Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
*Andalor enters the flaming fist castle in Baldurs Gate, scared but walking on his own legs*
*He heads to the first fist officer he can find*
Sir! I, Andalor de Nark, Warpriest of Lord Helm the ever watchfull, witnessed an necromancer practicing his evil arts in the sharpwood forest! After I confronted him, a fight was started... He threw all kinds of wicked and no doubt evil magics against me, but to no avail! I stood vigilant! I stood firm! But then the coward just vanished! I could see him anymore... and thus, sadly, he got away!
What? His name? He didn't tell me... How he looked like? ... He was rather tall... Most likely human, dressed in a robe and I am pretty sure he had a beard... But he was wrapped in magics, so I could not really see his face or the details of his clothing.
I hope you shall find and capture this wicked individual!

Weave Knight S'ment Lodir on returning to the palace district with the bloodied head of the latest orc chief he had recently dispatched in the Fist's service happens to overhear the conversation.
"...rather tall... Most likely human, dressed in a robe and I am pretty sure he had a beard... But he was wrapped in magics, so I could not really see his face or the details of his clothing."
Frowning he mutters, "bloody necromancers" under his breath as he hurries off to the Istari Tower to report this latest incident of necromancy on the Sword Coast to the rest of the council.
Along the way he passes and decides to stop in at the Helm and Cloak to hobnob and raise an ale or two or...
...and after several hours there he finally leaves and heads back to the Istari Tower.
Crossing into the entry hall-- only then does it occur to him that this description could even be applied to Weave Exarch Elias Goodmane.
"Damn I should have pumped that fellah fer more information... the Tower don't need such rumors starting again... ah well nothing ter be done about it now," he muses over a loud belch as he begins to climb the stairs to his quarters.
"Now dat I think about it, I wonder if this sort of rumor even be worth bothering the rest of the council over?"

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
When the sun was preparing to set over the roofs of the city, painting them in soft golden colours, a procession approached the Flaming Fist Headquarters, drawing curious looks of some passers-by and making the others to roll their eyes. It consisted of two females, one human and one halfling, and two human males, one of which was bound and carried by the other.
The three of them proceeded to hand over the bound man to the members of the Fist posted outside and explain that the man was summoning devils and undeads which attacked travellers in the farmlands. The name of Beren Cross was mentioned as the one aiding in the capture of the culprit, and the three others were Alexander Stormhold, Candalria Brightfoot and Aileen Lonergan. The latter introduced herself as a representative of the Weave Masters presenting their insignia and requested a permission to be present during interrogations of the captured man if it would be possible for the deeds of the man were abuse of the Weave, thus concerning the Weave Masters directly.
((No DMs or Fist players were online, so if anyone could pick this up, it would be great;) The name of the captured character isn't known ICly, but would be available OOCly upon request ))

To Flaming Fist.
News of Justin Crownsilver death has reached my ears. I send my prayers to you. Should you choose to find other ways to bring Justin back to life. In my possession is a Diamond. I'd be willing to give it to you, to catalyst for Justin resurrection.
I'd also be willing to give you location of Beren Cross. Along with a few of his close friends and followers. All I ask in return is to have all my crimes erased from record, bounty reward, and given a small position in the Fist. Doing odd jobs here and there.
Sleep on it.
Colt.

As the Order was not formed to be the law in Baldurs nor to seek open opposition to the Fist, Rather it was formed to be a becon of hope and protection as well as a source of aid against the evils along the road.

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
First Sergeant Heppenzeiler swung the door of his office shut and seated himself behind his desk. The news of one of the members of the Valiant Shield turning herself in had just reached him, though it was no surprise. In his mind, he felt that many of the members had been duped into joining for a supposedly noble cause, but instead were being used as tools to further the personal ambitions of the criminal and traitor, Beren Cross.
Candelaria's and Christian's actions had only confirmed his thinking, and that not all of the members were entirely naive to Beren's actions. One does not wage war against those that protect the city without bringing down the wrath of not just the Fist, but all of the Dukes and all of the forces under their charge. Surely in time more of the members would see the folly of following such a poor leader. Eventually, Beren's own would turn against him.
He suddenly opened the drawer of his desk and pulled a roll of parchment from it. Dipping a quill in ink, he began to pen an order as the new acting commander of the Road Wardens. As he wrote, he thought to himself, Cross has dealt a heavy blow, but the walls he uses to protect himself already begin to fall. In the end, everyone shall see what he truly is...
He scribbled rapidly.

Several hours later, Sgt. Heppenzeiler chuckled a little to himself as word was brought in of Cross' capture. Actions were swift indeed.Retired Dungeon Master and Developer

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
Reads over the acting commanders orders in disgust. The best of them lay dead for showing mercy to the enemy, now Heppenzeiler does the same. There was too much weakness in the road warden command, he knew it and so did corporal Dredd. Not one to disobey orders, he would treat the prisoners as commanded; he stows away his personal torture kit.
However, in his new position as Sergeant he had now had the authority to set up Drills for the new recruits. He thought to himself, if the tip of the pyramid is weak then the foundation will not be.

Cody sits in a Fist prison isolated from rest of prison population. Brought in for killing Caedis Praedurum and Christian Cross. When asked why he did it he refers to the Wanted dead posters. If further questioned he will talk about a different topic or ask to speak to Dredd.

Has the an order sent to release Cody, then proceeds to find out who released the prisioners Caedis Praedurum and Christian Cross before there release date. He rages as these good men were being kept in the cells for their own safty, this will only damage relation with the Valiant Shield which he has been attempting to repair. He prays that these men aren't fool hardy and hopes they have made a safe retreat to Amn until this unfortunate affair has come to a climax.

*A large raven drops a note at the door of the Fist Headquarters, sealed in wax with a large "F". The raven then flies away.*
The note reads:
To the Dukes and the Fist:
I do not speak on behalf of the elven community or of the Elder Circle, but simply as myself. Thank you for the conditional release and pardon of Elrithmithrade and Elriandar. I personally believe you have acted justly in this situation. A special thanks to Myhun for his efforts in securing their release.
Even though I do not officially speak for the elven community, I would like to extend an apology to the Fist and the Dukes for the chaos this situation has caused.

*A hawk drops a letter next to the letter a Raven dropped, sealed in wax with a large 'E'*
To the Dukes and to the Fist,
Word has come to me of your kind grace in the matter of Elriandar and Elrithmithrade. As I am not there to personally give you my thanks, I hope this letter will suffice.
Much has been lost due to the recent events and I hope that those events do not in any way damage the relationships that have prospered over time.
Upon my return, I will personally pay my respects to a lost friend, Sir Justin Crownsilver. Our Lady of the Forest guide you all.

A scroll is delivered by a messenger to the Fist headquarters addressed in a very stylised and flowing Elven script:
To The Dukes of Baldurs Gate
It is with great thanks that I write this letter to you. The clemency shown by yourselves to Elrithmithrade and Elriandar is overwhelming.
I hope that this will be the beginning of a greater dialogue between the elven people and the people of Baldurs Gate.
With grateful thanks
Alarice Lharythlin.

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
Letter after letter arrives from the members of the Elven council at the Flaming Fist Mercenary Headquarters. While Duke Eltan reads the first a confused look crosses his face. Before he finishes reading it a second one is handed to him by one of his adjutants. The usually calm expression of the Grand Duke slowly fills with anger. Then he reads a third and a fourth...
Furious in anger about the blatant ignorance of his given orders he jumps up from his seat and shouts, his voice echoes through the halls of the Keep: "MYHUN KREN! TO ME, AT ONCE!" Mercenarys who are busy preparing their equipment for their upcoming patrol, turn their heads towards the direction from which the booming voice errupts - some of them drop their armor in shock, others just piss their pants - in any case a lot of work for the quartermaster and his subordinates.
"What does this man think he is doing, speaking in the name of me? Pardoning the killers of Justin Crownsilver? Releasing one of them without approval? He better has a good explanation for his doing or he will end just like an ordinary criminal on the floor of a wet and dirty cell! Why isn't he here yet? MESSENGERS!" he yells and crumples up the letters in his hands.
A scared cloud of messengers start to leave the keep heading in any possible direction - they search for Myhun Kren. Along with them a detachment of Fists make their way to the south - their destination the home of the organization known as "elven council". After a several hour-long march they arrive at the suspected location but find noone, they hammer a long nail into one of the old trees of the forrest - it serves as a mount for a letter adressed to the faction. After the men finished accomplishing their task they leave and return to the Gate.
The message they delivered reads as followed:
"To the members of the elven council,
I Eltan, one of the Grand Dukes of Baldur's Gate hereby inform you that the message which was delivered by Lieutenant Myhun Kren of the Flaming Fist was not the decision which was made by myself. He acted on his own and spread misinformation.
The two elves who were involved in the attack on Sir Justin Crownsilver are not pardoned. They haven't even been punished accordingly to their actions yet and were released because of unauthorized actions by a single individual who obviously overstepped his bounds, namely Myhun Kren. Even though the friendly messages which have arrived at the Flaming Fist Headquarters have pleased me and i strongly encourage further dialogue between the council and the Dukes i must say that a simple excuse for a hideous murder of one of our best soldiers followed by a quick release of the criminals who commited that assault was never my intention nor did i ordered to do so. The public apologies which have been made have been noted and they actually served a certain cause which i feel need to explain here. By forthbringing said apologies the two elves, namely Elrithmithrade and Elriandar saved themselves from burning at a stake. We are not barbaric torturers like portrayed by certain individuals lateley but we sure will not leave actions against our order unanswered and let them go with a simple "Sorry". The two individuals were supposed to face their punishment and were unauthorizedly released by Myhun Kren who will face severe consequences himself shortly.
To show my goodwill i ask you, the council, to inform Elrithmithrade and Elriandar to return to the city and face the consequences of their actions with honour. If they do so i m guaranteering they will remain unharmed and will be rehabilitated afterwards."
*the message is sealed and signed by Duke Eltan himself*
