracking, and herblore (Both poultices and poisons). This has led some of the Ilmateri Acolytes to whisper that Companion Shy'Nar is not a Paladin at all, and is in fact an assassin working for the upper echelons of the priesthood.

Anyone seeking to question the Companion however, is swiftly shooed away by Sister Brenda DuVale, who seems extraordinarily keen on making sure that Shy'Nar completes the research dossier he is working on.

Seated upon the lower bunk, Sister Brenda reads a tome of hin biology quietly as Shy works away at the desk. With a small parchment and coal pencil at her side she takes an occasional note as she comes across points of import. Every now and again she'll glance up to Shy, her eyes lingering on him thoughtfully a moment before she returned to her reading.

As hours pass, she can be seen wandering out into the temple, offering a heart felt greeting and well wish to whom-ever's about, in passing. Fetching a loaf of bread she slices it, places the slices on a plate along with some cheese, and fixes a single bowl of sweetened gruel. Returning to the room she set the gruel along with the plate of bread and cheese beside Shy, taking only a few pieces of cheese and two slices of bread for herself before returning to the lower bunk... She had come to know better than to attempt a skipped meal as long as Shy was about.

The temple of Ilmater has been busy recently. Two victims of torture lie within: a hin with a newborn child and human paladin. There have been many comings and goings; many visitors for the patients, and even visits from former resident senior priestesses. It is said that there appears to have been some tension, whether arising from patients or their visitors is uncertain, and Ilmateri both resident and visiting have been stretched.

One thing the Adorned say though, if asked: Brother Ameris looks very tired.

There was a disturbance at the temple last night as a detachment of Fists attended, alongside Brother Ameris and Reader Laitae Lafreth, a regular visitor to the temple.

The pair entered in the company of a member of the Fist, and arrested in the chapel a man named Kahanak, a former patient of the temple and frequent visitor.

The man was taken to the Fist's headquarters, and Reader Lafreth departed. Brother Ameris was seen entering the temple again with a troubled expression.

Day in and out, Annabel would recover in the Temple, the Sisters and Brothers taking care of her and her child. Occasionally, Annabel was seen simply shaping water with her druidic magic, or attending to the numerous visitors she's had.

One thing is for certain, she'll be there for awhile.

Early today, Bavel, Lucy, Maxwell, and others spotted a little fire at the friendly arm Inn. Investigating it, they discovered a body with extensive amounts of scarring rendering him unrecognizable. After some inquiry, they take him to the Temple of Illmater in the Gate. Various people have attempted to aid him.

The man lies in The Church of Illmater's ward, cared for by the Temple. Everyday with the help of healing magic, his scarred form slowly heals.

Brenda has spent many long hours sitting at the man's bedside. Telling the unconscious man stories of her past, tales she'd heard as a girl, singing to him (even though her voice is not the best), and otherwise engaging his mind, while his body is immobile. There have been on a few occasions, moments where she thought he might have twitched a finger or toe just a touch, but she's yet to be quite certain it's not simply her imagination. She's also not certain if it did actually happen, that it would have been anything more than involuntary muscle spasms.
