Mine is over 32Gb and I'd like to move it from my SSD, which is filling up, to my HDD which has acres of space.
Anyone know what settings I need to change so that the game will look in the new location?

Re: Moving the NWN2 Document Directory
The one problem I had when I tried it, was the client extension. I wasn't able to redirect it to the new location. Other than that, no troubles.
Oh, wait, you only want to change the documentary files. Sorry, I didn't do that.

In xp (should be similar on 7)
Right click on my documents in the start menu and there change the letter denoting your SSD to the one denoting your HDD.
It should ask you if you want.to transfer the contents, hit agree and voila.
Also works with partitions. Personally, I keep my windows "documents" on the storage partition shared by ubuntu linux and Windows, and neither have any complaints. Client extension should be able to find it as well, since I think it reads the registry and your registry should redirect it there.
You could also use this to usevn existing folder as your documents one. So long windows registry recognises a folder as the user's doc folder, every application based on things in your documents folder will work.
Moving docs folder without altering registry manually or through the prosperity menu in start menu WON'T work.

That looks the way Hoihe, except I have Win8, which I should have said at the start!
Maybe I can just move and then say include in Documents. I'll give it a try. Nope, that doesn't work.

I found out how to do it in Win8 here: http://www.onecomputerguy.com/windows8/ ... uments.htm
Note that I found I had to right-click on Documents in the left panel to get the correct properties up.
Seems to have worked. At least for NWN2...

I wonder if you can use the right click trick to create a portable documents folder on a flash drive!
I mean.. insert flash drive, redirect documents to the folder on it without transferring current one, and use it as a mobile \documents folder.
In theory, it should work.
