The Crown of Amn, Her Grace, Lady Narasida Zakine-Albrongardo of Calimshan and Amn, and Paladin Wai Li of The Everwatch Knights - Order of the Church of Helm are seeking laborers and materials for a construction project in Northern Amn in the Cloud Peak Mountains Mountain Pass.

They seek the following professions out for this endeavor with an opportunity for fair compensation:

-Carpenters (4.000 gp / week)

Rumors spread that the construction project is to build a military watch tower and a caravan way station near and on the mountain pass through the Cloud Peak Mountains and that it is to be financed by Lady Narasida Zakine -- for the time being privately, without official backing from her family. Some say that the project is to assist Amn in fortifying and protecting its northern borders with less men and resources, to aid in its pivot to the south along its border with civil-war-torn Tethyr, others say that it is to pump the name of Lady Narasida Zakine and to profit her noble house in the City of Coin of Athkatla, by increasing and securing trade along the mountain pass, others still say that it is to empower the Helmite mission in the region, but only time will tell which reason(s) hold(s) truth.

A scrawny, male gnome with slicked back, black and greasy hair was seen entering the Temple of Helm in Nashkel, a few pieces of parchment in his hand upon entering, including one of the posted ads regarding construction jobs in northern Amn. Upon leaving, the Gnome no longer carried any visible papers on his person. Locals speculate that he was likely one of the first to apply for a job in the rumored Cloud Peaks project. For what position he applied for is anybody's guess, although it likely was not something involving heavy lifting.

Probably in relation to this undertaking the young Lady Zakine-Albrongardo seems to have made attempts to get in contact with the Scholars of Candlekeep as well as the Dwarfs of Kraak Helzak, trying to profit from the vast amount of knowledge collected by the one group as well as the legendary skills in Masonry-work of the other.

She, later accompanied by the Paladin Wai Li, has been seen in company of Candlekeeps reader Za'than Za'mal, entering the keep for negotiations of yet to be determined outcome.


The attentive observer may have noticed that in order to get in contact with Kraak Helzak she simply approached the first Dwarf she met, seemingly being under the impression that all Dwarfs know each other.

I forgot to mention last time I spoke, I would also be willing to help out with the labor in any way I could. However, I should mention I have no experience in masonry or general labor. It would be an entirely new experience for me! I would probably require close supervision, and it would be wise to keep me far away from Lady Narasida. I should also mention I am kinda weak, overweight, and extremely clumsy. I would definitely need frequent breaks to catch my breath.

*Za'than Za'amal can be seen talking with Lady Narasida along the Friendly Arm Inn. Those overhearing the talk will hear that they have been given permission to aid in the project from the Guide of Candlekeep, and that they look forward to working on the project, he and Acolyte Sarah*

Ater his talk with paladin Wai Li, Roric heads South from Frienly Arms Inn. He passes through the town of Nashkel, buying supplies on the way. He stops and heads in the Temple of Helm. After a moment of silent prayer at the altar he hands the paladin at the door a note and tells him to direct it to Wai Li, if possible. It reads the following.

"I will head to take a look at the pass and and the planned construction site you told me about. I reckon the place and the path needs to be watched and guarded. I will stay as long as supplies last and with luck we will run into each other. Helm protect us both."

After passing the note he is seen heading towards the foorhills by the Southern Gate of the town.

After a slew of due diligence and construction management meetings between Lady Narasida Zakine, Za'than Za'amal, and Wai Li, an initial list of labor is developed for the project.



In the Temple of the Guardian library in Nashkel, a sheet of parchment is posted on one wall stating the hired help so far gathered for the Cloud Peaks construction project with the type of work to be performed by each laborer in brackets. Each person listed is notified by courier of their official selection. Anyone that applied and was rejected is sent a notice of their formal rejection and told to contact Wai Li or Lady Zakine if they wish to appeal their rejected application.

First, I need ya ta arrange a daily wagon of fresh fixin's from Gullykin, da city, and Beregost auchards. Anodda of iced fish from da coast. I also be needin' a herd o cows n pigs n hens an enufff boys n girls to keep it all happy. Of course a wagon o'ale to keep da mason's in good cheer.

Ye do dat fer me, an I'll see dat crew eats right. Dey cannae work on empty bellies!

*In the last tenday the official meeting devoted to the Amn Watchtower Project between Lady Narashida Zakine, Paladin Wai Li and Candlekeep representatives – General Contractor Reader Za'than Za'amal and Head Architect Acolyte Sarah – was held.*



*Rumor has it that they discussed how the first construction draft of the Outpost should look like and then the four of them took a trip to the future construction site for the young Architect to see the exact location of this venture.*



*Some basic ground measures were taken as well as initial drafts and notes were made. It seems that, however slowly, the whole endeavour is a working progress.*

Wai Li is seen leaving Candlekeep with a wide smile on her face after meeting with Sarah and Za'than about the plans for the Outpost in the Cloud Peaks.

*The attic cramped space in Avowed quarters was transformed over the days into small, low-key, modest workshop. Only three wooden boards, old clothing case that is used as a desk and wobbly stool can fit in there but it doesn't bother the girl at all. Redhead stands a bit hunched, to avoid hitting her head against the ceiling, in front of the board that she built for the Amn Watchtower project, her forehead slightly narrows as her gaze wanders from one design to another. She makes some final adjustments then starts folding parchments filled with drawings into thick rolls so they would fit into the art tube. With a thoughtful expression she leaves her lair and heads out for the Inn to leave the tube in the room so it could wait for the meeting that is to take place later.

What she kept in mind while asking Wai Li to meet with her without Lady Zakine presence, is now making her mind spin a little. Her head is full of arguments, ideas and possibilities. She knows all to well that it may be taken as an offense by the noble when she hears about that meeting, but she had no choice. She obviously needs to explain her way of thinking to Wai Li and it is only possible if she isn't as freaked out as she always is with Zakine around. That frightening woman is like a walking horror, her sharp words, cold, forced and faked smile is apparently enough to make the girl hope for nothing more than hiding under some remote rock in the middle of nowhere and growing roots there. Redhead shakes her head abruptly trying to clear her mind. She forces herself to stay positive as she waits for what is there to come.*

*Later that day, long after sunset, when Paladin Wai Li arrives to Candlekeep to meet there with General Constructor Reader Za'than Za'amal and the little wannabe head architect Acolyte Sarah, those two are already there waiting. The three talk for some time in polite and friendly manner, so the atmosphere is rather calm which allows the Acolyte to present her designs and project description to Wai Li who is quite content with them and may even seem a little bit enthusiastic. Redhead agrees to make adjustments proposed by paladin and with those done send the designs, descriptions and the draft for estimated budged made by Za'than, to Lady Zakine in the next few days. They discuss other matters that are at hand, forging some little alliance of their own to make the whole endeavour as safe and secure for those that are suppose to work on it, as possible.

Parchments filled with drawings and designs are folded into rolls which are being kept safe in the art tube..*

OOC note: I want to make sure for everyone that those designs are completely ooc for other parties beside those included in the project. We just wanted to show that we are absolutely serious about that whole plot

Rumors have that incredible ability to spread no matter what. It only takes one person to be a witness of something and to tell some other soul about that.. Words spread like fire. This time it wasn't any different.
And, let's face it, what is a better gossip topic than a noble being bitten in the ass by her own actions?

From Candlekeep Inn words went wild. Soon whoever have any contact with those close to the keep could hear about unfortunate meeting that was held between Lady Zakine, paladin Wai Li and Acolyte Sarah few days ago. Apparently Amnian noble felt deeply offended that she hadn't been invited to the last meeting. Wanting to make a point, that she is the one that holds all the cards, she had fired Reader Za'than Za'amal from the position of General Contractor for the Amn Watchtower Project.

Acolyte, who was running late due to some trouble with snake people, approached Zakine and Wai Li in her fighting gear covered in blood, droplets of acid and mud a bit later. She kept her calm, it was much easier now, with what she had to face in few days, the noble cow didn't have any power over her anymore. However controlling the rage that had been making her move recently was a whole different matter, even though she listened to Zakine words patiently. After jade stopped talking nonsense, the girl traced the scar on her neck with a finger, frowning slightly. She could feel the craving in her to say the words, to lash out on that haughty crud, but she knew it was pointless and she held too much respect for Wai Li. The decision was simple and quick. Acolyte, calmly but decisively informed the noble that in the light of how things had been handled, she therefore resigns from the position of the head architect. The girl also made clear that as she hadn't been paid yet, she was taking all her designs, estimations and drafts with her. Not giving Zakine a chance to go all noble on her, Acolyte left the Inn.

She was back later that day, to have a quick talk with Winthrop.
“It is like that with conceited short-minded individuals. Let her taste her own stupidity. Now she will have to find another contractor and architect, walk them through the project again.. And we all know that time is coin. So let the words spread", redhead's lips curled into slightly malicious half-smile.
