Professional tumbler equals Batman?
I rcr'ed into divine champ/rogue/fighter and placed ranks in tumble. I was wondering if 30-40 ranks in tumble equals leaping from building to building? Seems the jump skill won't be added anytime soon. Maybe not for in-game use but flair for forum Rp would be nice.

Since you will be unlikely to be the only one with a tumble skill that high.. How many chars could you bare seeing jumping from building to building?

Jump skill is Strength based and takes armor penalties.
Tumble is Dex based, though still affected by armor.
I would leave this up to individual DMs in their events if you wanted to ask them to jump from point A to point B. Just remember that DMs are usually pretty busy in events and that everyone likes to watch someone fail and faceplant.
Personally, in one of my events, I'd rather have a plain strength roll.
I tend to think of "Tumble" more as "Footwork" to better represent it in combat. Someone rolling around on the ground in a swordfight is mincemeat in my mind. However, a dexterous duelist certainly has an edge over a slower opponent.

Things that I believe that High tumble should allow you:
25 feet fall, without any injuries more than a bruised heel.
Also.. actually, what the guy did on that video. [leaping from building to building to climb]..
is an Epic roll with Tumble of 50. You can climb a 20 feet tall wall if there is another building adjecent to it, provided you make a roll of 50.

50 Climb vertical surface.
Climb Vertical Surface
The character can climb up to 20 feet (as part of normal move-ment) by jumping and bouncing off walls, trees, or similar vertical surfaces. The character must have at least two vertical surfaces to bounce off, and the two must be within 10 feet of each other.[/quote]
And of course avoiding damage from tall falls/fumbles:
And of course David Belle style jumping off of footbridges and continuing to walk/run as if nothing happened.

*just considers all the builds that can manage 30 Tumble*
